RestTalk Klang is a key defensive Pokemon in the metagame, as it uses its great Eviolite-boosted bulk and typing to deal with several of the tier's most threatening Pokemon, including Silvally-Ice, Mr. Mime, and Lunatone. Volt Switch, coupled with its below average Speed stat, allows Klang to bring its teammates in safely. Toxic can be used to punish Pokemon such as Palpitoad, Whiscash, and Carkol that might look to take advantage of Klang. Shift Gear is another option that turns RestTalk Klang into a bulky late-game sweeper, but it loses out on much of its utility. Special Defense investment is preferred, as Klang needs it to adequately check threats like Wartortle and Galarian Mr. Mime, but a physically defensive spread is useful for some teams thanks to its ability to check the likes of Gourgeist-L and Persian. If Shift Gear is used, then 116 Speed EVs are optimal for outspeeding Galarian Mr. Mime after a boost.

Klang fits best on balance teams thanks to the excellent set of resistances and the sheer bulk that it provides their defensive cores. Use Klang to check threats like Mr. Mime, Choice Scarf Galarian Mr. Mime, Glalie, and Silvally-Ice. Pokemon that appreciate these Pokemon being checked, like Vullaby, Gourgeist-L, and Machoke, are all good teammates. Volt Switch Klang pairs well with powerful wallbreakers like Whiscash, Pikachu, Fraxure, and Trevenant, as it can use the slow pivot to get these Pokemon in safely. Knock Off absorbers like Rocky Helmet Shiinotic and Corsola are good to have, as Klang loses much of its bulk if its Eviolite is removed. Due to Klang's Fighting weakness, teammates such as Shiinotic, Gourgeist-L, and Mr. Mime are good partners as well.

Shift Gear Klang looks to act as a late-game sweeper. Wild Charge is used to hit Water-types like Wartortle while hitting Vullaby and Vespiquen harder and more accurately. Toxic is also viable, as it allows Klang to wear down Pokemon that it can't get past, such as Pyukumuku, Torracat, and Shedinja. Substitute can be used to take advantage of certain Pokemon, like Shiinotic, Ivysaur, and Charjabug, and set up on them. Magnet Rise, on the other hand, allows Klang to dodge Ground-type attacks and set up on Pokemon such as Hippopotas and Palpitoad. 116 Speed EVs are used to outrun Galarian Mr. Mime and Galarian Linoone after one Shift Gear. 180 Speed EVs can be run to outpace Persian and Swoobat after one Shift Gear, but the drop in bulk is noticeable.

Klang should be treated as a late-game sweeper with this set. While it's its bulk is impressive, the lack of any sort of recovery should dissuade you from using it as a consistent check to threats such as Galarian Mr. Mime and Lunatone. As such, alternative checks to these threats, such as Dusclops and Oranguru, are appreciated. Powerful Grass-types, most notably Gourgeist-L but also options such as Leafeon and Ivysaur, can be used to soften up Pokemon that deal with Klang, such as Palpitoad and Hippopotas. Powerful wallbreakers, such as Machoke, Beheeyem, and Galarian Mr. Mime, can also work in this regard. Crippling them via another teammate's Toxic is another option, with Pokemon such as Dusclops and Corsola being good users of the move.

RestTalk Klang is a key defensive Pokemon in the Metagame, as it uses its great Eviolite bolstered bulk and typing deals with several of the tiers most threatening Pokemon, including Silvally-Ice, Belly Drum Eiscue Mr Mime, and Lunatone (reversal after a BD and at 25% 1hkos klang, meaning klang can’t switch in to check it if it BDs into Sub with Ice Face still intact. I moved this as an example for the physdef mention i added below). Rest and Sleep Talk are used to give Klang a form of reliable recovery while not being completely dead weight while asleep. Gear Grind is a very useful Steel-type STAB move, as hitting twice allows Klang to mess with Eiscue and potentially break Substitutes (stab move fluff, already implied + eiscue no longer an example). Volt Switch is the preferred option in the last slot, as it allows Klang to slowly pivot into its teammates and dodge potentially poor matchups. Shift Gear is another option that turns RestTalk Klang into a bulky late game sweeper that can continue to boost even when asleep. Finally, Toxic can be used to punish Pokemon like Whiscash and Wartortle that might look to set up on Klang. Special Defense investment is preferred, as Klang needs it to adequately check threats like Wartortle and Galarian Mr. Mine, while its physical bulk is still good enought to check Eiscue and Silvally-Ice a physically defensive set is viable for checking threats like Belly Drum Esicue and Farfetch’d (see above. Physdef klang is niche but worthwhile in some cases so should be a mention). Clear Body is the preferred ability to prevent Intimidate users from weakening Gear Grind. Eviolite is the necessary item, as it is what gives Klang its excellent bulk. (Fluff. Clear body is the only viable ability for it, and eviolite on an nfe is also needs no justification)

Klang fits best on balance teams thanks to the excellent set of resistances and the sheer bulk that it provides their defensive cores. Use Klang to check threats like Choice Scarf Galarian Mr. Mime, Mr. Mime, Eiscue, and Silvally-Ice. Pokemon that appreciate these Pokemon being checked, like Gloom, Gourgeist-L, and Machoke are all viable pairings with Klang as a result. Volt Switch Klang pairs well with powerful breakers like Whiscash, Machoke, Gourgeist-L, and Octillery, as it can use the slow pivot to get these Pokemon in safely (you already mentioned machoke/gourg as good teammates; maybe change one to marractus or fetch). Shift Gear variants should look to check the aforementioned Pokemon while also acting as a wincon, so do your best to consistently keep Klang healthy if it looks to be threatening in the specific matchup. Knock Off from the likes of Persian, Maractus, and Galarian Linoone should be avoided, as Klang loses much of its bulk if its Eviolite is removed; pair it with physical walls that punish these users like Rocky Helmet Shiintic and Corsola. (You mentioned defensive cores earlier and i thought this would be a good example to include some + shows off how to punish knock off in the tier)

Shift Gear Klang looks to act as an offensive approach to sweeping late game. Wild Charge is used to hit Water-types like Wartortle and Frillish while providing a harder, more accurate hit onto Vullaby and Natu. (Mention Toxic over Wild Change is a viable tactic to wear down targets it can’t break normally like Pyuk, Whiscash, Torracat, and Shedninja to outstall with Sub / put them in gear grind KO ranges) Substitute can be used to take advantage of certain Pokemon, like Gloom, Ivysaur, and Frillish, and set up on them. Magnet Rise, on the other hand, allows Klang to dodge Ground-type attacks and set up on Pokemon such as Mudbray and Sudowoodo. 116 Speed EVs are used to outrun Galarian Mr. Mime and Galarian Linoone after one Shift Gear, while also outrunning their respective Speed Boosting sets (Toxic Orb for Galarian Linoone, in particular) after two Shift Gears. 180 Speed EVs can be run to outpace Persian after one Shift Gear, but the drop in bulk is noticeable. Clear Body is preferred so Intimidate from the likes of Krokorok and Torracat do not weaken Klang's attacks. Eviolite is preferred, as the bulk provided by it makes it easier for Klang to set up and still provides it with good general bulk. (Fluff, see above)

Klang should be treated as a late-game sweeper with this set. While it's bulk is impressive, the lack of any sort of recovery should dissuade you from using it as a consistent check to threats such as Galarian Mr. Mime and Lunatone. As such, alternative checks to these threats, such as Cufant Dusclops or Wartortle, is appreciated (two monosteel types on a team sounds troublesome, and clops is more relevant as a special wall). Rather, save it for the late game and prepare the field for it to sweep. Pokemon that wall Klang, such as Whiscash, Palpitoad, or Pokemon that can take a hit and neutralize the threat via phazing or status, such as Hippopotas, should be taken care of before Klang is sent out to sweep (hippo also walls klang tho, so try and reword this part to walls and phazers. On a second read, maybe change to “or” to “and”? Also hippo has no status that effects klang, and with sub it’s not that much of a victim to status in general so remove that altogether.). Klang should attempt to accrue multiple Shift Gears if it can, as its power and added speed make it much more difficult to handle. It can do this using Substitute in front of passive Pokemon such as Frillish or Gloom.

[SET COMMENTS]
Choice Specs Klang is used as a surprisingly powerful wallbreaker that lures in physical walls like Hippopotus and Corsola expecting to deal with its physical variants (this set luring in phys walls is its best appeal, cause you want to be nailing them with steel beam when they expect to try and stop shift gear). Steel Beam is absolutely nuclear and does a ton of damage to most neutral targets, but it comes at the cost of 50% of Klang's health like Ivysaur and Machoke (the part i removed was fluff for just stating the move’s description, and I added targets klang pressures / for the other two may switch in on it expecting it to be physical) Flash Cannon is a safer option that doesn't damage Klang itself, but this comes at a cost of a 50% power cut, making it significantly worse at breaking (keeping this here because this set is a good example of why you’d list two of the same type stabs in the analysis ti explain their individual uses). Volt Switch allows Klang to damage Wartortle and Frillish while pivoting out. Discharge gives Klang a stronger Electric-type move that also comes with a helpful Paralysis chance. Power Gem, on the other hand, can be used to hit certain Pokemon, like Dartrix, hard without having to use Steel Beam, and it also prevents Shedinja from completely walling Klang. Choice Specs and a Modest Nature are required to give Klang the power it needs to effectively wallbreak. Clear Body is stil the preferred ability, as Klang's other abilities are useless and Clear Body can come in handy against the odd Sticky Web team and Special Attack drop from moves like Moonblast. (Fluff see above)

Choice Specs Klang should see signifigant early game play in order to wallbreak early on. Late game cleaners such as Whiscash, Swords Dance Silvally-Ice, and Wartortle appreciate Klang smashing through the walls that they do not want to face. Be careful when using Steel Beam, as Klang will use 50% of its health if it uses it. Using it at the wrong time can result in Klang losing health for very little gain. B and be sure to potentially take advantage of potential Steel Beam switch ins; they Pykumuku and Cufant will likely be drawn in by Klang, so Volt Switching out to an answer or just double switching can be a good play in these scenarios (I erased fluff to get to the usage tip, added examples that can tank steel beam while expecting to phaze out physical klang). A good defensive backbone is nice to have when using Choice Specs Klang as well. Extra switch ins to Pokemon like Eiscue and Silvally-Ice are necessary, as Choice Specs Klang is not a good defensive answer to them. This can take the form of a bulky Wartortle set or Frillish. Wartortle can also provide Rapid Spin support, which makes Klang harder to wear down. In addition, your own hazard layers, such as Lunatone, Cufant, or Onix can make Klang even tougher to consistently switch into (not sure about the “constant” part as this set’s main advantage is as a lure that also KOs itself; maybe replace the last part with mons that get 2HKOd by flash cannon after hazards so that klang isn’t forced to KO itself as well with steel beam. Vullaby and fast Machoke come to mind)

QC 1/2! Long analysis and a lot of great work. In the future, stab moves/abilities/spreads/items that are obvious to the set don’t need any writing for them. I took out a lot of fluff as you’ll see on this matter. Clear Body and Eviolite are inherent for the first sets and have no competition worth distinguishing them from, and thus don’t need any mentions in the writing. However, I did keep the steel beam + flash cannon points as I thought it was worthwhile to explain why Klang runs two of the same type STAB moves; use your discretion in cases like these on why you’d include writing about STABs and the such. Thanks again for writing :)

Substitute can be used to take advantage of certain Pokemon, like Gloom, Ivysaur, and Frillish, and set up on them. Magnet Rise, on the other hand, allows Klang to dodge Ground-type attacks and set up on Pokemon such as Mudbray and Sudowoodo. 116 Speed EVs are used to outrun Galarian Mr. Mime and Galarian Linoone after one Shift Gear. 180 Speed EVs can be run to outpace Persian after one Shift Gear, but the drop in bulk is noticeable.

Klang should be treated as a late game sweeper with this set. While it's bulk is impressive, the lack of any sort of recovery should dissuade you from using it as a consistent check to threats such as Galarian Mr. Mime and Lunatone. As such, alternative checks to these threats, such as Dusclops or Oranguru, is appreciated. Powerful Grass-types, most notably such as Gourgeist-L, but also options such as Maractus and Ivysaur, can be used to soften up Pokemon that deal with Klang, such as Palpitoad and Hippopotas (fluff). A generally Powerful wallbreakers, such as Machoke, Beartic, or Galarian Mr. Mime, can also work in this regard. Crippling them via another teammates Toxic is another option, with Pokemon such as Dusclops and Shiinotic (I'd mention Corsola or Palpitoad, since Shii isnt always running Toxic) being capable of running the move, but Klang can also slap it on itself if it needs to. (Also mentioned before)

RestTalk Klang is a key defensive Pokemon in the Metagame metagame, as it uses its great Eviolite bolstered Eviolite-boosted bulk and typing deals to deal with several of the tiers tier's most threatening Pokemon, including Silvally-Ice, Mr. Mime, and Lunatone. Volt Switch, coupled with its below average speed Speed stat, allows Klang to bring its teammates in safely. Finally, (not final) Toxic can be used to punish Pokemon such as Palpitoad, Whiscash, and Carkol that might look to take advantage of Klang. Shift Gear is another option that turns RestTalk Klang into a bulky late game late-game sweeper, but it loses out on much of its utility. Special Defense investment is preferred, as Klang needs it to adequately check threats like Wartortle and Galarian Mr. Mine Mime, but a Physically Defensive physically defensive spread is useful for some teams thanks to its ability to check the likes of Gourgeist-L and Persian. If Shift Gear is ran used, then 116 Speed EVs are optimal for outspeeding Galarian Mr. Mime after a boost.

Klang fits best on balance teams thanks to the excellent set of resistances and the sheer bulk that it provides their defensive cores. Use Klang to check threats like Mr. Mime, Choice Scarf Galarian Mr. Mime, Mr. Mime, Glalie, and Silvally-Ice. Pokemon that appreciate these Pokemon being checked, like Vullaby, Gourgeist-L, and Machoke, (AC) are all good teammates. Volt Switch Klang pairs well with powerful breakers wallbreakers like Whiscash, Pikachu, Fraxure, and Trevenant, as it can use the slow pivot to get these Pokemon in safely. Knock Off absorbers like Rocky Helmet Shiinotic and Corsola are good to have, as Klang loses much of its bulk if its Eviolite is Knocked Off removed. Due to Klang's Fighting weakness, teammates such as Shiinotic, Gourgeist-L, and Mr. Mime are good partners as well.
