As you may know already, this round will be decided through a Bo3. These are the general rules that you need to take into account:
- Each player should pick a format from the following list:
- Gen 9 Ubers
- Gen 9 UU
- Gen 9 RU
- Gen 9 Doubles OU
- Gen 9 LC
- Gen 8 OU
- Gen 7 OU
- Gen 6 OU
- Gen 5 OU
- Gen 4 OU
- Gen 3 OU
- The formats cannot be repeated in the Bo3, so the two players are obliged to choose different formats. The format for the third game will be SV OU.
- In principle, no deadlines are specified to choose the formats to play. It is recommended to let your opponent know while you schedule and as soon as possible. If any player delayed their selection excessively in a way that resulted an inconvenience for their opponent, hosts may take action, but we hope that this is not necessary and you can fix the formats to play as soon as possible.
- For this reason, all schedules must be made public (including the selected formats). Please, contact your opponent at the beginning of the round through their Smogon wall to accelerate the process.
- The player with the higher seed will have the chance to choose which format to play in the first game (even if it was picked by their opponent). Then, the player who loses a game can choose which format to play the next. For better clarity, the player with the higher seed is underlined in each case.
- REPLAYS ARE MANDATORY for every game, otherwise the battles won't count.
- Smogon tournaments rules and guidelines will apply.
