Choice Specs turns Kyurem into a terrifying wallbreaker, with the only effective counterplay once it's in being to predict its move. Freeze-Dry allows Kyurem to blow through the Water-types that resist its Ice Beam such as Slowking, Tapu Fini, and Toxapex. Earth Power and Focus Blast give it the coverage it needs to blow away the Fire- and Steel-types that resist Ice. Earth Power can easily OHKO Heatran and can possibly OHKO Astrolotl, as well as 2HKOing Galarian Slowking after Stealth Rock. Focus Blast allows Kyurem to OHKO Tyranitar and 2HKO Scizor and physically defensive Blissey. Draco Meteor can be run over Focus Blast for a nuke, but it provides significantly less coverage. A Modest nature is usually employed to maximize Kyurem's damage output and hit the aforementioned rolls, but a Timid nature allows Kyurem to outspeed standard Colossoil and Landorus-T as well as Speed tie with Timid Tapu Lele, making it harder to revenge kill.

Stealth Rock cripples Kyurem, so removing entry hazards is of utmost importance. Tornadus-T is a fantastic partner, having access to Defog and checking some of Kyurem's defensive checks such as Galarian Slowking and Corviknight. It can also provide Kyurem a safe switch through pivoting with U-turn. Tapu Fini can similarly remove entry hazards and can employ Nature's Madness or Taunt to keep Kyurem's foes at low health. Pivot support is also important, as Kyurem doesn't get too many free switches. Urshifu-R deals with the Steel-types that resist Kyurem's STAB moves and can easily bring it in with U-turn. In return, Kyurem can break through Water-types that stop Urshifu-R, such as Slowbro, Toxapex, and Arghonaut, while simultaneously punishing Rocky Helmet holders such as Corviknight and Skarmory. Corviknight and Landorus-T can both provide slow pivoting and have access to Defog, giving ample opportunities for Kyurem to come in. Wallbreakers also enable Kyurem. Weavile and Melmetal both help overwhelm their shared checks, such as Corviknight and Slowking, while Heatran can trap Galarian Slowking and Blissey with Magma Storm, while Kyurem removes Tapu Fini and Colossoil for it.

This set utilizes Substitute and Pressure to PP stall attacks from Kyurem's checks while using Roost to remain healthy. Galarian Slowking's Sludge Bomb, Arghonaut's Circle Throw, and Clefable's Moonblast are prime targets for Kyurem to slowly stall out. Freeze-Dry allows Kyurem to hit Water-types such as Toxapex, Arghonaut, Slowking, and Tapu Fini. Earth Power provides good coverage against Steel-types such as Heatran and Melmetal, as well as versus Galarian Slowking. The HP EVs allow Kyurem to create Substitutes that Blissey's Seismic Toss cannot instantly break, with the Speed investment allowing it to outspeed Jolly Excadrill. An alternative spread of 52 HP / 204 SpA / 252 Spe lets it outspeed Jolly Landorus-T and Miasmaw, as well as Speed tying with maximum Speed Tapu Lele and Colossoil. Heavy-Duty Boots negates damage from entry hazards, maximizing the chances of Kyurem getting a Substitute up.

This set best fits on bulkier teams, which enable it to stall out as many foes as possible. Toxic Spikes from Toxapex and Spikes from Arghonaut are appreciated, chipping its checks such as Tyranitar and Galarian Slowking. Heatran is a fantastic partner, being able to set Stealth Rock, threaten Steel-types such as Corviknight and Scizor, and trap Galarian Slowking, Slowking, and Blissey. Cleric support from Astrolotl or Blissey is very useful in case Kyurem gets afflicted by Toxic or paralysis. Another good partner is Buzzwole, acting as a Knock Off absorber and general answer to a lot of Kyurem's offensive checks such as Zeraora and Urshifu-R. On semi-stall teams, Corviknight not only removes entry hazards, but also helps PP stall with Pressure alongside Kyurem.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
===================

Icicle Spear combined with Dragon Dance can replace the two attacking moves on the Substitute set, letting Kyurem beat Toxapex lacking Haze as well as Corviknight and opposing Kyurem. The lack of coverage, however, leaves it easier to wall by the Future Sight and Doom Desire users of the tier like Slowking and Equilibra.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Special Walls**: Blissey, Tyranitar, and Galarian Slowking can take Kyurem's attacks, but they need to be wary of the Choice Specs set's coverage options. Specially defensive Clefable can easily deal with the Substitute set but must be careful of getting its Moonblast PP depleted.

**Bulky Steel-types**: Specially defensive Scizor, Melmetal, and Heatran can all take Kyurem's STAB attacks but must be wary of the Choice Specs set's coverage options.

**Revenge Killers**: Dragapult, offensive Jumbao, and Urshifu-R can all threaten to outspeed and OHKO Kyurem. Dragapult in particular can go through Kyurem's Substitute with Infiltrator and threaten to OHKO. However, none of them can safely switch into any of Kyurem's attacks.

**Volcarona**: Bulky variants of Volcarona can easily take any of Kyurem's attacks not named Draco Meteor.

[SET]
name: Choice Specs
move 1: Freeze Dry
move 2: Ice Beam
move 3: Earth Power / Draco Meteor
move 4: Focus Blast / Draco Meteor: I am of the opinion that Kyurem should rarely if ever drop Earth Power since its most common switchins are Galarian Slowking and Heatran. I think a more realistic slash for Draco would be over Focus Blast, since Ice Beam hits most of Focus Blasts targets barring Blissey hard anyways. As an aside, I think this because gking and tran are much more common than Tyranitar and slightly more common than Scizor in the current metagame.

Earth Power and Focus Blast give it the coverage it needs to blow away the Fire- and Steel-types that resist its STAB. Earth Power can easily OHKO Heatran and has a roll to OHKO Astrolotl, while also 2HKOing Galarian Slowking after Stealth Rock damage. Focus Blast allows Kyurem to OHKO Tyranitar and 2HKO Scizor, Equilibra, (libra is much more common on teams as a soft kyurem check than Ttar at this point, and I think it is a more relevant example. Ice beam from modest specs is a very unfavorable roll to 2hko, so Focus Blast is nice here, especially since libra's have begun to prefer Flash Cannon over Aura Sphere as of late.) and physically defensive Blissey. Draco Meteor can be run over Earth Power Focus Blast to have access to a powerful nuke, but it provides significantly less coverage. A Timid nature allows Kyurem to outspeed Jolly Miasmaw and Landorus-T as well as Speed tie with Timid Tapu Lele, making it harder to revenge kill.

Kyurem works best when paired up with other strong breakers. Urshifu-R can break through the Steel-types that resist Kyurem's STAB and can easily bring it in with U-turn. In return, Kyurem can break through all the Water-types that stop Urshifu's reign of terror, such as Slowbro, Toxapex, and Arghonaut while simultaneously punishing Rocky Helmet holders such as Corviknight and Skarmory and come in Rillaboom's Grassy Glide. (I would mention another breaker/sweeper that pairs well with Kyurem. Personally, I think Melmetal or Weavile both qualify as enjoying what Kyurem does to walls.)Heatran can trap Galarian Slowking and Blissey with Magma Storm while Kyurem removes Tapu Fini and Colossoil for it. Entry hazard removal is pertinent to Kyurem's success as a wallbreaker. Tornadus-T can use Defog to remove them while also removing the items off of walls such as Galarian Slowking with Knock Off, while Corviknight can pivot into Kyurem safely with its slow U-turn.

Choice Specs turns Kyurem into a terrifying wallbreaker. (You should emphasize this more; Kyurem literally does not have defensive counterplay if it predicts properly.) Freeze Dry allows Kyurem to blow through the Water-types that resist its Ice Beam such as Slowking, Tapu Fini, and Toxapex. Focus Blast allows Kyurem to OHKO Tyranitar and 2HKO Scizor and physically defensive Blissey. Draco Meteor can be run over Earth Power to have access to a powerful nuke, but it provides significantly less coverage. A Timid nature allows Kyurem to outspeed Jolly Miasmaw and Landorus-T as well as Speed tie with Timid Tapu Lele, making it harder to revenge kill. (Where is the mention of Modest here?)

Kyurem works best when paired up with other strong breakers. Urshifu-R can break through the Steel-types that resist Kyurem's STAB and can easily bring it in with U-turn. (Honestly, I think hazard removal and pivot support deserve to be the first two mentions in this section. Aggressive play with Stealth Rock up is the best way for opponent's to mitigate Kyurem's wallbreaking effectiveness, and by keeping hazards off the field and giving Kyurem guaranteed switches, you make it so much more difficult to play into.)

Implement dex's suggestions too; they're good. Also, it's Freeze-Dry (note the hyphen); correct all spellings of this (and in general read this over for the basic grammar issues, of which there are a lot). QC 1/2 when done.

(are there that many? would it just be easier to list them all and remove "like"? up to you)

Checks and Counters
===================

**Special Walls**: Blissey, Tyranitar, and Galarian Slowking can take Kyurem's attacks, but they need to be wary of Choice Specs' the Choice Specs set's coverage options. Specially defensive Clefable can easily deal with the Substitute set but must be careful of getting its Moonblast PP depleted.

**Bulky Steel-types**: Specially defensive Scizor, Melmetal, and Heatran can all take Kyurem's STAB attacks but must be wary of Choice Specs' the Choice Specs set's coverage options.

**Revenge Killers**: Dragapult, offensive Jumbao, and Urshifu-R can all threaten to outspeed and OHKO Kyurem. Dragapult in particular can go through Kyurem's Substitute with Infiltrator and threaten to OHKO. However, none of them can safely switch in to into any of Kyurem's attacks.

**Volcarona**: Bulky variants of Volcarona can easily take any of Kyurems hits Kyurem's attacks not named Draco Meteor.
