Heliolisk @ Choice Specs
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hyper Voice
- Surf / Dark Pulse

Ever since its arrival in NU, Heliolisk has been a consistent offensive threat and pivot with a diverse movepool that lets it manage Electric-resistant and -immune Pokemon with its coverage options. The recent dip in viability of Mega Audino and Type: Null—two of Heliolisk's most effective switch-ins—has furthered Heliolisk's offensive prominence, as it frees up Heliolisk's moveset to run Thunderbolt, letting it beat Vaporeon with ease. Heliolisk's potency lets it force many switches into blanket special walls like Incineroar, Vileplume, and Silvally-Steel, and it can capitalize on those switches with Volt Switch. For this reason and because Heliolisk is too fragile to directly switch into attacks, Heliolisk synergizes well with VoltTurn support from the likes of Passimian and Xatu. Additionally, Pokemon like Slowbro, Incineroar, and Xatu keep opposing Passimian, Sneasel, and Torterra in check for Heliolisk.

emphasise that helio is actually good cos it can muscle past common electric immunities and resistances with its coverage.. that's like the biggest selling point to helio

also the last part is kinda fluff i guess? if you really want to talk teammates talk abt the things that really matter with helio, aka pass checks, sneasel checks, tort checks and stuff, spikes is fine but it's so generalized the point of it just being kinda fluff

also new snake rlly hyped this up, it's always been good but snake brought it more attention, add a replay of helio in snake doing rly well

1/1 after you've done this

The recent dip in viability of Mega Audino and Type: Nulltwo of Heliolisk's most effective switch-inshas (replace these hyphens with em dashes) furthered Heliolisk's offensive prominence, as it frees up Heliolisk's movepool moveset to run Thunderbolt, letting it to beat Vaporeon with ease. (optional: or a similar replacement, the double "to" feels awkward) Heliolisk's potency lets it force many switches into blanket specially defensive walls (or just "special walls"?) like Incineroar, Vileplume, and Silvally-Steel and (optional: add a comma before "and", and either add "it can" after the comma or replace everything after the comma with "which it can capitalize on with Volt Switch" or similar, because i think you move beyond talking about Heliolisk's potency here) capitalize on those switches with Volt Switch. For both this reason ("both" doesn't work here because "For because Heliolisk is too fragile" doesn't make sense; you would need another word that could work with "For" after the "and") and because Heliolisk is too fragile to directly switch into attacks itself, (you could remove one of "directly" and "itself" and keep the meaning) Heliolisk synergizes well with VoltTurn support from the likes of Passimian and Xatu. Additionally, Pokemon like Slowbro, Incineroar, and Xatu keep opposing (optional) Passimian, Sneasel, and Torterra in check for Heliolisk.
