With a plethora of coverage options backed by strong power, Choice Specs Hydreigon is a fearsome wallbreaker in the ORAS OU metagame that can set itself apart from Latios, a tough competitor. Hydreigon sports a colorful and powerful movepool that allows it to check threats such as Bisharp, Mega Scizor, and Mega Slowbro, and thanks to Flash Cannon, Clefable and Mega Altaria are no longer considered switch-ins. Hydreigon's typing also makes Pursuit trapping from the likes of Weavile, Tyranitar, and Mega Metagross ineffective, which greatly sets it apart from Latios. Hydreigon values teammates such as Mega Metagross, Mega Scizor, and Excadrill, as they are able to patch up Hydreigon's weakness to Fairy- and Dragon-type moves. Partners such as Serperior and Choice Specs Keldeo are able to pressure and form a wallbreaking core alongside Hydreigon to overwhelm its main check in the tier, Assault Vest Tornadus-T.

This is a great post. I think one thing you can add is hydras resistance to dark. Not being vulnerable to pursuit is one if the main upsides to using hydra over latios.

Hydreigon also possesses many key resistances allowing it to switch into passive moves from Rotom-W, and Slowbro, in addition to being resistant to Pursuit trappers Hydreigon's typing also makes Pursuit trapping from the likes of Weavile, Tyranitar, and Mega Metagross ineffective, (AC) which greatly sets it apart from other Pokemon such as Latios in the tier.
