Is there a way to link Youtube clips without the site automatically embedding them?

I ask this because of this page: http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/top-anime-openings-or-endings-music-video.3499527/ There were so many embedded clips that Firefox crashed, twice, and this computer was bought three weeks ago, so its processing capabilities should be fairly good.

There probably is a way to. There's the media tag to embed manually anyway and isn't much harder. Sounds good to have but a workaround would be to link a youtube video to a word or something instead. Like say Nyan Cat. I'mma tag Joim straightaway and see if he wants to do this.

Just posting to say I've seen this, I just haven't had time to do/post anything constructive yet.
