How long will the Pokemon franchise last?

Acknowledged to exist and officially recognized are not the same thing. Missingno. isn't canon.

lol what i said was a joke. Seriously, who cares if it is canon now with all this timey whimey (multiverse) stuff.

I do think that the pokemon franchise should continue but, instead, do what they did in X and Y, where most of the dex is pokemon from other regions/do not release many pokemon/release only pokemon based on concepts we haven't had.

Considering they said "not a real part of the game" in their customer service statement, then no. In fact, it would be the direct opposite.
