Now the proud owner of a big, smelly Snorlax, Tybalt struts his stuff further south down Route 12. He's sporting the most impressive roster he has had since beginning this miserable journey, but danger lurks around every corner, and within every patch of grass. Beware...!
With not a single moment to recover our health, we press on, unimpeded. Poot and Monster seem worse for wear, but Dougs the sinister Dugtrio may be up to the task. Can he carry the team largely by himself?

Leaving the Safari Zone with little more than a dirty old Parasect, Tybalt heads to the Fuchsia City gym to take his anger out on all of the poison-type trainers there. At least, that was his plan, except there appears to be absolutely no poison-type trainers in this particular gym whatosever.

P.S. A little tip that saves... so much time.
If you Surf downwards from Pallet Town, you will end up at Cinnabar Island, and you can skip the Seafoam Islands (or at least work backwards for Articuno), once you surf from Cinnabar Island to Seafoam.
It saved me so much time!
Thank you so much, dude. It has always felt a little bit like shouting into the void, so I am so incredibly appreciative of hearing something back every now and then. I just may take you up on the Cinnabar shortcut! If nothing else, it gives me an opportunity to nab some extra 'mons and XP early before hunting for Articuno. :D
The Cycling Road is a fun and healthy way to move quickly across the Kanto plains. Most people attest to how enjoyable it is to whiz down its steep slope at a fantastic pace, though far fewer seem to boast about going uphill. There's a reason. Here is the reason.

If you ever trade to Gen 2, trade your Seaking with Waterfall. I used that trick so I wouldn’t need the HM Waterfall, and it was a great shortcut for that as well.

We continue slowly, painfully, uphill on Cycling Road, duelling with more bikers and cueballs along the way. Their specialty is in poison and fighting Pokemon, and their hefty offensive output is enough to have us feeling troubled...

After what feels like years but is canonically probably only a week, Tybalt arrives at Kanto's mecca, Saffron City. He'd sure like to take in all of the wonderful sights and sounds, however there's trouble afoot - Team Rocket have invaded Silph Co!! They're all about drug, crimes and slime, but they're about to meet their match!

The ongoing war with Team Rocket rages on, as Tybalt tries desperately to navigate his way around Silph Co. With each battle he undertakes, his party edges closer to doom. Can they pull through, or has evil finally triumphed over... well, Tybalt isn't so much good, but the lesser of two evils.
What's this? Is this still a thing?? Well I guess we'll do what we can with the petty material we're given... Apparently Tybalt has been spending the last few months at Silph Co., figuring out a way to overthrow the villainous Rockets.

Now that Saffron City has had its crime rate reduced by roughly 86%, Tybalt can get back to his true calling: getting badges and thumping innocent trainers! First, he'll bring his fury into the Fighting Dojo, before taking on the main course, the Saffron Gym. Delicious!

Tybalt continues laying waste to the Cinnabar Gym, each fallen trainer bringing him one step closer to the eccentric quiz master, Blaine. The level gap between our heroes and the enemies he faces is getting bigger and bigger, however. Should we be concerned? Or will it all turn out fine in the end?

Is it just me, or has this game suddenly become a lot harder since I chose to actually battle trainers instead of dodging them with aplomb? In any event, we trek deeper into Victory Road, which is curiously populated by a host of Jugglers. Are you telling me they somehow collected all eight badges, too?!
