1v1 Kartana ( GP 2 / 2 ) (DONE)

[OVERVIEW]

Kartana has a huge Attack stat, a good Speed stat, and decent physical bulk, allowing it to outspeed common Pokemon in the 1v1 metagame like Mega Gyarados, Mega Tyranitar, and Tapu Lele and hit them hard. It has access to setup moves like Iron Defense and Swords Dance, which work with its high Speed to take out Pokemon like Mega Metagross and Zygarde-C. Despite this, Kartana is weak to Fire and Fighting, meaning frequently used Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Lopunny can easily counter it. It has horrific special bulk and is easily OHKOed by even resisted attacks from some of the most common special attackers in the metagame, such as Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Kommo-o, Magnezone, and Meloetta. It also finds itself outclassed by bulkier Steel-types like Magearna and Mega Metagross.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Leaf Blade allows Kartana to hit Water-, Rock-, and Ground-type Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Mega Slowbro, Mega Tyranitar, and Mega Swampert super effectively while heavily damaging Pokemon like Hoopa-U. Smart Strike hits Ice-, Rock-, and Fairy-type Pokemon like Alolan Ninetales, Nihilego, and Tapu Lele. Sacred Sword can be used against bulky Normal-types and some Steel-types like Chansey, Heatran, and Excadrill. However, this is not the most effective way to deal with Chansey and Heatran, since Chansey can tank a Sacred Sword and return with Counter, while Heatran sometimes has enough bulk to survive a Sacred Sword and KO Kartana with a Fire-type STAB move. Giga Impact is the hardest-hitting neutrally damaging move, giving Kartana a good chance to KO many defensively uninvested Mega Charizard, Garchomp, and Mega Pinsir.

Set Details
========

48 HP EVs allow Kartana to survive two Sucker Punches from maximum Attack Mega Mawile. 252 Speed EVs along with a Jolly nature help it to outspeed maximum Speed non-Choice Scarf Terrakion and Keldeo. The remaining Attack EVs and Choice Band maximize Kartana's damage output.

Usage Tips
========

Send Kartana against slower foes like Garchomp and Mega Pinsir, since it can KO them with Giga Impact. If it's a choice between Leaf Blade and Giga Impact, use Giga Impact unless you are sure that Leaf Blade will KO, since Giga Impact does more damage than STAB-boosted Leaf Blade. Avoid sending in Kartana on faster special attackers like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Necrozma, Magnezone, and Naganadel. Also, don’t use Kartana against Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan, Aggron, and Magnezone, since they can use Counter, Metal Burst, or a Z-Move to finish it off.

Team Options
========

Since Fire-types and special attackers like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Greninja, Porygon-Z, Magearna, and Magnezone beat Kartana, a specially defensive Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Primarina, Tapu Fini, or Chansey can be used as a teammate. In return, Kartana can help defeat common Mega Charizard X counters like Mega Gyarados, Primarina and Tapu Fini counters like Nihilego, and common Taunt users that usually give Chansey trouble like Mega Gyarados and Tapu Lele. Choice Specs Necrozma is also a good option, since it beats Donphan, Golem, some Fire-type Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, and Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Blaziken and Mega Lopunny, while Kartana can help Necrozma with Mega Gyarados, Mega Charizard Y, Tapu Lele, and Mega Gardevoir. Pokemon like Dragonite have trouble against physical threats that Kartana deals with.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Iron Defense is used to boost Kartana’s already-high Defense stat, which makes it easier for it to tank strong physical attacks like Landorus-T's Tectonic Rage. Synthesis helps in recovering the damage incurred while setting up Iron Defense and can be used to set up on Mega Metagross, Zygarde-C, and Landorus-T. Leaf Blade lets Kartana KO Water-, Ground-, and Rock-types like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, Tapu Fini, and Mega Tyranitar, and its high critical hit ratio helps in checking physical setup Pokemon like Coil Zygarde. While Substitute prevents Donphan and Golem from hitting Counter, Swords Dance lets Kartana set up on Zygarde and Mega Metagross after setting up Iron Defense.

Set Details
========

224 Speed EVs let Kartana outspeed maximum Speed non-Choice Scarf Landorus-T, letting it set up first with Iron Defense. The 144 HP EVs along with 56 Defense EVs and an Impish nature ensure that Kartana can always use Synthesis after Iron Defense against Adamant Mega Metagross without having to worry about Hammer Arm and Bullet Punch. The remaining EVs are given to Attack to increase Kartana's chance of beating many prevalent physically defensive threats like Mega Metagross, Landorus-T, and Zygarde-C. Grassium Z turns Leaf Blade into a powerful STAB-boosted Bloom Doom, which can even KO neutral physically bulky Pokemon like Mega Sableye and Toxapex when boosted.

Usage Tips
========

Against most physical attackers like Mega Metagross, Zygarde-C, and Landorus-T, start off by using Iron Defense and healing the damage taken with Synthesis. After fully setting up with Iron Defense, start using either Swords Dance or Substitute. Finish off by using Bloom Doom followed by Leaf Blade if the foe is still standing. Avoid sending in Kartana on faster special attackers like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Naganadel, and Blacephalon.

Team Options
========

Offensive Rock-type Pokemon like Mega Tyranitar and Choice Band Archeops are the best partners for Kartana, taking care of Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Dragonite, and Heatran, and luring Mega Gyarados, Landorus-T, Zygarde-C, and Mega Metagross for Kartana to finish. Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Sawk, Mega Heracross, and Mega Blaziken counter Kartana; Pokemon like Tapu Fini and Primarina with appropriate Defense investment have an advantage over these Pokemon and hence make for good partners. Since Kartana has poor Special Defense, some specially bulky Pokemon like Chansey and Nihilego can be used as teammates. Both of these Pokemon appreciate Kartana's physical bulk.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A spread with 128 HP and 252 Special Defense EVs along with a Careful nature allows Kartana to tank Adaptability Choice Scarf Porygon-Z's Hyper Beam and Choice Specs Protean Greninja's Ice Beam. However, such a spread causes Kartana to lose out on other matchups like Landorus-T, and both Greninja and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z usually run Hidden Power Fire. An Adamant Choice Scarf set can be used to take out Greninja, Mega Lopunny, and Naganadel but loses out on the firepower provided by other sets. Kartana can also run an all-out attacker set with Leaf Blade, Sacred Sword, Smart Strike, and Swords Dance or Substitute in the last moveslot, along with a spread of 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe, a Jolly nature, and Grassium Z. In addition to having more coverage, such a set has more firepower to KO Pokemon like bulky Normalium Z Porygon-Z. Kartana can also make use of a Swords Dance / Substitute / Smart Strike / Laser Focus set with a spread of 112 Atk / 148 SpD / 248 Spe along with a Jolly nature and Steelium Z to counter Iron Defense Magearna and non-Hidden Power Fire Mega Venusaur. However, this misses out on the higher damage output of Kartana's other sets, and fails to beat common Water-type Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, and Tapu Fini.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire**: Pokemon with a Fire typing or Fire-type attacks like bulky Mega Charizard X, bulky Mega Charizard Y, Mega Camerupt, Necrozma, Genesect, and Kommo-o can easily take out Kartana if they survive its attacks.

**Special Attackers**: Unless a lot of special bulk is invested into Kartana, prominent special attackers like Porygon-Z, Magearna, Magnezone, Greninja, Naganadel, and Dragonite and even weaker ones like Togekiss and Shell Smash Carracosta can KO it.

**Fighting-type Pokemon**: Prominent Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Mega Blaziken, Mega Heracross, and Sawk have the upper hand against Kartana due to their ability to super effectively hit it while either tanking its attacks or outspeeding it.

**Sturdy Pokemon**: Unless Kartana has Substitute, Pokemon with the Sturdy ability like Donphan, Golem, Magnezone, Crustle, and Sawk easily KO it with Counter, a super effective move, or a strong Z-Move. However, Substitute Kartana can circumvent Donphan's and Golem's Counter.

Kartana is a decent Pokemon; with a huge Attack stat, and decent physical bulk to compliment it, it can be used to counter common occurrences in the 1v1 metagame like Mega Gyarados, Donphan and Golem. It has access to some setup moves like Iron Defense and Swords Dance which, in conjunction with its Base Speed, helps it in taking out Pokemon like Mega Metagross, and Zygarde-C. It has horrific special bulk, which makes it lose to most of the special coverage moves like Hidden Power Fire and Hidden Power Fighting, or even not very effective special attacks like an Electric Z-Move from Magnezone, unless specifically invested for it.
- You should say in conjunction to its high base Speed.
- Also say that its high Attack, choice of item, and setup moves make up for it low BP moves.
- Talk about its 4x Fire weakness.
- Other than the weaknesses, say that almost everything that outspeeds it like Archeops, Mega Luke, Porygon-Z, Greninja, Mega Lop, scarfers beat it.
- Give examples of the Pokemon that use HP Fire and Fighting.

Iron Defense is used to boost Kartana’s already high Defence stat, which makes it easier to tank physical Z-Moves like max Attack Donphan’s Tectonic Rage or Mega Heracross’ Close Combat. Synthesis helps in recovering the damage incurred while setting up an Iron Defense, and in conjunction with Iron Defense can be used to set up on a Mega Metagross, Sawk, or Crustle. This can also be used against the infamous Curse Mimikyu set. This slot can also have Substitute to make use of the wallbreaking capabilities of Substitute in conjunction with Swords Dance, though Synthesis helps in healing off damage incurred from Pokemon like Mega Metagross, Landorus- and Donphan. The third move slot is a choice between Swords Dance and Substitute. While Substitute helps in countering Donphan and Golem from clicking Counter, and to tank a possible critical hit, Swords Dance helps in setting up on a Zygarde, or Metagross Mega after setting up Iron Defence against them. Leaf Blade is the best STAB move Kartana gets, and it lets Kartana KO Water-types, Ground-types, and Rock types like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, Tapu Fini, Donphan, Mega Tyranitar, and its high critical hit ratio helps it in checking physical setup Pokemon like Coil Zygarde, Bulk Up Landorus-T or Curse Snorlax.

Grassium Z is the held item, since it boosts Leaf Blade to a 175 Base Power STAB Bloom Doom.

Usage Tips
========

Against most physical attackers like Mega Metagross, Donphan, and Landorus-T, start off by using Iron Defense and by healing off the damage taken by using Synthesis. After fully setting up Iron Defense, start using either Swords Dance or Substitute depending on what you have. If you don't have Synthesis, use Substitute in the first two turns, followed by Swords Dance. In both cases, finish off by using Bloom Doom after setting up. Avoid sending in Kartana on faster special attacker like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Naganadel, Blacephalon etc.

Team Options
========

Choice Band Archeops is singularly the best partner for Kartana, which takes care of Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Dragonite, Heatran, Necrozma, and Kommo-o, and lures Mega Gyarados, Landorus-T, Mega Metagross and Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan and Golem for Kartana to finish. Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Sawk, Mega Heracross, and Mega Blaziken counters Kartana, so Pokemon like Mimikyu or Primarina, which has an advantage over these Pokemon can be used. Since Kartana is specially weak, some specially bulky Pokemon like Chansey or Nihilego can be used as a teammate. In turn, both these Pokemon appreciate Kartana's physical bulk.
- Say outspeed Landorus-T instead.
- No EVs are given to Def only the nature is there, say Atk to maximise its firepower.
- Don't use etc. since you have already mention Pokemon like x, y, z.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A very huge amount of Special Defence invested allows it to tank Adaptability Chocie Scarf Porygon-Z Hyper Beam, and Gigavolt Havoc Magnezone . But this loses out on other matchups. Choice Scarf can be used to take out Greninja, Mega Lopunny and Naganadel, but it loses out on the firepower facilitated by its other sets.
- Add in specific things here, say how much SpD to tank a Porygon-Z.
- Give an example of one or two matchups which Kartana would lose by running these sets.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-type Pokemon and Fire-type attacks**: Fire-type Pokemon and attacks easily finish off Kartana, so Pokemon with Fire-typing or Fire-type attacks, like Mega Charizards, Mega Camerupt, Necrozma, Genesect, Kommo-O, etc. can take out Kartana.

**Fighting-type Pokemon**: The prominent Fighting-type Pokemon in the 1v1 metagame like Mega Lopunny, Mega Blaziken, Mega Heracross, and Sawk all have the upper hand vs Kartana due to their ability to supereffectively hit Kartana while either tanking their attacks or outspeeding it.

**Sturdy Pokemon**: Unless Kartana has Substitute as one of its moves, Pokemon with the Sturdy ability like Donphan, Golem, Magnezone, Crustle, and Sawk gain the upper hand against Kartana due to their access to the move Counter, being super-effective, or straight up finishing Kartana with a strong ZMove.

**Special Attackers**: Unless a lot of special bulk is invested into Kartana, prominent special attackers like Porygon-Z, Magearna, Magnezone, Greninja, Naganadel,and Dragonite, and even average special attackers like Togekiss and Shell Smashed Carracosta can finish off Kartana.
- Fire types can finish easily why? Due to the 4x weakness.
- Add in Pokemon like Mega Aggron.
- Add in the mons which outspeed it almost always defeat it.

QC after implementation

Implemented everything else except these
- Other than the weaknesses, say that almost everything that outspeeds it like Archeops, Mega Luke, Porygon-Z, Greninja, Mega Lop, scarfers beat it.
Archeops wins only if it has Heat Wave, Porygon-Z, and Greninja which all falls under the special attacker category, MLop added, MLuc not a relevant enough Pokemon to squeeze in anywhere, and only special Scarf users or super effective physical Scarf users can beat it, the former of which would fall under bad special bulk and the latter of which would fall under the "super effective" band.

- Elaborate on the Team Options and give more of team options.
Can't think of any Other Options apart from the ones added. Plz help..

- Add in the mons which outspeed it almost always defeat it.

Moves
========

Leaf Blade is Kartana’s strongest Grass-type STAB move, allowing it to hit Water, Rock and Ground-type Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Mega Slowbro, Golem and Donphan super effectively, and also for neutral damage on Pokemon like Hoopa. Do you mean Hoopa-U? It also has a high critical hit ratio which could help it take out Pokemon like Landorus-Therian and Umbreon which decreases your Attack stat with Intimidate and Z-Charm respectively. Smart Strike is Kartana’s Steel-type STAB move, allowing it to hit Ice, Rock and Fairy-type Pokemon like Ninetales-Alola, Nihilego, Tapu Lele, and Mimikyu. Aerial Ace or Night Slash can be used in this slot over Smart Strike, with Aerial Ace to counter Fighting type Pokemon like Mega Heracross and Buzzwole, while Night Slash can be used to deal with slow Ghost types like Alolan Marowak. Night Slash doesn't OHKO max hp or more Marowak-A. Maybe find another Pokemon; if you can't then I wouldn't include Night Slash. Sacred Sword is used to get have a better chance to beat bulky Normal-type and some Steel-type Pokemon like Snorlax, Chansey, Heatran and Excadrill. Giga Impact is the fourth move slot to give Kartana the edge over many uninvested Mega Charizards and Mega Pinsir.

Set Details
========

The 8 HP EVs allow it to survive two Sucker Punch from max Attack Mega Mawile. The 252 Speed EVs along with a Jolly nature helps it to outspeed max speed Terrakion. The remaining EVs are invested into Attack and the held item given as Choice Band to maximize damage output.

Usage Tips
========

Avoid sending in Kartana on faster special attackers like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Naganadel, etc. Also, don’t send Kartana in on Sturdy Pokemon give examples of Pokemon since they can click Counter, Metal Burst, or finish you off with a Z-Move and corresponding Z-Move not trying to be petty, but you used "-" when you mentioned Z-Moves above, so keep it consistent.

Team Options
========

Since Fire-types and special attackers like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Porygon-Z, Magearna, Magnezone beat Kartana, specially defensive Mega Charizard X or Chansey can be used as a teammate with Kartana. In turn, Kartana can help defeat common Mega Charizard X counters like Mega Gyarados, and common Taunters like Mega Gyarados and Tapu Lele for Chansey. Primarina or Tapu Fini can also be used as a teammate for Kartana, since Kartana can lure in Fighting-type and Fire-type Pokemon for Primarina to KO. and Kartana beats Nihilego, Chansey and Blissey, all common counters to Primarina and Tapu Fini. Choice Specs Necrozma is also a good teammate option, since it beats Donphan, Golem, some Fire-type Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Blaziken, Mega Lopunny, and others, while Kartana can help Necrozma with Mega Gyarados, Mega Charizard Y, Mega Venusaur, Mega Venusaur?? [OVERVIEW]

Kartana has a huge Attack stat, and decent physical bulk to compliment it, it can be used to counter common occurrences Pokemon in the 1v1 metagame like Mega Gyarados, Donphan and Golem The last two are not reliably beaten by Choice Band Kartana (Golem/Donphan can Counter or Z into priority), which is one of the sets you have given. Since this is the overview and you did not specify which set you were referring to, switch to safer choices beaten by both sets. It has access to some setup moves like Iron Defense and Swords Dance which, in conjunction with its high base Speed, helps it in taking out Pokemon like Mega Metagross, and Zygarde-C. Kartana has high base Attack, the ability to run a Choice Band or a Z-Move , and setup moves, which make up for it low base power moves. You've already stated this in your first and second sentences Kartana is weak to Fire- and Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Lopunny, which severely limits its usage. It has horrific special bulk, which makes it lose to most of the special coverage moves like Hidden Power Fire from users like Meloetta and Mega Venusaur, or even not very effective special attacks like an Electric Z-Move from Magnezone, unless specifically invested for it. Awkwardly worded and somewhat innacurate (Meloetta doesn't need to use HP Fire, she can just Breakneck Blitz). It could be more accurate to say something like "...and will easily be OHKOed by some of the most common Special Attackers in the metagame, such as *insert common special attackers*, even if Kartana resists the attack..."

Don't include them here if you're going to contradict yourself later super effectively, and also for neutral damage on Pokemon like Hoopa-U. It also has a high critical hit ratio which could help it take out Pokemon like Landorus-Therian and Umbreon which decreases your Attack stat with Intimidate and Z-Charm respectively. Since this isn't a guaranteed or reliable answer to either, or even a 50/50, I don't think this detail is relevant. Smart Strike is Kartana’s Steel-type STAB move, allowing it to hit Ice-, Rock-, and Fairy-type Pokemon like Ninetales-Alola, Nihilego, Tapu Lele, and Mimikyu. Aerial Ace can also be used in this slot,with Aerial Ace to counter Fighting type Pokemon like Mega Heracross and Buzzwole Aerial Ace is not a reliable Buzzwole answer, most sets run enough bulk to make this not guaranteed. Also, if Mega Heracross is the only reason to run Aerial Ace, just move it to Other Options. If it isn't, list the other Mons Aerial Ace beats. Sacred Sword is used to get a better chance against bulky Normal-type and some Steel-type Pokemon like Chansey, Heatran and Excadrill. describe the specifics of why it is uncertain, something like "Sacred Sword can beat certain variants of Pokemon such as (list Pokemon), but will lose to sets such as Bulky Heatran or Counter Chansey" Giga Impact is the fourth move slot to give Kartana the edge over many uninvested Mega Charizards and Mega Pinsir. Where is Night Slash? It's mentioned in Set but not Set Comments. Either add it here or remove it there

The 8 HP EVs allow it to survive two Sucker Punch from maximum Attack Mega Mawile. 252+ Atk Huge Power Mawile-Mega Sucker Punch vs. 8 HP / 0 Def Kartana: 114-135 (43.6 - 51.7%) -- 10.5% chance to 2HKO. Take this out and put the EVs back into Attack or specify a different thing it needs 8 HP EVs for. The 252 Speed EVs along with a Jolly nature helps it to outspeed maximum Speed Non-Choice Scarf Terrakion and Keldeo Both are relevant in 1v1. The remaining EVs are invested into Attack and the held item given as Choice Band to maximize damage output.

Usage Tips
========

Avoid sending in Kartana on faster special attackers like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Naganadel, etc. Etc is lazy, replace it with a 3rd mon or just say "And Naganadel" if those are the only two faster special attackers of note Also, don’t send Kartana in on against Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan, Aggron and Magnezone, since they can click Counter, Metal Burst, or finish you off with a corresponding Z-Move. Detail exactly who or what you should send Kartana in against. Definitely more could be added here in terms of positive matchups and how to use it to win said matchups.

Team Options
========

Since Fire-types and special attackers like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Porygon-Z, Magearna, and Magnezone beat Kartana, specially defensive Mega Charizard X or Chansey can be used as a teammate with Kartana. In turn, Kartana can help defeat common Mega Charizard X counters like Mega Gyarados, and common Taunters that usually give Chansey trouble like Mega Gyarados and Tapu Lele for Chansey. This change makes it clearer that Chansey is not a common taunter. Primarina or Tapu Fini can also be used as a teammate for Kartana, since Kartana can lure in Fighting-type and Fire-type Pokemon for Primarina or Tapu Fini to KO. Kartana beats Nihilego, Chansey and Blissey half of Chansey's carry Counter. and it only OHKOes Max Def Blissey 75% of the time, so if that's carrying Counter or Fire Coverage, it can beat Kart as well, all common counters to Primarina and Tapu Fini. Choice Specs Necrozma is also a good teammate option, since it beats Donphan, Golem, some Fire-type Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Blaziken, and Mega Lopunny, and others, while Kartana can help Necrozma with Mega Gyarados, Mega Charizard Y Bulky Char Y is common/viable, I would get rid of it or replace it with something more guaranteed, Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir.

In general, I noticed a lot of times where you fed very specific Pokemon for people to use with Kartana. A more encompassing approach would be stating what type of role would compliment a Pokemon like Kartana, like saying "Kartana would do well with a special tank or wall, such as [example]", instead of "use SpDef Char X or Chansey". It's less constricting and easier to understand for newer players.

Moves
========

Iron Defense is used to boost Kartana’s already high Defence stat, which makes it easier to tank strong physical attacks like a maximum Attack Donphan’s Tectonic Rage or Mega Heracross’ Close Combat These are both poor examples. At the end of the day, if you don't run Substitute Donphan is a 50/50 on whether or not they Counter on the turn you attack, and Mega Heracross can just attack the next turn and possibly 2HKO even after an Iron Defense and Synthesis (252+ Atk Heracross-Mega Close Combat vs. +2 144 HP / 56+ Def Kartana: 194-230 (65.7 - 77.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO). Also, you list Hera as a weakness further down. While what you're saying isn't technically incorrect, stating them in the first place gives the impression that these are guaranteed matchups for this Kartana. Synthesis helps in recovering the damage incurred while setting up an Iron Defense, and in conjunction with Iron Defense can be used to set up on a Mega Metagross, Sawk, or Crustle. same thing with these two, half of all Sawks and Crustle's run Counter, making it in essence 50/50s This can also be used against the infamous Curse Mimikyu set. This slot can also have Substitute to make use of the wallbreaking capabilities of Substitute in conjunction with Swords Dance, though Synthesis helps in healing off damage incurred from Pokemon like Mega Metagross, Landorus-T and Donphan. The third move slot is a choice between Swords Dance and Substitute. While Substitute helps in countering prevents Donphan, Golem, and Crustle from clicking hitting you with Counter, Move this information to the first time Substitute is mentioned and to tank a possible critical hit, Swords Dance helps in setting up on a Zygarde, or Metagross Mega after setting up Iron Defence against them. Leaf Blade is the best STAB move Kartana gets, and it lets Kartana KO Water-types, Ground-types, and Rock types like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, Tapu Fini, Donphan, Mega Tyranitar, and its high critical hit ratio helps it in checking physical setup Pokemon like Coil Zygarde, Bulk Up Landorus-T. Same thing with the first time you stressed Crits, they are never very likely even with a higher crit ratio and shouldn't be suggested as a viable answer to these types of Pokemon, especially when setting up with Iron Defense and Swords Dance can beat Bulk Up Landorus-Therian.

Don't use Pokemon that can just click Counter to win as examples of Pokemon that you can beat, unless you can make it clear that you are using Substitute to avoid Counter. Even if it is a 50/50 without Sub, that still means you lose 50% of the time against those Pokemon.

Set Details
========

The 224 Speed investment helps it in outspeeding maximum Speed Non-Choice Scarf Landorus-T to set up an Iron Defence before it get to use its moves. The 204 EVs are given to HP, and the nature is set to Impish to ensure that Kartana can always use Synthesis after Iron Defense against Adamant Mega Metagross without having to worry about Hammer Arm followed by Bullet Punch. The remaining EVs are given to Attack to increase its chance of beating most many physical threats prevelat in the game, like Mega Metagross, Landorus-T, and Zygarde-C. Grassium Z is the held item, since it boosts Leaf Blade to a 175 Base Power powerful STAB Bloom Doom. Good, make sure to put the optimized EVs in here

Usage Tips
========

Against most physical attackers like Mega Metagross, Donphan, and Landorus-T, start off by using Iron Defense and by healing off the damage taken by using Synthesis. After fully setting up with Iron Defense, start using either Swords Dance or Substitute depending on what your other moves are have. If you don't have Synthesis, use Substitute in the first two turns, followed by Swords Dance. This surely cannot be exactly what you need to do against all 3 threats. Are you even winning against Mega Metagross if you don't have Synthesis? In both cases, finish off by using Bloom Doom after setting up, followed by Leaf Blade/s if they are still standing. Just in general, be more specific with the actions that need to be taken towards specific Pokemon Avoid sending in Kartana on faster special attacker like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Naganadel, and Blacephalon.

Team Options
========

Choice Band Archeops is singularly the best partner for Kartana, which takes care of Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Dragonite, Heatran, Necrozma lol no 252+ Atk Choice Band Archeops Head Smash vs. 248 HP / 136+ Def Necrozma: 336-396 (84.6 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO, and even just max HP variants are not guaranteed vs Jolly, and Kommo-o 30% run Substitute, which shut down Banded Fly, and bulky likes Aerial Ace, and lures Mega Gyarados, Landorus-T, Mega Metagross and Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan and Golem for Kartana to finish. Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Sawk, Mega Heracross, and Mega Blaziken counters Kartana, so Pokemon like Mimikyu or Primarina with appropriate Defense investment has an advantage over these Pokemon and can be used. Since Kartana is specially weak has poor Special Defense, some specially bulky Pokemon like Chansey or Nihilego can be used as a teammate. In turn, both these Pokemon appreciate Kartana's physical bulk. Why? What physical mons beat Chansey or Nihilego that Kartana beats.

Same thing with the first Team Options, try not to list extremely specific teammates (Choice Band Archeops), and instead focus on the roles a teammate should play, as well as how Kartana benefits a specific role.

Other Options
=============

240 HP along with 252 Special Defence, along with a Careful nature, allows it to tank Adaptability Chocie Scarf Porygon-Z Hyper Beam, and Gigavolt Havoc Magnezone. EVs are way too high, you can lower it to 128/252 Careful and get the same result for PZ and Magnezone. Also, Magnezone can just E-Web into Z and therefore create a chance to beat even 240/252 Careful But this loses out on other matchups like Landorus-T. Choice Scarf Kartana can be used to take out Non-Choice Scarf Greninja, Mega Lopunny and Naganadel, neither Mega Lopunny or Naganadel are guaranteed to be knocked out by Choice Scarf, unless you mean Adamant. If you do, mention "Adamant Choice Scarf Kartana", if you don't, take them out but it loses out on the firepower facilitated by its other sets. Are there any other Move Choices you can add for Kartana? Something like Laser Focus for Pokemon that set up, or Knock Off for getting rid of certain items. Also, mention that you can run offensive Grassium Z instead of Choice Band if you don't want to be choice locked.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-type Pokemon and Fire-type attacks**: Fire-type Pokemon and attacks easily finish off Kartana due to its 4x weakness to them, so Pokemon with Fire-typing or Fire-type attacks, like the Mega Charizards, Mega Camerupt, Necrozma, Genesect, Kommo-O, etc. can take out Kartana, if they survive Kartana's attacks.

**Fighting-type Pokemon**: The prominent Fighting-type Pokemon in the 1v1 metagame like Mega Lopunny, Mega Blaziken, Mega Heracross, and Sawk all have the upper hand vs Kartana due to their ability to supereffectively hit Kartana while either tanking its attacks or outspeeding it.

**Special Attackers**: Unless a lot of special bulk is invested into Kartana, prominent special attackers like Porygon-Z, Magearna, Magnezone, Greninja, Naganadel, Dragonite, and even average special attackers like Togekiss and Shell Smashed Carracosta can finish off Kartana. Move to the top, this is easily the biggest category of Kart answers

In general, the biggest two issues are a lack of consistency and clarity with what Kartana can or cannot beat, and some assumptions made with certain matchups. I believe I have addressed all of them; when fixing this be sure to specify under what conditions Kartana can beat certain Pokemon, so as to not confuse the reader later on when you say Kartana loses to the same Pokemon you said Kartana could beat.

I'll let Martha decide if this should be stamped for 1/3, or if 1/3 should come after these additions are implemented and reviewed, unless she finds reason for concern in my analysis Hope I didn't go overboard.

edit: it'll be qc 1/3 after second review

SO the QC team, with permission from Uselesscrab, have decided to push this QC back to to 0/3, after determining that there is still a lot more work than their should be left for a 3rd QC check.

Bolded is additions, strikethrough is stuff that should be removed or edited, red is comments. All information I bring are based on 1630 Usage stats and Calcs.

hey yeah, everything looks good. Just a few things; firstly, my bad on my part, your first Kart set should run 252 speed evs, not 248, as it doesn't allow other Kart users to potentially speed creep you. It was my fault to suggest 248, You should switch back to 252 spe. Secondly, be sure to switch the second set to bullet points as well. and there are a few important changes that you missed:
- remove "and its high critical hit ratio helps it in checking physical setup Pokemon like Coil Zygarde, Bulk Up Landorus-T." in the second "Set Comments"
- when you say "Kartana can also run an all-out offensive" in Other Options, you don't mention that it's Grassium Z, or the EVs (252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe with Jolly Nature), so be sure to include those two things so the reader is clarified.

Otherwise, you're good, and after those changes are implemented, qc 1/3

Implemented everything except the crit part. The high crit ratio usually makes sure Zygarde doesn't Rest the damage from the Leaf Blades and drain all Synthesis PP to win.

- in first bullet mention its speed instead of defense. and instead of "counter" put "outspeed and hit hard". also in this bullet, make the type of pokemon it beats more diverse, instead of 3 bulky waters. try like lele and mega ttar over primafini
- in fire/fighting bullet mention how common these types are
- mention being a bit outclassed by other steels like gear and gross. also mention ferro.
- on spdef section mention scarf pz > necrozma.

moves:
- uh,,, make the first 2 sentences not flow the exact same way. also alolan ninetales is pretty irrelevant. try mega gardevoir.
- on "can bulk itself" say "sometimes has enough bulk to live" or something dude

- zardx/y for steels like aegi/genesect, zardy for gren
grassium:
- fam that's not how slashes work. make it sd/synthesis/id/leafblade. period. maybe slash sub over synthesis.
- on grassium mention how great it is after an sd, kinda the appeal of kart
usage tips:

- mention primafini's good zard mu
- mention nihlego's good mu vs char, not to mention kart's ability to beat gyara
- mention another mon like maybe dnite that gets owned by gyara and appeciates karts support
oo:
- completely remove spdef. mention scarf to beat pz. also mention hp fire on here to beat other karts/ferros
- mention sub+sd+smart strike to beat charm venu or charmers in general
- add something about laser focus on setup sets
cc:
- mention steels (genesect, gear, zone)
- add smoething about giga drain to sturdies
- add physically defensive pokemon: counter chansey + kee mew or smth

wowzers thats a lot 2/3

dom Done most of them except these
also mention ferro.
Both do very different roles, so not mentioning this.
usage tips:
- i wouldnt mention mons like chomp and pinsir, i'd mention mons like primarina or mega gardevoir that it has the stab mu against. Someone told me previously that UT is about stuff new readers generally won't know about. Everyone knows Grass beats Water, and Steel beats Fairies, but not all knows CB Giga Impact has the potential of beating chomp and Pinsir

- archeops, dude? mega ttar beats all of those. archeops -> mega ttar (genesect too with fp) Band Superpower / DDance Groundium Dragonite is a thing

- mention another mon like maybe dnite that gets owned by gyara and appeciates karts support I can't think of a broader category of Pokemon into which Dragonite could fit in where it would appreciate Kartana's support; help, please?

oo:
- completely remove spdef. mention scarf to beat pz. also mention hp fire on here to beat other karts/ferros This is too niche, totally unjustifiable to run on any Kartana set.....

- mention steels (genesect, gear, zone) These are special attackers, which makes them KO Kartana, and not their Steel typing... And I've already included a section about Special attackers.

No, they are absolutely not, besides the occasional cteamer, which is unavoidable. If you are including cteamers, then remove Archeops, bc I could run Choice Scarf Dragonite or Charti Berry Dnite and win.

Add HP Fire. The whole point of OO is to mention niche sets that lure and beat certain threats.

edit: After reviewing calcs, the usefulness of HP Fire kart is completely overshadowed by the potential to still beat both Kartana sets and Ferrothorn with Choice Band Sacred Sword Kartana.
my boi Wrath of Alakazam add these and we'll do a 3rd qc

[OVERVIEW]

Kartana has a huge Attack stat, a good Speed stat, and decent physical bulk to compliment it, so it can be used to outspeed common Pokemon in the 1v1 metagame like Mega Gyarados, Mega Tyranitar, and Tapu Lele, and hit them hard. It has access to setup moves like Iron Defense and Swords Dance which, in conjunction with its high base Speed, helps it in taking out Pokemon like Mega Metagross, and Zygarde-C. Kartana is weak to Fire-, and Fighting-type Pokemon. So, very frequently used Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Lopunny can easily counter it, which severely limits its usage. Instead of limits its usage you can just say threaten it or something else as that doesn't help much It has horrific special bulk, and is easily OHKOed by some of the most common Special Attackers in the metagame, such as Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Kommo-O, Magnezone, and Meloetta, even if Kartana resists the attack. It also finds itself outclassed by bulkier Steel-types like Magearna and Mega Metagross.

Moves
========

Leaf Blade is Kartana’s strongest Grass-type STAB move, allowing it to hit Water-, Rock- and Ground-type Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Mega Slowbro, Mega Tyranitar and Mega Swampert super effectively, and also for neutral damage on Pokemon like Hoopa-U. Note that Giga Impact is the best for neutral damage Leaf Blade is better on Hoopa-U because of Leaf Blade's acc and otherwise Giga Impact is the move to use. Smart Strike hits Ice-, Rock- and Fairy-type Pokemon like Ninetales-Alola, Nihilego, and Tapu Lele. Sacred Sword can be used against bulky Normal-type and some Steel-type Pokemon like Chansey, Heatran and Excadrill. However, this is not necessarily the best counter to Chansey and Heatran, since Chansey can tank Sacred Sword and use Counter, while Heatran sometimes has enough bulk to live a Sacred Sword and can KO back with its STAB Fire-type move. Giga Impact is the fourth move slot to give Kartana the edge over many uninvested Mega Charizards and Mega Pinsir. Here don't just say Giga Impact is the fourth move slot, its Kartana's hardest hitting move which lets it KO Pokemon like the examples you've given.

Set Details
========

The 48 HP EVs allow it to survive two Sucker Punch from maximum Attack Mega Mawile. The 252 Speed EVs along with a Jolly nature helps it to outspeed maximum Speed non-Choice Scarf Terrakion and Keldeo, and speed tie with opposing maximum Speed Jolly Kartana. The remaining EVs are invested into Attack and the held item given as Choice Band to maximize damage output. Kartana's ability, Beast Boost, does nothing to bolster its offensive or defensive capability

Usage Tips
========

Send Kartana against slower, frail opponents like Garchomp, and Mega Pinsir, since it can KO these Pokemon with Giga Impact. Wouldn't call both of these frail as that's wrong, you can say Pokemon that can be KOd by its moves Avoid sending in Kartana on faster special attackers like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Necrozma, Magnezone, and Naganadel. Also, don’t send Kartana against Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan, Aggron and Magnezone, since they can click Counter, Metal Burst, or finish you off with a corresponding Z-Move.

Team Options
========

Since Fire-types and special attackers like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Greninja, Porygon-Z, Magearna, and Magnezone beat Kartana, some special defensive Pokemon like specially defensive Mega Charizard X, Primarina, Tapu Fini or Chansey can be used as a teammate. In turn, Kartana can help defeat common Mega Charizard X counters like Mega Gyarados, Primarina and Tapu Fini counters like Nihilego and common Taunters that usually give Chansey trouble like Mega Gyarados and Tapu Lele. Choice Specs Necrozma is also a good teammate option, since it beats Donphan, Golem, some Fire-type Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Blaziken, and Mega Lopunny, and others, while Kartana can help Necrozma with Mega Gyarados, Mega Charizard Y, Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir. Pokemon like Dragonite, that have trouble against physical threats that Kartana resists, can be used as teammates. These appreciate Kartana's ability to take out its counters.

Iron Defense is used to boost Kartana’s already high Defence stat, which makes it easier to tank strong physical attacks like a maximum Attack Landorus-T's Tectonic Rage. Synthesis helps in recovering the damage incurred while setting up an Iron Defense and, in conjunction with Iron Defense, can be used to set up on a Mega Metagross, Zygarde-C, and Landorus-T. Leaf Blade is the best STAB move Kartana gets, and it lets Kartana KO Water-types, Ground-types, and Rock types like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, Tapu Fini, and Mega Tyranitar, and its high critical hit ratio helps it in checking physical setup Pokemon like Coil Zygarde. The last move slot is a choice between Swords Dance and Substitute. While Substitute prevents Donphan and Golem from hitting Counter, Swords Dance helps in setting up on a Zygarde, or Metagross Mega after setting up Iron Defence against them.

Set Details
========

The 224 Speed investment helps it in outspeeding maximum Speed non-Choice Scarf Landorus-T to set up an Iron Defence before it get to use its moves. The 144 HP EVs along with 56 Defence EVs and Impish nature ensures that Kartana can always use Synthesis after Iron Defense against Adamant Mega Metagross without having to worry about Hammer Arm and Bullet Punch. The remaining EVs are given to Attack to increase its chance of beating many physical threats prevelant in the game, like Mega Metagross, Landorus-T, and Zygarde-C. Grassium Z is the held item, since it boosts Leaf Blade to a powerful STAB Bloom Doom. If you have Swords Dance, Grassium Z can even KO neutral physically bulky Pokemon like Mega Sableye and Toxapex.

Usage Tips
========

Against most physical attackers like Mega Metagross, Zygarde-C, and Landorus-T, start off by using Iron Defense and by healing off the damage taken by using Synthesis. After fully setting up with Iron Defense, start using either Swords Dance or Substitute depending on what your other moves are. If you don't have Synthesis, use Substitute in the first two turns, followed by Swords Dance. In both cases, finish off by using Bloom Doom after setting up followed by Leaf Blade/s if they are still standing. Avoid sending in Kartana on faster special attacker like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Naganadel, and Blacephalon.

Team Options
========

Offensive Rock-type Pokemon like Mega Tyranitar or Choice Band Archeops is singularly the best partner for Kartana, which takes care of Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Dragonite, and Heatran, and lures Mega Gyarados, Landorus-T, Zygarde-C and Mega Metagross for Kartana to finish. Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Sawk, Mega Heracross, and Mega Blaziken counters Kartana, so Pokemon like Tapu Fini or Primarina with appropriate Defense investment has an advantage over these Pokemon, and can be used. Since Kartana has poor Special Defense, some specially bulky Pokemon like Chansey or Nihilego can be used as a teammate. In turn, both these Pokemon appreciate Kartana's physical bulk.

128 HP along with 252 Special Defence, along with a Careful nature, allows it to tank Adaptability Choice Scarf Porygon-Z Hyper Beam, and Ice Beam from Choice Specs Protean Greninja. But this loses out on other matchups like Landorus-T, and both Greninja and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z usually runs Hidden Power Fire. Adamant Choice Scarf can be used to take out Greninja, Mega Lopunny and Naganadel, but it loses out on the firepower facilitated by its other sets. Kartana can also run an all-out offensive Leaf Blade / Sacred Sword / Smart Strike / Swords Dance (or) Substitute with 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe, Jolly Nature, and with Grassium Z as the held item rather than the defensive variant for more firepower. Mention the specific things that this firepower can help beat which the current set can't It can also make use of a Swords Dance / Substitute / Smart Strike / Laser Focus set with 112 Atk / 148 SpD / 248 Spe EVs along with a Jolly Nature and Steelium Z as its held item to counter Iron Defense Magearna and non-Hidden Power Fire Mega Venusaur. However, this misses out on the higher damage output facilitated by its other sets, and it also fails to beat the common Water-type Pokemon it usually beats, like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, and Tapu Fini.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-type Pokemon and Fire-type attacks**: Fire-type Pokemon and attacks easily finish off Kartana due to its 4x weakness to them, so Pokemon with Fire-typing or Fire-type attacks, like the Maybe specify bulky for Charizard Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Mega Camerupt, Necrozma, Genesect, Kommo-O, etc. can take out Kartana if they survive Kartana's attacks.

You can add in the reason being its low special bulk

**Sturdy Pokemon**: Unless Kartana has Substitute as one of its moves, Pokemon with the Sturdy ability like Donphan, Golem, Magnezone, Crustle, and Sawk gain the upper hand against Kartana due to their access to the move Counter, being super-effective, or straight up finishing Kartana with a strong Z Move. Mention that Donphan, Golem can be played around with Substitute Grassium Z.

[OVERVIEW]

Kartana has a huge Attack stat, a good Speed stat, and decent physical bulk to compliment it, so it can be used, allowing it to outspeed common Pokemon in the 1v1 metagame like Mega Gyarados, Mega Tyranitar, and Tapu Lele, and hit them hard. (how does decent physical bulk factor into this?) It has access to setup moves like Iron Defense and Swords Dance which, in conjunction with its high base Speed, helps it in taking out Pokemon like Mega Metagross, and Zygarde-C. Despite this, Kartana is weak to Fire-, and Fighting-type Pokemon. So, very, meaning frequently used Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Lopunny can easily counter it, which threatens it. It. Moreover, Kartana has horrific special bulk, and is easily OHKOed by some of the most common Special Aspecial attackers in the metagame, such as Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Kommo-Oo, Magnezone, and Meloetta, even if Kartana resists the attackon a resisted hit. It also finds itself outclassed by bulkier Steel-types like Magearna and Mega Metagross.

Moves

Leaf Blade iallows Kartana’s strongest Grass-type STAB move, allowing it to hit Water-, Rock-, and Ground-type Pokemon like Mega Gyarados, Mega Slowbro, Mega Tyranitar, and Mega Swampert super effectively, and also on while heavily damaging Pokemon like Hoopa-U. Smart Strike hits Ice-, Rock-, and Fairy-type Pokemon like Alolan Ninetales-Alola, Nihilego, and Tapu Lele. Sacred Sword can be used against bulky Normal-types and some Steel-type Pokemons like Chansey, Heatran, and Excadrill. However, this is not the most effective way to deal with Chansey and Heatran, since this is not necessarily the best counter to Chansey and Heatran, since Chansey can tankcan tank a Sacred Sword and usereturn with Counter, while Heatran sometimes has enough bulk to lsurvive a Sacred Sword and can KO back with its STABKO Kartana with a Fire-type STAB move. Giga Impact is the hardest-hitting neutral damage move to gively damaging move, giving Kartana the edge over many uninvested Mega Charizards(some vague terms here that you need to clarify: 1) giving the edge – in what way? 2) uninvested: in terms of Attack? Defense?) Mega Charizard, Garchomp, and Mega Pinsir.

The 48 HP EVs allow itKartana to survive two Sucker Punches from maximum Attack Mega Mawile. The 252 Speed EVs along with a Jolly nature helps it to outspeed maximum Speed non-Choice Scarf Terrakion and Keldeo, and s and Speed tie with opposing maximum Speed Jolly Kartana. The remaining EVs are invested into Attack and the held item given as (is the latter portion really necessary? seems like it's implied that an opposing Kartana with the exact same spread would, indeed, Speed tie…). The remaining Attack EVs and Choice Band to maximize damage output. Kartana's ability, Beast Boost, does nothing to bolster its offensive or defensive capabilitydamage output.

Usage Tips
========

Send Kartana against slower opponentfoes like Garchomp, and Mega Pinsir, since it can KO these Pokemon with Giga Impact. If it's a choice between Leaf Blade and Giga Impact, use Giga Impact unless you are sure that Leaf Blade wouldill secure the KO, since Giga Impact does more damage than STAB-boosted Leaf Blade. Avoid sending in Kartana on faster special attackers like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Necrozma, Magnezone, and Naganadel. Also, don’t send Kartana against Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan, Aggron, and Magnezone, since they can clickuse Counter, Metal Burst, or finish you off with a corresponding Z-Move to finish it off.

Since Fire-types and special attackers like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Greninja, Porygon-Z, Magearna, and Magnezone beat Kartana, somea specially defensive Pokemon like specially defensive Mega Charizard X, Primarina, Tapu Fini, or Chansey can be used as a teammate. In turn, Kartana can help defeat common Mega Charizard X counters like Mega Gyarados, Primarina and Tapu Fini counters like Nihilego, and common Taunt users that usually give Chansey trouble like Mega Gyarados and Tapu Lele. Choice Specs Necrozma is also a good teammate option, since it beats Donphan, Golem, some Fire-type Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, fand Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Blaziken, and Mega Lopunny, and others, while Kartana can help Necrozma with Mega Gyarados, Mega Charizard Y, Tapu Lele, and Mega Gardevoir. Iron Defense is used to boost Kartana’s already high Defenc-high Defense stat, which makes it easier for it to tank strong physical attacks like a maximum Attack Landorus-T's Tectonic Rage. Synthesis helps in recovering the damage incurred while setting up an Iron Defense and, in conjunction with Iron Defense, can be used to set up on a Mega Metagross, Zygarde-C, and Landorus-T. Leaf Blade is the best STAB move Kartana gets, and it lets Kartana KO Water-types, Ground-types, and Rock-types like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, Tapu Fini, and Mega Tyranitar, and its high critical hit ratio helps it in checking physical setup Pokemon like Coil Zygarde. The last moveslot is a choice between Swords Dance and Substitute. While Substitute prevents Donphan and Golem from hitting Counter, Swords Dance helps in settinglets Kartana set up on a Zygarde, or and Mega Metagross Mega after setting up Iron Defencse against them.

The 224 Speed investment helps it inEVs help Kartana to outspeeding maximum Speed non-Choice Scarf Landorus-T to set up an, letting it set up first with Iron Defence before it get to use its moves. The 144 HP EVs along with 56 Defencse EVs and an Impish nature ensures that Kartana can always use Synthesis after Iron Defense against Adamant Mega Metagross without having to worry about Hammer Arm and Bullet Punch. The remaining EVs are given to Attack to increase itKartana's chance of beating many prevalent physical threats prevelant in the game,(physically offensive? physically defensive? clarify) threats like Mega Metagross, Landorus-T, and Zygarde-C. Grassium Z is the held item, since it boostturns Leaf Blade into a powerful STAB-boosted Bloom Doom. If you have Swords Dance, Grassium Z, which can even KO neutral physically bulky Pokemon like Mega Sableye and Toxapex when boosted.

Usage Tips
========

Against most physical attackers like Mega Metagross, Zygarde-C, and Landorus-T, start off by using Iron Defense and by healing off the damage taken by usingwith Synthesis. After fully setting up with Iron Defense, start using either Swords Dance or Substitute depending on what your other moves are. If you don't have Synthesis, use Substitute in the first two turns, followed by Swords Dance. In both cases, finish off by using Bloom Doom after setting up followed by Leaf Blade/s if they are foe is still standing. Avoid sending in Kartana on faster special attackers like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Naganadel, and Blacephalon.

Team Options

Offensive Rock-type Pokemon like Mega Tyranitar orand Choice Band Archeops is singularlyare the best partners for Kartana, which takestaking care of Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Dragonite, and Heatran, and luresing Mega Gyarados, Landorus-T, Zygarde-C, and Mega Metagross for Kartana to finish. Fighting-type Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Sawk, Mega Heracross, and Mega Blaziken counters Kartana, so; Pokemon like Tapu Fini orand Primarina with appropriate Defense investment hasve an advantage over these Pokemon, and can be used and hence make for good partners. Since Kartana has poor Special Defense, some specially bulky Pokemon like Chansey orand Nihilego can be used as a teammates. In turn, both these Pokemon appreciate Kartana's physical bulk.

implemented! Thank you for GP :)
And, as for remarks,
1) how does decent physical bulk factor into this? Kartana can tank +1 Mega Gyarados Crunch, which is some bulk....

2) is the latter portion really necessary? seems like it's implied that an opposing Kartana with the exact same spread would, indeed, Speed tie… removed the "and Speed tie with opposing maximum Speed Jolly Kartana " part.

3) physically offensive? physically defensive? clarify disambiguated this part to say "prevelant physically defensive threats"
