Cntrl+X again. Heal's ability got results for one additional scum on the island when Smogacc and Moody joined the island. So it was a 50/50 between them. Mx got it into his head to lynch one and make the other vote to leave, saying if the one we lynched was the Townie, he could announce to the target island about the departee being scum.
It didn't quite work out as he planned, though. Moody never voted to leave and Smog, who Mx convinced to vote that way, was the wagon because Moody gave his full roleclaim and Smog mumbled soemthing about potatoes and cast shade around.
Additional detail: the results Moody claimed lined up with my travel block results in a logical way.
Still, he did claim he could announce things to other islands KnightsofCydonia
Now back to talking about what it would take for Mx or I to be scum.
Let's talk out the logic required to follow this train of thought.
Me being scum requires two interconnected premises:
1) I wasn't actually the nightkill, even though Heal visited me as per his compulsive nk following ability and someone else saw him do it. This means that Heal was caught visiting his scumbuddy for reasons unknown and instead of saying he was something plausible like an OG or a Doc, he said I was supposed to die and he had nothing to do with that. Alternatively, it means that all three people in question are scum banking on theatrical bullshit.
2) I not only spent three days on an invested gambit campaign to bully a single player into getting mislynched, but I talked the rest of the scumteam into giving up two kills to back me up. Compare that to Animals where I got bussed instead of being able to talk you into a sacrifice play gambit.

A) Mx is not partnered with Viper and wasted two nightkills just to let one Townie tunnel another into oblivion.
B) Mx is partnered with Viper and let Viper continue to take heat and fake his way out of suspicion in the most dramatic way possible when he could have absolved the suspicion completely by taking on the N3 nightkill himself.
C) Alternatives of A and B where some other factors kept the nightkill from happening and scum have to rely on milking mislynches to get get the numbers game because they can't catch a break at night.

C could also apply to 2, but you'd still need to consider if the gambit is worth that amount of effort.
Just becuase the flavor implies we're surrounded by oceans doesn't mean we should all be playing this game as if our goal is to jump the shark.

Actually now that the blizzard has happened I think mxmts is pretty much guaranteed to be holding his townie card. He said he had a method communicating between islands, this blizzard is clearly it, he said he was going to do something cool to make sure everyone knew moody was scum, and he did it. Just having the blizzard power alone is enough to reliably call him a townie since it's a power that benefits town players and hurts neutrals and mafia. Really everything mxmts has said/done has panned out.

Former, what I was getting at there is that it's unlikely for either Mx or I to be scum because that would require overly complicated circumstances in most cases.
Like it doesn't make sense for scum!Mx to let scum!Viper continue to stew in a pressure cooker when a single shot should not only remove the most vocal opponent but also potentially debunk the reasoning behind that opponent's case. And it doesn't make sense for scum to maintain a gambit for three whole days of ineffectiveness.
Former Hope You seem to be skeptical about some things and willing to suspend disbelief about others.

We discussed the implications of his flip, but we saw no signs of either.
Also, tell me more about the thief? It might be Moody.
Moody said he tried to steal something from you but it failed. Looking through the timing, I saw it coincided with my travel block and I realized that Moody would've had to move from one island to another temporarily to make it happen, which explains why it was blocked and he ended up on my travel list.
