[SET COMMENTS]
Choice Scarf Heatran functions on Steel as a good lure for normally faster threats like Tapu Koko, Nidoking, and Landorus-T, easing the Electric, Ground, and Flying matchups. Eruption takes advantage of Heatran attacking first, threatening Tapu Koko, non-Choice Scarf Zarude, and Nidoking. Flash Fire-boosted Eruption is hard to check, threatening even walls such as Gastrodon, Galarian Slowking, and Toxapex. Flamethrower is a consistent STAB move in case Heatran gets damaged; it also cleans Grass and Steel teams late-game. Earth Power picks off weakened Fire-types like Cinderace and Victini. Dragon Pulse threatens Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Hydreigon. Flash Cannon is Heatran's best option against Cradily and Fire-neutral Ice-types such as Kyurem and Thick Fat Mamoswine.

Heatran provides a Fire-type immunity for its team and can revenge kill threats like Nidoking and Mamoswine. Substitute + Toxic Aegislash is a good teammate, as it deters Galarian Zapdos, Thundurus-T, and Choice Band Zeraora from using Fighting-type moves. Additionally, it wears down walls such as Mantine and Slowbro for Heatran. Celesteela, Corviknight and Skarmory are immune to Ground-type attacks, which lets them check threats to Heatran such as Excadrill and Garchomp. Ferrothorn deals with Water-types such as Barraskewda and Tapu Fini, chips Garchomp and Landorus-T with Leech Seed, and sets up entry hazards. Excadrill uses Rapid Spin so that Heatran can stay healthy enough to utilize Eruption. Additionally, Excadrill can use Swords Dance + Earthquake to remove Toxapex, one of Heatran's strongest checks. Melmetal checks Zeraora, which is still faster than Heatran, and breaks specially defensive walls such as Chansey and Slowking. Bisharp deals with bulky Pokemon such as Tyranitar, Porygon2, Clefable, and Galarian Slowking while also checking threats such as Dragapult and Swift Swim Barraskewda with Sucker Punch.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Overheat may be used over Flamethrower on Choice Scarf Heatran to consistently OHKO Zarude and non-Assault Vest Melmetal. However, the Special Attack drop means that Heatran has to always switch out, rendering it unable to clean Grass and Steel teams late-game.

Choice Scarf Heatran is a phenomenal revenge killer (I wouldn't say phenomenal. It's a good revenge killer, but phenomenal sort of exaggerates what it can do.) due to it's ability to ease mirror matches against opposing Steel teams (As Neko said on Discord, its not that great into other Steel teams due ot the fact that protect is everywhere.) and to outpace threats such as Excadrill outside of sandstorm, Buzzwole, and Magnezone. Eruption takes advantage of Heatran being able to outpace opponents with a Choice Scarf so its total base power doesn't get affected, because of this Heatran is usually able to maintain Eruption's high base power making it a bigger offensive threat than other Heatran sets. Flamethrower is a backup Fire-type STAB move incase Heatran gets damaged and Eruption's base power is weakened beyond use. (Mention how this is relevent to allow it to hit things like Celesteel and Corviknight) Earth Power helps Heatran deal with Fire-types such as Volcanion, Cinderace, and most importantly opposing Heatran. Dragon Pulse allows Heatran to hit Dragon-type threats such as Garchomp and Hydreigon super-effectively, whereas Flash Cannon can be used instead because of STAB and it hits Pokemon such as Tapu Fini, Azumarill, and Terrakion (2/3 of the Pokémon you mentioned are neutral to Steel, and the other is hit super effectively by Earth Power). The chosen EV spread allows Heatran to outpace as many threats as possible with Choice Scarf whilst still keeping a high offensive profile.

Paragraph 2:
(Just say all of Heatran's teammates appreciate its Fire-immunity, then in a separate sentence mention its ability to revenge Cobalion and Mamoswine)
Aegislash, Celesteela, and Ferrothorn all appreciate Heatran's ability to absorb Fire-type attacks and revenge kill threats such as opposing Heatran, Cobalion, and Mamoswine.
In return, Aegislash is immune to Fighting-type attacks, Celesteela is immune to Ground-type attacks, and Ferrothorn has the ability to wear down Heatran's checks with Leech Seed and Iron Barbs. Excadrill is able to remove entry hazards with Rapid Spin so Heatran stays healthy enough for Eruption's base power to not be affected. Melmetal can break specially defensive walls such as Chansey, Tapu Fini, and Slowking. Bisharp helps Heatran break through Tyranitar, Porygon2, and Alolan Muk as well as check threats such as Dragapult, Barraskewda in rain, and weakened Landorus-Therian with Sucker Punch. (AP)

Choice Scarf Heatran is a good revenge killer due to it's ability to ease mirror matches against opposing Steel teams and to outpace threats such as Excadrill outside of sandstorm, Buzzwole, and Magnezone. (For the record, Excadrill usually runs Scarf (for steel, which means it will still Eq you first), or Adamant (Sandy Ground, which means you outspeed it without the scarf [275 vs 278 Speed iirc]. Buzzwole will usually be used in Bug, meaning Webs (so you can't outspeed it, Magnezone you outspeed normally [if you invest in speed] or is scarf. Magnezone isn't staying in either way. I'd like to see examples such as Nidoking, Tapu Koko [things that normally stay in on you] and threats like Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Hydreigon which you kinda pick off after prior chip. Its not good in the Steel matchup either, but it helps a lot in mus such as Ground (FF boosted Eruption 2HKO'es Gastrodon, no one wants to switch into it lol), Flying (Catching cocky Lando-T's is nice, though you forfeit momentum as DDnite will come on you next turn), Electric (No more Tapu Koko = A.Chu not being as scary), Grass. Also you should probably note somwhere that its kinda bad for a Scarfer, ultra fast stuff like Dragpult, Zeraora will outspeed it.) Eruption takes advantage of Heatran being able to outpace opponents with a Choice Scarf so its total base power doesn't get affected, because of this Heatran is usually able to maintain Eruption's high base power making it a bigger offensive threat than other Heatran sets. (Mention actual targets, that normally dont mind typical Heatran sets, this kinda reads like Fluff rn) Flamethrower is a backup Fire-type STAB move incase Heatran gets damaged and Eruption's base power is weakened beyond use; this is especially useful for the likes Corviknight and Celesteela which otherwise wall Heatran when Eruption is weak enough. (just mention its a consistent STAB, more than just hitting Corv Celes I think) Earth Power helps Heatran deal with Fire-types such as Volcanion, Cinderace, and most importantly opposing Heatran. (252 SpA Heatran Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heatran: 272-324 (70.4 - 83.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery, you actually lose the trade unless it comes on you. You also don't beat [0HKO] Cinderace, Volcanion, buut I think the better wording is picks off, or catch these off guard. Should you do this, also add Victini) Dragon Pulse allows Heatran to hit Dragon-type threats such as Garchomp and Hydreigon super-effectively, whereas Flash Cannon can be used instead because it hits Pokemon such as Cradily, Aerodactyl, and Grimmsnarl. (Cradily is an alright mention, but Aerodactyl and Grimmsnarl not so much. Aero doesn't really exist in monotype, and Grimmsnarl...wont stay in [It can even Twave you, so I'd rather not hit Grimmsnarl in the first place XP]. I legitimately cannot think of targets to hit aside from Kyurem and Mamoswine, which makes me question why is this slashed) The chosen EV spread allows Heatran to outpace as many threats as possible with Choice Scarf whilst still keeping a high offensive profile. (Better say what mons it outpaces/murders)

Heatran provides a Fire-type immunity for the team and revenge kills threats like Cobalion and Mamoswine. Ok so Alolan Muk isn't in Galar [otherwise every Poison team would literally run it]. Please review this paragraph and the mons it targets and I will check it again.
Its also nicer to say what mons Ferro, Celes, Aegis check.
Also, one of the main uses of Scarf Tran is that it frees Exca from being a scarfer, so I think SD Exca should have a mention here, somewhere.

Choice Scarf Heatran functions as a good lure for Steel teams due to its ability to outpace and surprise threats such as Tapu Koko, Nidoking, and Landorus-T, allowing it to ease the Electric, Ground, and Flying matchups. Eruption takes advantage of Heatran being able to outpace opponents with a Choice Scarf, which lets it threaten Tapu Koko, non-Choice Scarf Zarude, and Nidoking. (added period), Eruption is also incredibly hard to switch into after Flash Fire activation; letting Heatran threaten even bulky walls resists such as Gastrodon, Galarian Slowking, and Toxapex. Flamethrower is a consistent Fire-type STAB move incase Heatran gets damaged and Eruption's base power is weakened beyond use; it can also clean Grass and Steel teams in late-game. Dragon Pulse threatens Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Hydreigon, whereas Flash Cannon deals with Ice-types such as Kyurem and Mamoswine, and lets it deal with Cradily better.

Overheat is a viable option over Flamethrower on the Choice Scarf variant because it allows Heatran to check the likes of Zarude and Melmetal, and due to Heatran commonly having to switch out because of it being locked into a move; the special attack drops may not be too significant. Overheat over Flamethrower may be used on the Choice Scarf set to let Heatran consistently OHKO Zarude and non-Assault Vest Melmetal. However, the Special Attack drop means that Heatran has to always switch out, (forfeiting momentum to the opposing team and) rendering it unable to clean types such as Grass and Steel late-game.

*This will be added in the current other options section for Heatran in the smogdex
