Incorrect niche interaction between prankster and psychic terrain with spread status moves?

So I was prepping for a draft league match and was looking at the interactions between a few mechanics and either showdown has a mechanic wrong or bulbapedia does(or I am misreading something which is definitely possible). I was rereading the bulbapedia article on psychic terrain to find any weird interactions I could make use of and this part is what caught my eye:
The last part is the part I am interested in. On this list of moves that target all adjacent foes is cotton spore. I read this to mean that a whimsicott with prankster could still use cotton spore in psychic terrain because it does not target a specific opposing pokemon. (I know tailwind is better in almost every way and works in psychic terrain but I am facing a team with hatterene and wanted to see if I could use cotton spore with the intention of having it bounce back from magic bounce to lower my pokemon's speed so I could outspeed under trick room). I went to go test this interaction on showdown and unfortunately my whimsicott's cotton spore was blocked by the psychic terrain. I haven't had a chance to test it in a match on cartridge yet but I hope to soon. My question just is which one is correct bulbapedia or showdown? The entry on bulbapedia seems to directly state that prankster cotton spore shouldn't be blocked but on showdown it is. I think I am going to try and test to see how other spread status moves interact soon when I have the time. Does anyone have any more information on this topic?
