Gen 3 Hey, i Could do this ALL day! RMT[UU]

This team is one of those "Average" teams. I could use some help fixing it up, its the 5th Team i made so keep in mind i cant use 24 pokemon because i never use the same one twice, yeah, im cool like that.

Electabuzz (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Static
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Ice Punch
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Toxic

I lead with this because i can usually start with the advantage, unless they open with a rest talking lanturn. Substitute is because if i predict the switch to hypno/other special walls and i use toxic. I can substitute and kill their walls, i cant kill some quagsires or resters/Sleep talkers like this but it hurts most pokemon. Most quagsires wont switch in anyway for fear of hp grass.

Lunatone @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 188 Def / 32 Spd / 36 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Baton Pass
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Reflect

When i HAVE to switch out electabuzz i can switch lunatone into the EQ/physical move, Set up reflect, and start CMing, if they have a faster counter that can 2hko before i can cm and attack/BP or just kill then ill have to switch, if not then i can cm and pass to Blastoise or electabuzz or even vitreebell who can sleep and SD. Also a nice Normal resist.

Victreebel (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spd
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Sleep Powder
- Sludge Bomb
- Swords Dance

Late game sweeper, outspeeds all salacers pre salac, and various other 229 max speed pokemon, as well as slower ones. HP grass ohkos quagsire(i think) and Sludgebomb hits everything hard except what hp grass can hit besides aggron/gligar. If Any of those 2 come in, i sleep them :D.

Primeape (M) @ Liechi Berry
Trait: Vital Spirit
EVs: 8 HP / 248 Atk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Hidden Power [Ghost]
- Ice Punch
- Reversal
- Substitute

This is an interesting Build imo, Gligar is the most reliable and common reversal counter, but if it comes in on a substitute, i can 2hko it before it touches me. Stab reversal hurts alot, HP ghost for ghosts.

Blastoise (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Surf

Blastoise is the definition of a Bulky water. It cant get ohkod by pretty much anything. This Absorbs status and is harder to counter then the standard. Can also receive CM boosts. This thing hates Tbolt Lanturn.

Nidoqueen (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Poison Point
EVs: 252 HP / 108 Atk / 80 Def / 12 Spd / 56 SAtk
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Counter
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt

Can counter some CBers for a surprise KO, as well as kill Lanturn regardless of what attacks it has if it comes in on a thunderbolt or thunder wave, even substitute. Ice Beam ohkos gligar and nearly ohkos most altarias. Thunderbolt is sort of...i dont know, it hits Walrein and blastoise harder then EQ i guess, and i guess mantine.

This team has more to work on then the other ones so hopefully it will take longer. Thanks in advance!

Meh. Works.

Sub over Reflect or Rest/Ice Beam/HP Dark over BP

lol why are you so worried about countering Gligar lately? If anything, you have the assurance that Gligar can't switch in on Electabuzz, Blastoise counters Gligar, and Nidoqueen is made to predict Gligars and Ice Beam them. Even Lunatone helps out if Iron Tail isn't play/ IMO, let them all do their job so that Primeape can do what it does best by placing Bulk Up/Cross Chop/Rock Slide over Ice Punch. Heck, since you're using Liechi over Salac, you could run Brick Break/Rock Slide over Ice Punch/Reversal.

Blastoise (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

I personally prefer EQ over Ice Beam on the Sleep Talk set so you can counter Tentacruel, which is raping your team right now. Also does a decent number on Lanturn switch ins.

Nidoqueen (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Poison Point
EVs: 252 HP / 108 Atk / 80 Def / 12 Spd / 56 SAtk
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Counter
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt

I'd personally run a -Speed Nature, just because Nidoqueen is more defense oriented than Nidoking. From the looks of it though, you need to hit Hypno harder, so I'd suggest something like Earthquake/Shadow Ball/Ice Beam/Thunderbolt or Fire Blast or switch over to Nidoking for Megahorn.

This team has more to work on then the other ones so hopefully it will take longer. Thanks in advance!
Kangaskhan and Tentacruel can mess things up pretty quickly. Reflect on Lunatone KINDA helps with the former, but it's not going to be consistently reliable, considering Kangaskhan is usually faster and hits like a hammer. Try messing around with a Wisher to help out Lunatone if you want to keep it as a normal resistance. You could also try Counter on Blastoise (Better than it is on Nidoqueen since Blastoise has no physical weakness) or even a variant of Solrock that attacks physically but passes Calm Mind. Calm Mind/Rock Slide/BP/Explosion comes to mind, off the top of my head. Your best bet against Tentacruel, though is probably Earthquake on Blastoise or Curse Muk.

Well Gligar is SO hard to counter if its not a surprise ice attack. Its because, so many pokemon can eat ice beam for dinner and then force a switch/set up. But yea, i guess thats not too much of an issue on this team, i guess i can go with bulk up/rock slide maybe even Screech?.

On a side note...i Could change primape to CB reversal which sort of works because he is fast and can switch into sleep AND can dent ANYthing with CB stab reversal.

I like the Idea of EQ on blastoise, but the thing is that makes altaria somewhat of a problem, ill see how it works anyway, what would your recommended ev spread/nature be for that?.

With Nidoqueen i guess i can use shadowball and make it -speed but that fast stab EQ helps quite a bit against some electrics that are harder to counter. If Hypno has psychic i can send in lunatone so i guess that works since nidoqueen is immune to Twave and toxic. I can also counter hypno for 200 damage if it will kill it. I like being faster then 191 so i can outspeed most walreins(not important since im dropping tbolt) and lanturns(very important) also various sandslash and other slow pokemon that are damaged that i may be able to ice beam and kill.

After testing out the blastoise im not sure, i think i would rather get rapid spin on it somewhere and just make it rest, not rest talk.

I for some reason decided to pass cms to Nidoqueen one time... and it worked really well even though the only SPA i had was ice beam, i couldnt get kod by surfs and stuff, i could EQ and kill them if they were weak. Shadowball seems redundant with EQ as eq does more damage to everything but levitating ghosts, and Xatu, and slightly more to psychic. So maybe Fire blast or thunderbolt? Even Crunch to hurt those Thick Fat psychics who put reflect up. Or i could just stick with Tbolt/fire blast.

you could try hp ground over hp grass on victrebel, and on primeape, use rock slide, hp rock, or something else more useful. you already have 3 pokes with ice attacks. lunatone does almost nothing for your team with baton pass. electabuzz is your lead, so that makes it a bad choice for a reciever, and nothing else can sweep with the boosts. replace bp with ice beam or reflect as it seems all your defensive pokemon are more suited to being physical tanks with your ev's already. you could really just try giving luna some speed to try to weaken the team for primeape. and if you do that, a modest luna would need like 230 speed to outspeed that base group I cant think of right now, and if you decided to go timid( if you give it speed at all) then just run 260 speed, but in that case you could just run max speed anyway.the set you would need for that would be something like calm mind/psychic/ice beam/hp dark.

Thanks someone has something to say, the problem with HP ground is that i cant sweep with a weak un stabbed attack, The only poisons that would come in are tentacruel, and nidoking which means i need to switch out anyway cause they are faster. Or a nidoqueen that hpground wont ohko either. HP grass gives better type coverage, and 2 types of attacks so i cant be walled by golem or walrein or the like. It also works wonders with a couple CMs.

I changed luna to an attackless variant, with sub/reflect/cm/bp because i dont need an attack if im BPing anyway. I like the bp aspect too because no one really expects it. Nidoqueen would like CMs if i gave it thunderbolt or fire blast over shadow ball. Blastoise likes CMS as well. I need to keep reflect because its my only normal/ground resist, and reflect also helps me set up Cms. I guess i could change it to CM/reflect/psychic/ice beam...

I switched primeape to Bulk Up over ice punch.

The title is misleading if you have only 3 teams left, you could always make more, most of my teams are unrated. =/

Also, you should edit posts instead of just adding more replies. Just saying.

Well then it doesnt bump the thread, i Could make more teams the point i dont feel this team is finished yet. So point out more stuff i need to fix gogogo.

So, i decided to try walrein over blastoise to help with tentacruel with encore or Earthquake. So if no one has anything else to say...ill move on to team number 6(they will keep getting worse)
