Jirachi event coming to Gamestop locations

BTW, to any Brazilians out there - we'll have this event here too.

You could go check ahead today since they turned all DS that sends Jirachi through wireless has been activated yesterday.
What I meant is that Brazil will also have a distribution; it's not going to be on Gamestop, but it's official, as it's Latamel who's holding this event. I won't post the poster in Portuguese as no Brazilian has appeared here yet, but once they do, I might so.

Well, I just got my edition, though I'm not rnging because I don't personally like it, though I'm soft resetting until I get a good nature and IVs.
Edit:Probably going to make mine a Dual Screen Jirachi. Unfortunately, all my natures so far have been -Def or -SpDef. -_-
Edit2:What's worse is that it comes at level 5, making it impossible to get accurate IVs from a calculator, I suppose I'll just get a good nature.
Edit3:...Blast, my Jirachi does not have good defensive IVs, ah well, I guess I'll have to make do with it.

If you use Metalkid's calculator, you can get quite precise figures pretty quickly. Maybe not exact, but to the nearest 2 or 3. It helps to know your hidden power type.
Once you get the one you want you'll inevitably have wasted Rare Candies on it, but they can be had by Pickup anyway.

I don't understand RNGing for event Pokemon. When I tried the seed to time function in RNG, I got back a lot of times with a delay of 600, which AFAIK is impossible to hit. Anybody know more?
^ learn how to RNG wild catches first. For Wondercards, at least in Platinum (where all the marts have NPCs) you can't check your seed, you have to do the journal flips asap and then hope that you landed on your seed by checking the stats. It's a pain but it's better than just plain SR, not to mention that the result is even better
20 is the speed? Why do people put the speed in the middle :-(
These things are a matter of opinion. Most Jirachi sets don't run max speed. 11 IVs equals 44 EVs, which you can put extra into speed to make up for the lower IV. (You'll thus be hitting the usual speed, but weaker in some other stat). So I'd consider keep, depending on your patience. Jolly does mean you're unlikely to want to use DM.

I don't know, I hate it too, but I was copying from my DS. I'm using a check IV's cheat and it lists it in the middle.
I guess I'll keep it. SRing is getting boring.
Ok, just came from GameStop and I must say I wish it was TRU. I was trying to get a signal from the outside and nothing. So I went inside and pull out my DS and still nothing. I asked the guy about the event, maybe that shitty store didn't have it but he answered me that I needed to reserve a copy of either HG or SS for me to DL Jirachi. WTF? Is this true? I didn't feel like going to another GameStop store just to check on this but 5$ later, I finally downloaded the card for my 3 games. Oh, the guy didn't appreciate me having 3 games btw.
