[OVERVIEW]
While Kingler boasts an impressive Attack stat complemented by a decent movepool, Sheer Force, and Agility, which gives it a decent matchup against offensive teams, it sadly struggles to break through walls like Vaporeon and Seismitoad. Moreover, its bad special bulk makes it extremely hard for it to set up and leaves it easily revenge killed by faster threats such as Sceptile and Magmortar and by priority move users like Comfey after setup. It also suffers from competition from other Water-types wallbreakers such Samurott, which has higher bulk, Aqua Jet, and Megahorn and can afford to use a Z-Move, giving it a stronger Bug-type move in Savage Spin-Out.

[SET]
name: Double Dance
move 1: Agility
move 2: Swords Dance
move 3: Liquidation
move 4: Knock Off / X-Scissor
item: Life Orb
ability: Sheer Force
nature: Adamant / Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
With this set, Kingler aims to wallbreak and potentially sweep thanks to its access to Swords Dance and Agility, decent movepool, and ability to force out threats such as Incineroar and set up. However, Kingler has a hard time setting up and breaking past walls such as Vaporeon and suffers from competition from Samurott, as Aqua Jet allows the latter to somewhat avoid revenge killing from the likes of Togedemaru without relying on Agility to do so.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Kingler has a high Attack stat coupled with an amazing ability, making it a good wallbreaker with limited switchins. It also has a good movepool, allowing it to easily threaten would-be switchins like Slowbro. (eggy-a/guzzlord too)
  • Access to both Swords Dance and Agility make it nigh unwallable and significantly improve its matchup against offensive team respectively. (I think you meant to say defensive and offensive teams respectively)
  • Kingler has a decent defensive typing and good physical bulk, allowing it to take advantage of the likes of Incineroar and Steelix while also allowing it to avoid getting revenge killed by Choice Scarf Passimian (mention that it gives it setup opportunities).
  • It has a bad special bulk, letting it vulnerable to threats such as Rotom and Heliolisk and revenge killed by Comfey.
  • Kingler suffer from its average speed prior setup, letting it vulnerable to the aforementioned threats.
  • While it has a good movepool, it struggles to get past walls like Vileplume and Seismitoad.
  • Kingler is susceptible to Entry Hazards damage, Life Orb recoil, and since all of its Attacks make contact, Rocky Helmet and Aftermath, leaving it easily picked off by a priority move like Comfey's Giga Drain (comfey absolutely obliterates kingler with giga drain regardless)
(its competition with samurott is noteworthy, as besides having priority it has a better special movepool which gives it more versatility)

[SET]
name: Double Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Agility
move 3: Liquidation
move 4: X-Scissor / Knock Off
item: Life Orb
ability: Sheer Force
nature: Jolly / Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
  • Swords Dance allows Kingler to get past walls like Slowbro and weakened Vaporeon
  • Agility boosts Kingler's average speed and make it significantly harder for offensive teams to deal with.
  • Liquidation is Kingler's main attack and is boosted by Sheer Force.
  • X-Scissor is used to deal with Slowbro and Grass-types such as Alolan Exeggutor.
  • Knock Off cripples switchins like Seismitoad and Vileplume while also hitting non-Colbur Berry Slowbro (dhelmise as well)

Set Details
========
  • Life Orb gives all of Kingler's attacks a boost while also giving no recoil if the move is boosted by Sheer Force, like in Liquidation's case.
  • Adamant is used for higher wallbreaking prowess, notably allowing it to potentially OHKO Colbur Berry Slowbro after Stealth Rock with X-Scissor.
  • Jolly can be used for a better speed prior setup (noteworthy targets?), at the cost of missing out on some OHKO and 2HKO (mention missing out on slowbro, that's a big one).
  • Max Attack and Speed are used so Kingler can hit as hard as possible while being as fast as possible.
Usage Tips
========

  • It should weaken its checks like Seismitoad early- and mid-game to get past them late-game.
  • It should primarily setup late-game when its checks are weakened or on a forced or predicted switch, such as against Rhydon, to put immediate pressure (anything it can directly set up against? spdef inci without wisp cant rly touch you for instance)
  • Against slower and bulkier team, setting up with Swords Dance to wallbreak more efficiently is recommended while against offensive teams, which often lack a good switchin, setting up with Agility should be the priority.
  • Kingler should be brought in with U-turn or Volt Switch, a smart double switch or after a sac. It can also come in on weaker physical hits such as Steelix's Heavy Slam due to its decent physical bulk but shouldn't come on special hits due to its mediocre special bulk.

Team Options
========
  • Volt Switch and U-turn users like Rotom and Passimian pair well with Kingler due to their ability to bring Kingler in safely. Whimsicott and Heliolisk are especially good partners since they deal with the Water-types Kingler struggles to break while also bringing some speed, something that Kingler lacks (incineroar and rotom can bait in rhydon and opposing incineroar).
  • Hazards allow Kingler to put more pressure on the foe and allow it to potentially break through walls like Vaporeon. Therefore, Entry Hazards setters like Diancie and Mega Glalie make for decent partners. The latter is especially notable as it can deal with Grass-types and can further pressure Water-types like Vaporeon (seismitoad here as well).
  • Checks to Grass- and Electric-types are greatly appreciated since they can deal with Kingler offensively. Thus, partners like Vileplume are greatly appreciated (any explicit stops to electrics? most of them volt out of vileplume so a ground type mention could work here).
  • Due to Kingler's poor speed prior setup, faster Pokemon like Choice Scarf Passimian make for good partners.
  • Cleaners such as the aforementioned Choice Scarf Passimian and Vivillion that appreciate Kingler's wallbreaking are nice teammate. The latter works especially well due to its ability to threaten Grass- and Water-types Kingler struggles to break. (alternatively wallbreakers let kingler go off with agility more easily)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Ice Beam can be used over X-Scissor or Knock Off since it's boosted by Sheer Force and hits Grass- and Dragon-types like Alolan Exeggutor and Druddigon harder. However, this leaves Kingler unable to deal with Water-types and X-Scissor and Knock Off already cover most Grass-types.
  • Due to Kingler's low speed, it can utilize a Choice Scarf set. This set is still fairly slow and gives up Kingler's ability to wallbreak thanks to Swords Dance.
  • Rock Slide can be used as it is boosted by Sheer Force will hitting both Grass- and Water-types neutrally. However, this leaves it easily walled by Slowbro and Ferroseed (this is kinda bad imo, up to qc but I'd just nuke rock slide).

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Water-types**: Bulky Water-types such as Seismitoad are huge roadblocks to Kingler since it can't hit them for considerable damage while they can cripple it with a Scald burn or Toxic (colbur slowbro is also an issue if you're knock off > x-scissor).

**Grass-types**: Bulky Grass-types like Vileplume and Ferroseed fear nothing outside of Knock Off for the latter and can deal with it without much difficulty. While they can't switch-in safely, offensive Grass-types such as Whimsicott and Alolan Exeggutor can easily dispose of it with their STAB moves (wouldn't use eggy here since kingler can just click x-scissor after it switches in)

**Electric-types**: While they can't switch on Kingler, offensive Electric-types like Heliolisk and Rotom can easily deal with an unboosted Kingler. They can't deal with a boosted Kingler as they risk getting OHKOed.

**Faster threats**: Due to Kingler's low speed when unboosted, it's susceptible to g revenge killed by a myriad of offensive threats such as Vanilluxe, Magmortar and Sigilyph. However, these are all OHKOed by Kingler and can't revenge kill a boosted one (comfey's giga drain will always outspeed and ohko kingler, pretty noteworthy).

(not sure why residual damage was omitted since you emphasize that as a major negative in the overview)

  • Access to both Swords Dance and Agility make it nigh unwallable and significantly improve its matchup against offensive team respectively. talk about Swords Dance in the previous bullet. address here how Agility helps against certain revenge killers and ofc keep the part about its matchup against offense
  • Kingler has a decent defensive typing and good physical bulk, allowing it to take advantage of the likes of Incineroar and Steelix while also allowing it to avoid getting revenge killed by Choice Scarf Passimian. Close Combat does 66 min lol. I don't think it really helps avoid being revenge killed as much as you seem to be saying it does.
  • It has a bad special bulk, letting it vulnerable to threats such as Rotom and Heliolisk and revenge killed by Comfey.
  • Kingler suffer from its average speed prior setup, letting it vulnerable to the aforementioned threats. put this and the previous bullet together. so something like "its poor Speed prior to setting up as well as its lacking special bulk leave it easily revenge killed by x, y, and z"
  • While it has a good movepool, it struggles to get past walls like Vileplume and Seismitoad. specify physically defensive Vileplume and add Vaporeon here.
  • Kingler is susceptible to Entry Hazards damage, Life Orb recoil, and since all of its Attacks make contact, Rocky Helmet and Aftermath, leaving it easily picked off by a priority move like Comfey's Giga Drain Kingler isn't particularly any more susceptible to entry hazards than any other grounded Pokemon that lacks a Rock weakness. Life Orb recoil isn't particularly problematic either, considering you're looking to spam Liquidation more than anything else. This section as a whole is kinda meh.
  • competition with other, more reliable wallbreakers like Samurott and AV Slowbro that don't rely on boosting to get the job done

Moves
========
  • Swords Dance allows Kingler to get past walls like Slowbro and weakened Vaporeon
  • Agility boosts Kingler's average speed and make it significantly harder for offensive teams to deal with.
  • Liquidation is Kingler's main attack and is boosted by Sheer Force. this bullet tells me nothing of note in its current form. any damage rolls you could give to demonstrate how strong Liquidation is (even boosted Liquidation works to address here)?
  • X-Scissor is used to deal with Slowbro and Grass-types such as Alolan Exeggutor.
  • Knock Off cripples switchins like Seismitoad and Vileplume while also hitting non-Colbur Berry Slowbro. change this to Assault Vest Slowbro; non-Colbur Berry implies you cripple Z-Crystal sets

Set Details
========
  • Life Orb gives all of Kingler's attacks a boost while also giving no recoil if the move is boosted by Sheer Force, like in Liquidation's case.
  • Adamant is used for higher wallbreaking prowess, notably allowing it to potentially OHKO Colbur Berry Slowbro after Stealth Rock with X-Scissor. make this the last point and bring it up as an alternative nature; also address how that X-Scissor roll is at +2
  • Jolly can be used for a better speed prior setup, at the cost of missing out on some OHKO and 2HKO.
  • Max Attack and Speed are used so Kingler can hit as hard as possible while being as fast as possible. make this the second bullet and address Jolly alongside it. also note some threats you outspeed thanks to Jolly.
Usage Tips
========

  • It should weaken its checks like Seismitoad early- and mid-game to get past them late-game.

this is sorta messy ngl. the first two bullets make Kingler seem to be a sweeper by nature, when its moreso a wallbreaker that takes advantage of sd vs fat and agility vs offense to break more effectively (which you bring up in the third bullet). ideally the points go like this: 1) how to play kingler vs different builds, 2) how to get kingler in, 3) when to set up and versus what, 4) playing kingler as a late-game cleaner with agility

Team Options
========
  • Volt Switch and U-turn users like Rotom and Passimian pair well with Kingler due to their ability to bring Kingler in safely. Whimsicott and Heliolisk are especially good partners since they deal with the Water-types Kingler struggles to break while also bringing some speed, something that Kingler lacks. I'd like some mentions of pivots that bring in Pokemon Kingler can set up versus. Incineroar is a good one.
  • Hazards allow Kingler to put more pressure on the foe and allow it to potentially break through walls like Vaporeon. Therefore, Entry Hazards setters like Diancie and Mega Glalie make for decent partners. The latter is especially notable as it can deal with Grass-types and can further pressure Water-types like Vaporeon.
  • Checks to Grass- and Electric-types are greatly appreciated since they can deal with Kingler offensively. Thus, partners like Vileplume are greatly appreciated.
  • Due to Kingler's poor speed prior setup, faster Pokemon like Choice Scarf Passimian make for good partners. you already mention this in the first bullet
  • Cleaners such as the aforementioned Choice Scarf Passimian and Vivillion that appreciate Kingler's wallbreaking are nice teammate. The latter works especially well due to its ability to threaten Grass- and Water-types Kingler struggles to break. wallbreakers (like Guzzlord) can let Kingler act as a cleaner of sorts thanks to Agility + its already great attack

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options

  • Ice Beam can be used over X-Scissor or Knock Off since it's boosted by Sheer Force and hits Grass- and Dragon-types like Alolan Exeggutor and Druddigon harder. However, this leaves Kingler unable to deal with Water-types and X-Scissor and Knock Off already cover most Grass-types. this should only really be used over Swords Dance
  • Due to Kingler's low speed, it can utilize a Choice Scarf set. This set is still fairly slow and gives up Kingler's ability to wallbreak thanks to Swords Dance. no
  • Rock Slide can be used as it is boosted by Sheer Force will hitting both Grass- and Water-types neutrally. However, this leaves it easily walled by Slowbro and Ferroseed. no

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Water-types**: Bulky Water-types such as Seismitoad, Vaporeon, and physically defensive Slowbro are huge roadblocks to Kingler since it can't hit them for considerable damage while they can cripple it with a Scald burn or Toxic.

**Grass-types**: Bulky Grass-types like Vileplume and Ferroseed fear nothing outside of Knock Off for the latter and can deal with it without much difficulty. While they can't switch-in safely, offensive Grass-types such as Whimsicott and Alolan Exeggutor can easily dispose of it with their STAB moves. alolan eggy is slower than kingler though. replace with sceptile

**Electric-types**: While they can't switch on Kingler, offensive Electric-types like Heliolisk and Rotom can easily deal with an unboosted Kingler. They can't deal with a boosted Kingler as they risk getting OHKOed. heliolisk can switch into liquidation though. I'd rephrase this to note how they don't safely switch in

**Faster threats**: Due to Kingler's low speed when unboosted, it's susceptible to g revenge killed by a myriad of offensive threats such as Vanilluxe, Magmortar and Sigilyph. However, these are all OHKOed by Kingler and can't revenge kill a boosted one. comfey giga

  • It has a bad special bulk and Speed prior setup, letting it vulnerable to threats such as Rotom and Heliolisk and revenge killed by Comfey. (it certainly has bad special bulk but i wouldn't say its speed is actually that bad)
  • While it has a good movepool, it struggles to get past walls like physically defensive Vileplume, Seismitoad and Vaporeon. (from what i can gather, specially defensive vileplume is far more common and is the definitive analysis set) (leading on from this their mu is rather interesting. +2 adamant knock off almost always ko's vileplume, while the jolly version does after sr damage (assuming a direct switch-in). this isn't as true for x-scissor however so i'd also factor that in)
  • Kingler suffers from competition from the likes of Samurott, which has better mixed offensive stats and Assault Vest Slowbro, both not requiring boosts and having better movepools. (while the samurott comparison does make sense, i feel as if the assault vest slowbro one is a stretch. they may be water-types but that's about where the similarities end)

Moves
========
  • Swords Dance allows Kingler to get past walls like Slowbro and weakened Vaporeon
  • Agility boosts Kingler's average speed and make it significantly harder for offensive teams to deal with. (this is straight repeated from the overview)
  • Liquidation is Kingler's main attack and is boosted by Sheer Force and it notably OHKOes Rotom if using an Adamant nature. (well, always ohkos bulky defog. the other two sets drop to both natures very convincingly)
  • X-Scissor is used to deal with Slowbro and Grass-types such as Alolan Exeggutor. (it's also for neutral damage against water-types in general, especially ones that straight absorb water-type moves such as seismitoad and gastrodon)
  • Knock Off cripples switchins like Seismitoad and Vileplume while also hitting Assault Vest Slowbro. (x-scissor also does the same to slowbro though)
Set Details
========
  • Life Orb gives all of Kingler's attacks a boost while also giving no recoil if the move is boosted by Sheer Force, like in Liquidation's case. (i'd just shorten this down to liquidation, as kingler really isn't using another move that is affected by sheer force)
  • Max Attack and Speed alongside a Jolly nature are used so Kingler can hit as hard as possible while being as fast as possible, the Jolly nature allowing it to outspeed Modest Vanilluxe
  • Alternatively, Adamant can be used for higher wallbreaking prowess, notably allowing it to potentially OHKO Colbur Berry Slowbro after Stealth Rock with X-Scissor.
Usage Tips
========
  • Kingler should primarily setup on a forced or predicted switch or against threats that can't really hurt it such as Steelix and Rhydon. (it's less things that can't hurt it and more things that it pressures a lot, and can potentially force out)
  • Even if Kingler's main job is to act as a wallbreaker, it can also be a cleaner thanks to Agility. It should only aim to clean once its checks, like Seismitoad and Vaporeon, are weakened.
personally, these usage tips seem super basic. they're pretty vague and don't give concrete examples, like with the first two. if an offensive team has something like heliolisk, for example, then setting up agility would be pointless unless you had both knock off on your moveset and stealth rock on the field. you don't really talk about being able to switch into weaker physical attackers, its interactions with something like garbador, which the defensive version ends up basically making you kill yourself, etc.

Team Options
========
  • Volt Switch and U-turn users like Rotom (choice scarf or not choice scarf? or just generally) and Passimian pair well with Kingler due to their ability to bring Kingler in safely. Whimsicott and Heliolisk are especially good partners since they deal with the Water-types Kingler struggles to break (which water-types, as kingler naturally breaks some like slowbro and slowking) while also bringing some speed, something that Kingler lacks (well, before agility that is). Another good partner is Incineroar, as it brings Pokemon like Diancie and Rhydon to the field. (defog whimsicott and rotom can also act as defog support for kingler)
(kingler is also able to break slowbro, slowking, weaken other water-types, etc. for mega glalie, which is appreciates a lot)
  • Checks to Grass- and Electric-types are greatly appreciated since they can deal with Kingler offensively (few examples are always nice). Thus, partners like Vileplume are greatly appreciated. (how does kingler also support these pokemon?)
  • Cleaners such as the aforementioned Choice Scarf Passimian and Vivillion that appreciate Kingler's wallbreaking are nice teammate. The latter works especially well due to its ability to threaten Grass- and Water-types Kingler struggles to break (i'd list a few as kingler, like i mentioned above, does break a decent amount due to its high attack and knock / x-scissor) and wallbreaker such as Sceptile and Guzzlord can weaken walls for Kingler to clean late game.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Ice Beam can be used over Swords Dance since it's boosted by Sheer Force and hits Grass- and Dragon-types like Alolan Exeggutor and Druddigon harder. However, this leaves Kingler unable to boost its Attack, which leaves it walled by the likes of Slowbro. (defensive slowbro, not assault vest)
Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Water-types**: Bulky Water-types such as Seismitoad, Vaporeon and defensive Slowbro are huge roadblocks to Kingler since it can't hit them for considerable damage while they can cripple it with a Scald burn or Toxic.

While they can't switch-in safely, offensive Grass-types such as Whimsicott and Sceptile can easily dispose of it with their STAB moves. (well, for sceptile as long as it isn't boosted) (for vileplume see the reason outlined in the overview)

**Electric-types**: While they can't safely switch on Kingler, offensive Electric-types like Heliolisk and Rotom can easily deal with an unboosted Kingler. They can't deal with a boosted Kingler as they risk getting OHKOed. (heliolisk can basically always take a hit from full versus kingler)

**Faster threats**: Due to Kingler's low speed when unboosted, it's susceptible to g revenge killed by a myriad of offensive threats such as Vanilluxe (specify timid, as modest is more common from what i can gather), Magmortar and Sigilyph. However, these are all OHKOed by Kingler and can't revenge kill a boosted one. Comfey is especially dangerous for Kingler, as it can even deal with a boosted one thanks to priority Giga Drain.

  • Agility significantly improves its matchup against offensive teams and helps against revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Passimian. It also outspeeds and KO Scarf Togedemaru, which is a significant plus.
  • It has a bad special bulk and Speed prior setup, letting it vulnerable to threats such as Rotom and Heliolisk and revenge killed by Comfey. Why are Electric-types the only listed revenge killers? Greater emphasis needs to be placed on the fact that nearly ANY faster special attacker can revenge kill Kingler, like Sceptile, Magmortar, Delphox, Whimsicott, Sigilyph, Mismagius, etc. that can be mentioned in the C&C Faster Threats section.
  • While it has a good movepool, it struggles to get past walls like physically defensive Vileplume, Seismitoad and Vaporeon. You'll need to specify "bulky Pokemon that resist Water" since Kingler does partially wallbreak. Add Druddigon to this list too btw.
  • Kingler suffers from competition from the likes of Samurott, which has better mixed offensive stats and Assault Vest Slowbro, both not requiring boosts and having better movepools. Kingler's flaws have less to do with competition (which Slowbro isn't even); it's more to do with its tendency to rely on boosting but not having the bulk or resistances to take hits well enough pull off a sweep consistently, which also results in minimal defensive utility which is really important for Water-types in NU.

Knock Off has more worth than X-Scissor in this meta imo; +2 Adamant Knock OHKOes SpD Plume, Colbur Dhelmise after SR, & offensive Toad while +0 Knock OHKOes Heliolisk. Mention Sceptile as an X-Scissor target too.

Adamant is also more valuable than Jolly since its Speed tier is not as important (remove Vanilluxe mentions btw) as Adamant's raw breaking power, and Agility Adamant Kingler outspeeds even up to Scarf Togedemaru anyway. Jolly can still be mentioned to allow Kingler to outspeed positive Speed natured Seismitoad and Decidueye, as well as the rare Choice Scarf Delphox after Agility.

[OVERVIEW]
While Kingler boats an impressive Attack stat and has a pretty large movepool and Sheer Force, it sadly struggles to break through walls like Vaporeon and Seismitoad. Its movepool isn't that impressive lol. It's passable sure, but in reality you have like 3 viable coverage options. Moreover, its pretty bad bulk makes it extremely hard for it to setup and leaves it easily revenge killed by faster threats such as Sceptile and Togedemaru priority move users like Comfey. I mean, its physical bulk is fine; for instance, Togedemaru cannot revenge kill Kingler from full (does 90% maximum with Zing Zap). Make sure to specify that Sceptile and whatever else you want to list is revenge killing pre-Agility.) It also suffers from competition from other Water-types wallbreakers such as Samurott. Focus on Swords Dance Samurott here of course and specify why it is outclassed by the otter.

[SET COMMENTS]
With this set, Kingler aims to wallbreak and potentially sweep thanks to its access to Swords Dance and Agility, large movepool, and its ability to force out threats such as Incineraor, giving it setup opportunities. Read above for opinion on its movepool. However, Kingler has a hard time setting up and breaking past walls such as Vaporeon and suffer from competition from other Water-types, such as Samurott due to their better movepool and unpredictability. Samurott is really the only one you need to focus on, and in this context the movepool difference is essentially limited to a stronger Bug-type move and Aqua Jet. You tell me what these help it accomplish.

[OVERVIEW]
While Kingler boasts an impressive Attack stat and has a decent movepool and Sheer Force, it sadly struggles to break through walls like Vaporeon and Seismitoad. Moreover, its pretty bad special bulk makes it extremely hard for it to setup and leaves it easily revenge killed by priority move users like Comfey, and, when it's not at +2, by faster threats such as Sceptile and Magmortar.(AP) It also suffers from competition from other Water-types wallbreakers such as Swords Dance Samurott its competition quite literally is Samurott, as it has a higher bulk, Aqua Jet, Megahorn and can afford to use a Z-move ok we talked on Discord about it, but Samurott having Z-Megahorn is what I meant in terms of "stronger Bug-type move" lol. combine those last two list ideas into just one.

[SET]

move 4: Knock Off / X-Scissor

[SET COMMENTS]
With this set, Kingler aims to wallbreak and potentially sweep thanks to its access to Swords Dance and Agility, decent movepool, and its ability to force out threats such as Incineraor Incineroar, giving it setup opportunities. However, Kingler has a hard time setting up and breaking past walls such as Vaporeon and suffer from competition from Samurott, as Aqua Jet allows it to somewhat prevent revenge killing from the likes of Togedemaru and means that, unlike Kingler, it isn't reliant on Agility to do so.

It also suffers from competition from other Water-types wallbreakers such Samurott, as it has a higher bulk, Aqua Jet, Megahorn and can afford to use a Z-move, giving it a stronger Bug-type move in Savage Spinout. Mention that Agility can give it a good offense matchup if the opponent lets it set up.
