Badger (Linoone) (M) @ Aguav Berry
Ability: Gluttony
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Belly Drum
- Extreme Speed
- Seed Bomb
- Shadow Claw
This is the first Pokémon I send out, standard belly drum Linoone. Its great when they try to switch out for a type advantage or they set up spikes because it makes belly drum basically free. I end with about 83% HP. His job is to go in and kill usually two Pokémon or weaken walls before going down himself. It makes cleanup easier.
Chicken (Blaziken) (M) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Speed Boost
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Fire Punch
- Thunder Punch
I try to send him in on a U-turn from Jirachi early (or healing wish later in the game for a second chance with Blaziken), as he resists a lot of Jirachi's weaknesses and forces a switch giving me a free swords dance. Good coverage and I chose Fire Punch over Flare Blitz so he can last longer, he still OHKO most things with Fire Punch. By the time a sweeper get on the field Speed Boost makes me faster.
Lilypad (Ludicolo) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Rain Dish
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rain Dance
- Protect
- Leech Seed
- Toxic
Classic Toxic stall. Focus on high hp and recovery. I'm thinking of an alternate build with ice beam instead of leech seed for flying types. I might switch this out for Spikes Skarmory but I don't think he will fit too well with the team considering I lead with Linoone and don't focus on hazards too much.
Plane (Latios) (M) @ Soul Dew
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psychic
- Surf
- Recover
Straightforward. Soul Dew Latios. Pure damage and HP EV's to take a hit or two. I use surf to make the most of levitate. Switch in on a STAB Earthquake and they don't tend to see the surf coming the first time around. Considering Choice Specs to deal more damage but I would have to take recover off. I personally don't think that's optimal but I'm open to any suggestions.
Mudfish (Swampert) (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Liquidation
- Earthquake
- Avalanche
- Rock Slide
I use him for coverage, he's bulky and hits hard. I know without Mega he just isn't the same, but I still haven't had too much issue yet. I good Electric move prediction is enough to get a clean switch but I don't know if I should consider adding bulk up to use when the inevitably switch out of the electric type of if I should just go for damage on the switch in.
Shooting Star (Jirachi) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Healing Wish
- Iron Head
- U-turn
- Fire Punch
Fairy coverage mostly but healing wish and U-turn is great for Blaziken as previously stated. He should always outspeed so U-turn on something Blaziken can resist early game or Healing wish late game and I get to use Blaziken twice. Still good on a Swampert or something else but that is my main use for it.
