Gen 6 hi

not played any competitive pokemon since gen 4.

been playing alpha sapphire and this was something i am trying online and on showdown - any suggestions and any help with gaping problems would be appreciated as i am a little out of touch.

Tornadus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Taunt
- U-turn
- Defog

I like this lead as it disrupts any setting up rocks etc, and checks a lot of stuff from the get go.
acts as one of my main pivots, and defogs any nonsense. also regenerator and rocky helmet.

Tyranitar-Mega @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
Level: 50
EVs: 164 HP / 124 Atk / 220 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Fire Punch

i sort of built around this. initially it was choice band, but i wanted something late game.
has bulk, but enough speed to outspeed base 110 +speed after one dance.
fire punch i was debating, but i think it offers better coverage late on.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 228 Def / 28 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Power Whip
- Knock Off
- Leech Seed
- Stealth Rock

this does a few things i want including blocking some physical threats and setting up stealth rock. i dabbled with spikes instead, and putting stealth rock elsewhere, but this seems well paired with tyranitar.

Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 36 Def / 220 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Earthquake
- Recover
- Scald
- Toxic

stops heatran and other tyranitar counters.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 228 SpD / 28 Spe
Careful Nature
- U-turn
- Wish
- Protect
- Iron Head

another pivot, and passes wish.
kind of relying on this quite a lot in order to keep a few things alive.
considering reflect/lightscreen over iron head.
enough speed to outrun neutral, max speed tyranitar.

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Iron Fist
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 76 Atk / 180 Def
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge
- Hammer Arm

i just wanted to use this.
straight up stops tyranitar.
hammer arm could be replaced for mach punch, but have not encountered many situations where it would be useful.
knock off may also change too.

not sure how popular mix infernape is any more, but in-game i have problems with that.

also the point is to stall and chip as much as possible, until tyranitar can't be stopped.

additionally, i had scarf thundurus over conkeldurr which adds some additional pivot, speed, and special attack. but i like this too.
