Moves
========

Clanging Scales is Kommo-o's strongest STAB move and allows it to unleash Clangorous Soulblaze. After the omniboost, Clanging Scales becomes a much more potent threat that is capable of breaking down many walls such as Toxapex and Mega Venusaur with ease. Additionally, its sound-based properties allow it to damage Pokemon such as Suicune through their Substitutes. Drain Punchenables Kommo-o to recover its health as well as Normal- and Steel-types such as Chansey and Heatran. Flamethrower is great coverage against Steel-types such as Celesteela and Mega Scizor that are neutral to Kommo-o's Fighting-type STAB moves. Taunt prevents foes such as Hippowdon and Toxapex from removing its stat boosts through phazing or Haze.

Set Details
========

Maximum investment in Special Attack and Speed when paired with a Naive nature allows Kommo-o to hit as hard and fast as possible. At +1 Speed, Kommo-o can outspeed foes such as Mega Lopunny and Zeraora. Soundproof is used to prevent opposing Kommo-o from using Clangorous Soulblaze themselves, as well as Ditto from utilizing Clanging Scales after copying Kommo-o's boosts. It also has smaller merits by making Kommo-o immune to Azumarill's Perish Song and Mega Gardevoir's Hyper Voice. Kommonium Z is used in combination with Clanging Scales in order to use Kommo-o's exclusive Z-Move, Clangorous Soulblaze.

Usage Tips
========

Kommo-o should only use Clangorous Soulblaze in safe situations, such as on a guaranteed KO or a forced switch. For example, the latter situation can occur when it safely switches into moves that it resists, such as against Victini Choice-locked into V-create. Kommo-o is key versus Steel teams, a type that Dragon teams would traditionally struggle with, as the combination of Clangorous Soulblaze, Drain Punch, and Flamethrower may outright sweep them under the right conditions. It should also be kept healthy versus opposing Dragon teams, as Kommo-o can halt opposing Kommo-o from using Clanging Scales and Clangorous Soulblaze through Soundproof while also being able to set up and sweep them if they lack Mega Altaria or Choice Scarf Latios. Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze against Ditto, opposing Kommo-o, or Fairy-types, as they can block the attack through their attained Soundproof or their Dragon immunity. While Clanging Scales is a powerful move, keep in mind the Defense drops Kommo-o will get, as too many drops can grant physical priority users such as Dragonite and Weavile opportunities to chip away at its health. Against Haze users and phazers such as Mantine and Hippowdon, Kommo-o should use Taunt first to ensure that it doesn't lose its omniboost. However, be mindful of Z-Haze Toxapex in particular, which can prevent Kommo-o from utilizing its omniboost regardless of if it's Taunted. Because Kommo-o serves as a powerful setup sweeper, it should be preserved as much as possible in order to successfully sweep teams. It should also avoid status at all costs, especially paralysis, as this severely hampers its ability to function as a setup sweeper. Using Taunt against known status inducers such as Jirachi and Porygon2 helps to shut them down.

Team Options
========

Kyurem-B assists Kommo-o by checking opposing Dragon-types such as Mega Altaria and Dragonite, checking other threatening foes such as Azumarill, and providing it with an Ice-type neutrality, which helps against foes such as Greninja and Nidoking. Dragonite uses its powerful offensive coverage to blow past common defensive walls such as Toxapex and Mega Venusaur, and it can also threaten to finish off faster foes with Extreme Speed such as Greninja and Mega Lopunny for unboosted Kommo-o. Choice Scarf Latios partners well with Kommo-o by checking faster Pokemon such as Greninja and Kyurem-B. It also has additional utility as a consistent Defogger, which helps to prevent entry hazards from chipping away Kommo-o, and can utilize Trick to cripple bulkier foes such as Porygon2 and Zapdos, which permits Kommo-o to set up and sweep more easily. Choice Scarf Latias can be used as an alternative for Latios by acting as a bulkier Defogger and carrying better utility options in general. In return, Kommo-o provides the ability to heavily threaten Steel-types, which Latias greatly appreciates. Garchomp provides Stealth Rock support and chips away at foes such as Dragonite and Gyarados, putting them in range of Kommo-o's attacks. Mega Altaria is a critical teammate against opposing Dragon teams, as it becomes immune to Dragon-type moves upon Mega Evolving and can threaten them through its Pixilate-boosted attacks, and it can also take on Kommo-o's other checks such as Mega Gallade. Additionally, it can also be a utility teammate through the use of Defog and Heal Bell, which can grant Kommo-o safer opportunities to set up. Hydreigon helps Kommo-o against Psychic teams that would otherwise threaten it, whether it be through firing off Dark Pulse or pivoting out with U-turn to keep up offensive momentum. Dragalge, while a niche pick, assists Kommo-o by providing coverage against threatening Fairy-types such as Mega Diancie and Tapu Koko and setting Toxic Spikes to help against bulkier foes such as Azumarill and Porygon2.

- Close Combat imo is not great on this set, suppose to be a steel killer but close combat makes it easier to revenge kill from pokemon like scizor, excadrill, etc. while also not giving it as much longetivity as it should have, especially with Taunt

*Clanging Scales is Kommo-o's strongest STAB move and allows it to unleash Clangorous Soulblaze. Additionally, its sound-based properties allow it to damage Pokemon such as Suicune through their Substitutes.
*Drain Punch is a solid Fighting-type STAB move for Kommo-o, as it's able to recover its health while also being able to threaten Normal and Steel-types such as Chansey and Stakataka Heatran.
- give a different example like heatran, cant remember the last time stakataka was actually used

*Close Combat is a stronger alternative to Drain Punch which can deal more damage to foes such as Heatran and Porygon2, but comes at the cost of lowering its defenses.
- explained above why i think cc doesnt belong on this set

*Flamethrower is great coverage against Steel-types such as Celesteela and Mega Scizor which are neutral to Kommo-o's Fighting-type STAB moves.
*Taunt prevents foes such as Hippowdon and Toxapex from removing its stat boosts through phazing or Haze.

Set Details

*Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze against Ditto, opposing Kommo-o, or Fairy-types as they can block the attack through their attained Soundproof and their Dragon immunity respectively.

*Against Haze users and phasers such as Mantine and Hippowdon, Kommo-o should use Taunt first to ensure that it doesn't lose its omniboost.
*Because Kommo-o serves as a powerful setup sweeper, it should be preserved as much as possible in order to successfully sweep teams.

Team Options
========

*Kyurem-B assists Kommo-o by checking opposing Dragon-types such as Mega Altaria and Dragonite, while also providing it with an Ice-type neutrality which helps against foes such as Greninja and Nidoking.
- a ton of ur team options below focus on helping it beat dragon, kyurem-b helps it take on more. its moves are unresisted together and it can take on Pokemon such as Azumarill for Kommo-o. this is all optional, just to make the usage tips a bit more diverse than it beats dragon 5 times over.

*Dragonite uses its powerful offensive coverage to blow past common defensive walls such as Toxapex and Mega Venusaur, and can also threaten to kill faster foes with Extreme Speed such as Greninja and Mega Lopunny for unboosted Kommo-o.
- moved dragonite up higher in team options

*Choice Scarf Latios partners well with Kommo-o by being able to check faster Dragon-types such as Hydreigon and Kyurem-B. It also has additional utility by being a consistent Defogger and can utilize Trick to cripple bulkier foes such as Porygon2 and Zapdos, which permits Kommo-o to set up and sweep easier.
*Choice Scarf Latias can be used as an alternative for Latios, acting as a bulkier Defogger that also provides Healing Wish support which grants Kommo-o extra longevity if it's weakened early.
*Garchomp provides Stealth Rock support which chips foes that typically don't utilize a recovery option, such as Dragonite and Gyarados.
- worded weirdly, rephrase

*Mega Altaria is a critical teammate against opposing Dragon teams as it becomes immune to Dragon-type moves upon Mega Evolving and can threaten them through its Pixilate boosted attacks, and can also threaten Kommo-o's other checks such as Mega Gallade. Additionally, it can also be a utility teammate through the use of Defog and Heal Bell, which can grant Kommo-o safer opportunities to set up.
*Hydreigon helps Kommo-o against Psychic teams that would otherwise threaten it, whether it be through firing off Dark Pulse or pivoting out with U-turn to keep up offensive momentum.

*its a more lesser used option but i really think dragalge could be talked about because its good against fairy, pretty much the only mu where kommo o can't fire off its z move, and it can also absorb t spikes which annoy kommo o.

*for the checks and counters, maybe say something about taunt blocking the common hazers. i think thats pretty noteworthy

I thought we were revamping this :S

Moves:
- Note that Clanging Scales is strong enough to beat many walls including Toxapex and Mega Venusaur after boosting.

Usage Tips:
- Fake Out on Mega Lopunny isn't really notable enough to go here. Probably could point out that you would be able to revenge kill Kommo-o with stuff like Mega Swampert and Excadrill under their respective weather if Kommo-o uses Clanging Scales enough.
- I would 1000% talk about the Steel matchup, which is perhaps the most important matchup Kommo-o is used for.
- It's probably worth having a tip about scouting for Z-Haze Toxapex primarily on Poison teams while you're getting ready for the Kommo-o sweep. It would really suck to Taunt a Toxapex and see all your boosts disappear.
- Could bring up the Dragon matchup too, tbh. Since Kommo-o is really strong against teams that lack Choice Scarf Latios, which have been popping up more and more lately.

Team Options:
- Healing Wish honestly is kinda meh for Kommo-o. It's way too weak to do much before boosting, and if you switch out after boosting, you're again too weak to really do anything.
