- Not much has changed for it since DPP, equally as effective still
- Swift Swim doubles its speed and its STAB Waterfall, allowing Kingdra to be deadly when used with Kyogre
- Has access to Dragon Dance

- 176 speed EVs to Outspeed Scarf Chomp, remainder put into SpA in order to maximize Draco Meteors Power
- Kyogre Is a required teammate as it allows Kingdra to reach its full potential in the Rain.
- Scizor can U-Turn scouting out good opportunities for Kingdra to Switch in
- Steel Types in general can Sponge Dragon attacks aimed at it
- Groudon is the largest issue as it brings in the sun neutering Kingdra. Can also take Kingdras hits with ease
- Tyranitar is mentioned for removing Rain but isnt hard for Kingdra to Remove
- Dialga can take hits and easily OHKO Kingdra

- This allows the user to be immune to Explosion. It isn't very useful this gen due to the Explosion Nerf and is an inferior option to Swift Swim.
