[OVERVIEW]
Kingler solidifies itself as one of PU's deadliest wallbreakers due to its high Attack in conjunction with its access to a powerful, Sheer Force-boosted STAB move in Liquidation. Because of its access to Agility, Kingler is also capable of serving as an effective sweeper that can threaten offensive teams and defensive teams alike. Its solid physical bulk allows it to stomach hits from the likes of Primeape and Skuntank before retaliating with a stronger attack. Kingler also boasts useful coverage in moves such as Knock Off and Superpower to help it bypass certain Pokemon that resist Liquidation such as Swanna and Ferroseed. However, Kingler has issues with breaking bulkier Grass- and Water-types such as Gourgeist-XL and Gastrodon no matter what coverage it decides to run. Furthermore, Kingler's terrible Special Defense means even resisted special attacks such as Blizzard from Aurorus and Flamethrower from Pyroar do a fair amount of damage to it, and its average Speed leaves it easily revenge killed by faster special attackers like Haunter and Lilligant.

Moves
========
Agility doubles Kingler's Speed, allowing it to outpace Pokemon such as Archeops and common Choice Scarf users like Primeape and Togedemaru, which makes revenge killing it more difficult. Liquidation is an exceptionally powerful STAB move due to boosts from both Sheer Force and Life Orb, capable of 2HKOing physical walls such as defensive Mesprit and Weezing. Knock Off cripples defensive Pokemon that attempt to switch into Kingler by removing their item and also gives it coverage for most Water-resistant foes if Kingler isn't running Superpower. Superpower rounds out Kingler's coverage, giving it a strong attack to threaten Ferroseed on top of other bulky Water-types such as Poliwrath. Alternatively, Swords Dance can be used if the team Kingler is on struggles more with bulkier Pokemon such as Gastrodon, allowing Kingler to more effectively pressure them.
Set Details
========
The investment in Attack and Speed maximizes Kingler's offensive presence while making it as fast as possible, with an Adamant further augmenting Kingler's wallbreaking capabilities. Sheer Force is Kingler's only viable ability and is useful for strengthening Liquidation's power at the cost of negating its secondary effect. Life Orb further increases the power of Kingler's attacks and pairs well with Sheer Force by nullifying the recoil damage it would otherwise take from Liquidation.
Usage Tips
========
Kingler should refrain from switching into attacks recklessly due to its bulk only being decent. The preferred methods of getting Kingler in are through the use of U-turn or Volt Switch, through predicted double switches to Pokemon like Clefairy, and after a teammate is KOed. Kingler can be used to put holes in teams early- and mid-game due to the sheer power of Liquidation and its access to Knock Off allowing it to cripple defensive Pokemon for teammates. Setting up with Agility is recommended against weaker physical attackers like Komala or after Kingler forces a switch. Kingler should mainly attempt to use Agility late-game, though it can do so early- or mid-game if needed. If Kingler opts to run Swords Dance, it should only be used if it is necessary to break through bulkier, passive foes like Gastrodon. In order to beat foes like weakened Lurantis, however, it has to use Swords Dance on the turn it predicts them to switch in. Kingler should be wary of bulkier status inducers like Weezing, since it cannot OHKO them and they can prevent it from sweeping as effectively and wear it down even faster.
Team Options
========
Pivots such as Eelektross, Mesprit, and Togedemaru are good teammates, since they can get Kingler in for free against foes that it can take advantage of such as Audino, Spiritomb, and opposing Eelektross. In particular, Mesprit is a good partner, since it beats Weezing, offers Stealth Rock support, and can provide very useful Healing Wish support in the event that Kingler is worn down too fast. Meanwhile, Eelektross can pressure bulky Grass- and Water-types with Flamethrower and Giga Drain, and Togedemaru can wear switch-ins down with Toxic. Healing Wish support from the likes of Lilligant, Mesprit, and Mr. Mime is very much appreciated, as this allows Kingler to still sweep teams late-game even after taking large amounts of chip damage from foes such as Rocky Helmet Weezing. Entry hazard support is useful for wearing down Pokemon such as Gastrodon and Ferroseed, which is especially useful if Kingler lacks Superpower. Crustle and Smeargle are good entry hazard setters on more offensive teams, while the likes of Ferroseed and Weezing are more appropriate on bulkier teams. Special wallbreakers such as Aurorus, Oricorio-G, and Pyroar are capable of placing pressure on and breaking through bulkier Water-resistant Pokemon such as Gourgeist-XL and Tangela. In return, Kingler can take on specially bulky Pokemon such as Clefairy and Assault Vest Hitmonchan. Oricorio-G and Pyroar even possess a type advantage over Grass-types for Kingler, while Freeze-Dry allows Aurorus to threaten Water-types. Specially defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy and Hitmonchan are good partners, since they are capable of checking special attackers such as Alolan Exeggutor and Magmortar for Kingler. Fighting-types like Gurdurr and Hitmonchan can remove Ferroseed and wear Pokemon like Lanturn down for Kingler if it lacks Superpower. Hitmonchan can also provide entry hazard removal in Rapid Spin, which can prove useful for preserving Kingler's health, and in return, Kingler places pressure on many of the tier's typical Fighting-type checks in Mesprit, Spiritomb, and Weezing. While not necessary, Memento support from the likes of Alolan Dugtrio, Skuntank, and Spiritomb can prove effective, since it eases setup for Kingler and allows it to stomach attacks from Pokemon like Kangaskhan better.

Other Options
=============
Substitute can be used in order to give Kingler an easier time playing around priority users such as Skuntank and setting up against more passive Pokemon like Ferroseed, but Kingler doesn't appreciate dropping coverage for Gastrodon. Ice Beam gives Kingler coverage for Dragon- and Grass-types such as Alolan Exeggutor and Gourgeist-XL, but it has a hard time dropping a move for this as well. Jolly can be used over Adamant in order to get the jump on Pokemon such as Adamant Stoutland, but doing so causes Kingler to lose out on the ability to potentially KO Pokemon such as Black Glasses Spiritomb after Stealth Rock damage. Choice Band may seem appealing, since it increases Kingler's damage output even further without the drawback of recoil damage, but the ability to alternate between moves is a major part in what makes Kingler so threatening. Choice Scarf can be used to turn Kingler into more of a revenge killer, but it is a bit slow for a Choice Scarf user and doesn't like having to be locked into any of its moves. Furthermore, it struggles more with breaking bulkier Pokemon, since it isn't as strong without the boost in power that Life Orb provides. Lum Berry can be used to ignore a status condition once, but this leaves Kingler notably weaker and unable to 2HKO Pokemon such as defensive Mesprit and Weezing. Rock Slide may seem appealing due to it also receiving an increase in power thanks to Sheer Force, but its main targets are already hit rather hard by Knock Off or Superpower, and Kingler doesn't appreciate losing out on a much more useful coverage option.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Bulky Grass-types**: Alolan Exeggutor, Gourgeist-XL, Tangela, and Torterra can all take at least one attack from Kingler and threaten it with either strong, super effective STAB moves or status conditions. If Kingler is at +2, however, Liquidation will OHKO Torterra.
**Bulky Water-types**: Similarly, Gastrodon, Pyukumuku, and Silvally-Water give Kingler trouble due to them all being able to stomach at least one hit and retaliate with Toxic, or Thunderbolt in Silvally-Water's case. In particular, Pyukumuku is annoying for Kingler to break through due to Unaware blocking any potential Attack boosts from Swords Dance.
**Faster Pokemon**: Due to Kingler's merely average Speed tier, faster Pokemon such as Haunter, Lilligant, Oricorio-G, and Swanna are capable of revenge killing it if it hasn't used Agility. Choice Scarf users such as Alolan Raichu, Manectric, and Pyroar outspeed Kingler even after an Agility and can KO it with their STAB moves.
**Residual Damage**: Kingler loathes residual damage taken from entry hazards, weather, and status conditions from Pokemon such as Audino and Sableye, since they wear it down faster and make wallbreaking and sweeping more difficult.
