Now before you go flaming me, I just want to bring up one of the most controversial topics in Pokemon: Blissey. Some people think it should be automatically included in OU and everything; others tend to think more against offensive Pokemon. Now, I don't think it's uncounterable or anything, but I feel in many ways it does break the metagame. I feel it meets the defensive characteristic in that it walls or stalls the metagame with very little effort. I've read on many occasions that people have to resort to Blissey to counter certain things in the Suspect Ladder and it might be the only sure factor: I'm wondering if this qualifies it as uber in itself.
But from my actual experience using it, let's put some of the actual things it does:
1. It hoses most speed games down. T-Wave really grounds any type of speed sweepers.
2. It is the ULTIMATE Special Wall. Hell, even Kyogre, argubably the most powerful special attacker, has trouble 2HKO'ing it. Blissey sees an amazing amount of use on the uber ladder and in uber battles because of this.
3. It takes a relatively good physical hit too due to its high HP. I usually find myself resorting to things like CB Salamence with Outrage or Life Orb Machamp to kill the thing on the physical side, and those are really heavy hitters.
4. Versatility. It can kill special attacking Legendaries with Seismic Toss. It can sucker people into Counter for thousands of HP of damage. It can Calm Mind and run a special set and make it special impenetrable. It has a lot of options
Now ways to counter Blissey generally:
1. Taunt
2. The highest power of physical sweepers
3. Physical ghosts (generally rare, but they're immune to Counter)
4. Trickbanding
5. 101 HP Subs
Now I'm not saying it should be voted uber or anything, but I think it warrants enough bad press that it should be at least tested or something when time is allowed.
