Jirachi event coming to Gamestop locations

That's really lame. The GameStop I went to just has the thing turned on 24/7. I work at the mall so on my way to work, over an hour before the mall opened, I downloaded it from about 30 feet from the entrance of the store.

Lol you got ripped off... there's no need to preorder it.

Could somebody please discuss the usefulness of DM Jirachi in OU? it hits only kingdra and latias harder than ice punch does (and mence when at -1 atk from intimidate) but is a pretty powerful move nonetheless... so is it worth it to keep? Or should we just go with a lead or CM set?

What about playing with EVs and using Draco Meteor in place of U-Turn on LeadRachi for just a move to forfeit switching ability w hitting harder whatever comes in?
Also, its base is 140 while Psychic gets 135 w/STAB so it could be used as an alternative to Psychic on mixed sets I guess?

Idk just wishful thinking on my part to somehow use the special move it's given lol.
 
I've got two Jirachis and I'm having a hard time doing this RNG thing for wonder cards, does anyone live in Long Beach or SoCal that knows how to do this thing? I don't want to put this two Jirachis to waste.
 
Just regular pokedex. I got two Jolly ones and an Adamant one. I had no issues downloading either, though I was in the store.

Also, I got three of the TRU Arceus as well, i believe all of them Adamant. I am debating opening up a trade thread but either way, for those of you without access to the event(s)...I can clone and am happy to trade and whatnot. Just depends on timing.

You would be best off using it on an Uber Scarf set, using jirachi as a revenge killer.
In OU you would be using it on a specs set (instead of HP ice if you cannot get it.) It's not terribly useful but it can be pulled off(not to mention it has a cool factor of 9999). Unstabbed DM is not terribly powerful unless it is super effective.
 
Pre ordered Soul Silver and got my Jirachi.
But the best part was the super cute girl at the register that explained to me why Ho-Oh is so good in Ubers, despite 4x Stealth Rock weakness.

anyhoo, glad only need regular pokedex, don't feel like grabbbing infernape gengar and gyrados and raping through the whole game in 12 hours

I actually plan to do this so that i can preserve my starters in HG/SS for much more devious purposes.

If your as cranky about this as I would be you can certainly go higher than some random jackass working the counter. Its suppose to be a free give away not for pre-order customers.

this SRing is getting me pissed off ._.i for some strange reason, i managed to get a modest one (with crappy IVs i think) and i saved it -.-
i still have 2 others to reset, but im not sure which nature i should try to get

I had to reserve it to, maybe some stores added that. I wanted HG/SS anyway XP.
 
Haha, they can't "add it". It's supposed to be free. If you don't want to pre-order the game (maybe between DPPt you've had your fill of gen4) you can just cancel your pre-order after you download Jirachi.
 
I wish you could get more than one per cartridge.

Anyways I settled on a timid Jirachi (would have taken jolly if it had come up first while I rng'd)
I plan to use the little guy on my playthrough of HG and SS and when I'm done I'll wipe its evs with berries and then properly ev train it.

Nah, you don't have to have preordered it...how would that even make sense? They couldn't just turn off their wifi until you bought something from them. It's if you have any of the DPPt games-no purchase necessary.
Then again, I do know a guy who works there, and I preordered, so I may be wrong, but I doubt it.
Oh, if it hasn't been said, the nature is random. I got a jolly and gentle...anyone know if shinies are possible? It also says one Jirachi per game, but what if I restart my game and go to a different location? Same rules?
