Azumarill is one of the most potent wallbreakers and setup sweepers in the Monotype metagame, being able to wreak havoc against any team that isn't prepared for it. However, it has reliable checks on various types in the form of Mega Venusaur and Mantine. Mega Venusaur is especially noteworthy, as Fairy-type teams as a whole struggle with it. This has led to the rise of Jolly Azumarill, a set that is able to steamroll Poison teams, taking down Mega Venusaur and Toxapex with Return after Stealth Rock damage while everything else drops to Aqua Jet. Aside from Poison, it is useful in other matchups as well. It outspeeds and OHKOes Haze Mantine, since they usually only outspeed Adamant Azumarill. Klefki is its most common teammate, as it can set up screens and make it easier for Azumarill to set up as well as set up Spikes to break any potential Focus Sashes. Mega Diancie is also notable for preventing hazard spam and can even set up Stealth Rock of its own to allow Azumarill to break Mega Venusaur.

Here is a replay that shows Jolly Azumarill in action, where outspeeding Mega Venusaur lets it change the tide of the battle: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7monotype-762214972

First thing: focus much, much more on Poison. The reason this set exists is like 90% to kill Poison. This needs to be really emphasized.

Second: this set is only really relevant thing on Fairy. Water can just use Sap Sipper + Perish Song Azumarill to handle Mega Venusaur, so no one really uses this set on Water.

Tag me when you fix this up

Azumarill is one of the most potent wallbreakers and set-up sweepers in the Monotype metagame, being able to wreak havoc against any team that isn't prepared for it. However, it has reliable checks on various types in the form of Mega Venusaur, Mantine, Seismitoad, and Mega Scizor. Mega Venusaur is especially noteworthy as it is something that Fairy-type teams as a whole struggle with. This has led to the rise of Jolly Azumarill, a set which is capable of plowing through teams that rely on more standard means to check it. It most notably greatly eases the Poison matchup for Fairy teams, being able to plow through standard Poison builds. After setting up on either Crobat, Nidoking, or even Toxapex (albeit a bit risky), Jolly Azumarill is able to steamroll Poison teams since Mega Venusaur and Toxapex is taken down with Frustration after Stealth Rock damage while everything else drops to Aqua Jet. Aside from the Poison matchup, it is useful in other matchups as well. It outspeeds and OHKOs Haze Mantine and Sludge Wave Seismitoad and 2HKOs Mega Scizor after Stealth Rock damage, since they all usually only run enough Speed to outspeed Adamant Azumarill. Klefki is its most common teammate, as it can set up screens and make it easier for Azumarill to set up, while also setting up Spikes to break any potential Focus Sashes. Another notable teammate is Tapu Bulu, which is able to provide Azumarill with a form of passive recovery in Grassy Terrain, letting it keep up its health after a Belly Drum. Mega Diancie is also notable for preventing hazard spam, giving Azumarill room to set up, and can even set up Stealth Rocks of its own to allow Azumarill to break Mega Venusaur.

not sure if the same standards re. return / frustration are enforced here as in c&c ("choice is 100% subjective, so always use Return for simplicity"), if so adjust pls
