How Aron Works
This section is for those who dont know
how aron is used and why it should.
Firstly, its amazing. A fear that can be re-used.
With Shell Bell and Sturdy, it can go back to 100%
health if it gets hit. However, it must be on 100% Hp.
This means no direct switch-ins, no multi-hit moves and
no hazards. So, why should you use him? Simple:
it lets the oponent with 1 or 12 HP. Most pokémons have around
300 HP, so it destroys a lot. If the pokémon is under a burn or toxic,
that pokémon is dead. Aron provides a big offensive pressure and
a great stop to settup sweepers such as Volcarona.
The Team
Aron @ Shell Bell
Ability: Sturdy
Level: 1
IVs: 0 Atk
Endeavor
Roar
Stealth Rock
Toxic
This is the standard Aron set.
Shell Bell, Sturdy, Endeavor and Lv1 is standard in
any aron. However, he have 3 support moves. Due to
Aron having a free turn on Sturdy, it can still suport the
team if needed. He can Roar away a tread, set Rocks and Toxic
something. Toxic is important so that he can finish off the pokémons
that arent steel type more easly.
Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
U-turn
Roost
Defog
Bullet Punch
There is no reason to do not use Scizor in an Aron team.
Survives well, thanks to typing and roost, can deal a good
damage output, and can support Aron a lot. Like, a lot. Defog
removes hazards to Aron came in safely, he also provides a slow
U-Turn to bring aron even more safely and Bullet Punch helps finishing
off what Aron started. Scizor brings Aron, aron weakens. Scizor kills.
Scizor migth be just defogging and killing weakened mons, but is
extremely important to the team.
Mantine @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 136 Def / 124 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
Roost
Scald
Toxic
Defog
Mantine gives us a special wall, making a defensive core with Scizor.
It is also great at supporting Aron: it can Burn and Toxic so that Aron wouldnt
need to leave the field for the enemy to die, and also Defog. Mantine, however
does have a x4 weakness to electric, and that's no good for him.
Shedinja @ Focus Sash
Ability: Wonder Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naughty Nature
Shadow Sneak
Will-O-Wisp
Secret Power
Protect
Shedinja is here for its ability to support aron
and to be supported by the rest of the team. Shedinja can
only work in a team that can easly remove the hazards from the field,
and Shedinja fits like a glove in this team. If aron weakeness a pokémon,
you can switch into shedinja and kill him with Shadow Sneak. Will-O-Wisp
helps in making the main defensive core take less damage from pysical attacks
and can help killing with Aron. Secret Power sounds strange, but its the only
non-contact pysical move in the game. This means that if the oponent has an
Iron Barbs/Rock Helmet pokémon on their teams, you can safely deal damage.
Protect is to see what moves they have. Focus Sash might look straing in a stall
team, but remember: Learn. If the focus sash is broken, then something went bad.
An unexpected coverage, a predict, or whatever. Learn from the experience. Dont
switch he again in that pokémon. When playing with Shedinja, knowledge is more
important than an item.
Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
Heal Bell
Soft-Boiled
Stealth Rock
Seismic Toss
Chansey. What to say about this guy?
Its a stable in any stall team. He realy helps the team.
Firstly, he can take care of special electric attacks that treaten
mantine. Secondly, he can set Rocks and give chip damage with Seismic Toss.
And finaly, there is Heal Bell. Ive already tryed many many things here:
Wish, Charm, even Sandstorm! Yes chansey learns sandstorm. Ive
decided to stop using sandstorm because it wasnt used very often and it could
only support Aron. I am using Heal Bell now, but any help here would be apreciated.
Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 24 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Hidden Power [Ice]
U-turn
Landorus Landorus Landorus. What to say?
Stealth Rock because its competitive, Eartquake as stab,
HP Ice to hit other landorus, and U-Turn as a pivot.
What can I even say? He dosnt look like he add much, and, well,
yea. But his damage output realy makes it a good member in the
late game. Its usefull.
After Reading
Is this stall or balanced?!
This is a trick question. It have a great damage output,
but plays very defensively. It dosnt rely on chip damage, but use bulky
mons and defensive cores. I call this the Aron Playstyle, but its just my opinion.
Its very different from anyother playstyle, so it would be fair to be its own playstyle.
What the future holds for Aron?
In my opinion, there is a bright future for Aron in USUM.
If the leaks are correct, and a lot of things will get Defog, then
Aron will became easly viable. With much less rocks, it would be easy
to keep the field clean. Ladorus-T could also be replaced with Gliscor,
that will get defog, or change HP Ice to Defog, that he too will learn.
However, USUM havent launched, so we dont know how he will be.
Just expect to see him more.
Conclusion
I dont see this team as perfect. Far from that.
However, I see this team as one of those teams that kick off a
pokémon, that makes people use the pokémon, making him go up.
However, here its with an entire playstle. I am not good at teambuilding.
However, I wanted to share Aron. This team might look like and also might be trash,
but its an important step for the playstyle. Aron Playstly was always a joke in OU,
but im sure: if a good player, one of those with badges below his name, make a
team with Aron, there will be metagame shifts. This guy has potential. Checking
Volcarona, Magerana and Landorus-T. Some of the biggest pokémons in the tier.
He has potential. Test this team, rate this team, but make sure that we
are learning. Its after many teams, many rates, that we will discover
how to "trully" use aron. In the start, Ive used him with sandstorm.
After some rates & some teams, I noticed it can be used withouth
sandstorm. So the playstye evolved. I might be the only one using it,
but write my words: one day, one day, he will became relevant.
Give him a try, make a team, make a RMT. Maybe you could be
the one who convinces eveyone that he is viable. Just, do it.
Thanks.

important than an item.

Thanks.
