[SET COMMENTS]
Jellicent's excellent defensive typing along with access to utility moves such as Taunt and Will-O-Wisp makes it a good defensive Pokemon, checking threats such as Swords Dance Lucario, Cobalion, and Golisopod. Water Absorb further assists Jellicent with checking Water-types such as Inteleon. Scald is an option over Hex to threaten Incineroar, but Jellicent will have a harder time beating bulkier Pokemon such as Milotic. Will-O-Wisp prevents Jellicent from being vulnerable to physical attackers such as Escavalier. Taunt prevents slower Pokemon such as Vaporeon from recovering freely, allowing Jellicent to break them with Hex. The Speed EVs provided allow Jellicent to outspeed uninvested Mantine. Colbur Berry is an alternate option for an item to reduce Knock Off damage while also assisting against Pokemon such as Drapion and Machamp, allowing Jellicent to get off a Will-O-Wisp against the former and a Hex on the latter.
Incineroar is a great partner, as it can check Pokemon such as Celebi and Chandelure that threaten Jellicent while bringing it in via Parting Shot against Water-types and Galarian Weezing. In exchange, Jellicent can wear down bulky Water-types. If Jellicent is not running Colbur Berry, Dark-type checks such as Cobalion and Galarian Weezing are helpful for their ability to switch into Knock Off. Jellicent is vulnerable to Doublade and Chandelure, as, unlike other bulky Water-types, it cannot reliably switch into them. Due to this, teammates such as Umbreon, Gigalith, and Incineroar are vital. Gigalith can also check Taunt Noivern. Heliolisk is extremely annoying for Jellicent, as it is immune to Hex and doesn't mind being burned by Will-O-Wisp. Due to this, partners that can deal with Heliolisk are essential. Flygon can check Heliolisk and Haxorus while bringing Jellicent in against Water-types, while Noivern can threaten Heliolisk out, checks Grass-types, and appreciates Jellicent wearing down bulky Water-types, Gigalith, and Rhyperior. Escavalier checks Celebi and Roserade and appreciates Water-types being worn down.
