itt song lyrics that bother you

In the song Bad Things by Machine Gun Kelly ft Camila Cabello, one of the lyrics is as follows:
“I can’t explain it
I love the pain”

I keep wondering if he’s talking about giving or receiving it, and then I end up thinking he shot himself in the foot

Despite being one of my favorite bands of my teenage years (S.C.I.E.N.C.E. through Morning View), I'll be the first to admit that Incubus has some of the worst lyrics imaginable. Here are some choice examples:

Circles, off Morning View
"You saw me lost and treading water
I looked pathetic
I looked as helpless as a stinger without a bee
...
I saw you standing in my headlights (Blink, blink, blink)
I thought I'd run you down
For the weight you left on me
Instead I pushed rewind, reversed and drove away
And seeing you disappear in my rearview
Brought to me the word Reciprocity"

Wish You Were Here, off Morning View
"I lay my head onto the sand
The sky resembles a backlit canopy with holes punched in it"

When it Comes, off Make Yourself
"When it comes
It comes abrupt
And it feels, it feels like trading brains with an imbecile, for real "
...
When it comes
It comes unannounced
And it feels like a matador is taunting me
With his reddest red cloth and I am the bull"

There are so many examples within these songs alone, not to mention their entire catalog, that a full analysis of the cringe would take days. Brandon sings all of this with no sense of irony, because after S.C.I.E.N.C.E., they had almost completely lost their sense of humor. He's just full of pretentious analogies and finds any excuse to use random big words, no matter how awkward they sound being sung.

Muse is a lot more notorious for their bad lyrics. This is the only one you need.

Space Dementia, off Origin of Symmetry
"H8 is the one for me"

Yes, he pronounces it "haitch eight."
Yes, it's supposed to mean "height."
