[OVERVIEW]

Dragon
========

Kommo-o is one of Dragon's best setup sweepers due to its custom omni-boosting Z-Move Clangorous Soulblaze, great STAB combination in Dragon and Fighting, and very solid coverage options, which is especially helpful against types that Dragon would normally struggle breaking, such as Normal, Steel, Rock, and Ice. Because Kommo-o has such an expansive movepool, it can function as either a physical or special setup sweeper, making its moveset harder to predict at Team Preview. Kommo-o's defensive stats are just as solid as its offensive stats, often allowing it to take most hits before proceeding to use its Z-Move against teams that lack a Fairy-type Pokemon. It can usually set up on slower presences on types like Fire, Steel, and Bug, with examples being Heatran and Armaldo, respectively. With a Fighting-type STAB move in Close Combat, Kommo-o assists Dragon in breaking past bulkier cores such as Chansey + Porygon2, which is rather handy considering that Dragon teams do not have a Knock Off user that can remove the Eviolites from both of them. Solid coverage options like Flash Cannon, Flamethrower, and Poison Jab help in checking Fairy- and Steel-types that Dragon-types would normally struggle to break, like Clefable, Mega Diancie, and Mega Scizor. Kommo-o's unique typing provides extra resistances to Bug- and Rock-type moves, as no other Dragon-type resists Bug-type moves such as Scizor's U-turn, and Garchomp is the only Dragon-type besides Kommo-o that resists Rock-type moves, like Tyranitar's Stone Edge. However, Kommo-o's unique typing, while beneficial, also makes it weak to more common typings in the tier such as Fairy and Psychic, which comes with offensive threats like Mew, Mega Diancie, and Mega Gardevoir. Fairy-types in general hinder Kommo-o in the sense that they resist or are immune to both of its STAB types, prevent Kommo-o from using its custom Z-Move, and can all OHKO Kommo-o if they have a STAB move. Furthermore, Kommo-o's Speed is rather lackluster compared to most other Dragon-types, at base 85, leaving Kommo-o vulnerable to faster setup sweepers like Porygon-Z and Mega Charizard X before a Speed boost and Choice Scarf users such as Greninja and Latios after. Because Kommo-o heavily relies on its Z-Move to act as a setup sweeper, it rarely uses any other item besides Kommonium Z.

Moves
========

Clanging Scales is Kommo-o's most reliable STAB move and is required to use Clangorous Soulblaze, Kommo-o's custom Z-Move. Clanging Scales also allows Kommo-o to damage Pokemon such as Suicune through their Substitutes. Close Combat helps Dragon teams check bulky Steel- and Normal-types, such as Heatran, Chansey, Stakataka, and Porygon2. Flamethrower is used against Steel-types that are neutral to Close Combat, such as Skarmory and Mega Scizor. Flash Cannon acts as an important move that allows Kommo-o to threaten and soft check slower Rock- and Fairy-types like Clefable and Armaldo.

Set Details
========

Maximum investment in Special Attack and Speed allows Kommo-o to hit as hard as possible with its powerful attacks while being as fast as possible. The remaining 4 EVs are placed into Attack to slightly boost the power of Close Combat. A Naive nature allows Kommo-o to naturally outspeed Mamoswine, Buzzwole, and Heatran, and at +1 Speed, it can outspeed the likes of Mega Lopunny and Mega Aerodactyl. Soundproof is used primarily to prevent opposing Kommo-o from using Clangorous Soulblaze, and it also prevents Ditto from utilizing Clanging Scales after copying Kommo-o's boosts. However, it also has smaller merits in being unaffected by Volcarona's Bug Buzz, Mega Gardevoir's Hyper Voice, and Azumarill's Perish Song. Kommonium Z is the required Z-Crystal in order to use Clangorous Soulblaze and gain a boost in each stat.

Usage Tips
========

Use Clangorous Soulblaze only in situations where you know that it will be safe to use, such as picking up a KO or in situations where you can force the opponent to switch, with one example being when the foe is Choice locked into a move that Kommo-o resists like Dark Pulse from Greninja or V-create from Victini. It can also be used against foes that are solely a utility role to opposing teams, such as Forretress. As long as they do not carry a status-inflicting move such as Thunder Wave, then it is usually safe to launch Clangorous Soulblaze. Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze against opposing Kommo-o and Ditto, as they become immune to it because of Soundproof, and in turn, Kommo-o won't receive stat boosts. Also, avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze when the opponent has a Fairy-type, such as Azumarill on Water or Mega Diancie on Rock, as they can easily switch into the move and prevent any potential stat boosts. Be cautious of the drops to Kommo-o's defenses that it suffers from using its STAB moves; overusage of Kommo-o's STAB moves will leave it vulnerable to faster physical attackers as well as priority users that will take advantage of Kommo-o's lowered Defense stat such as Diggersby and Dragonite. Conserve Kommo-o by taking as little damage from entry hazards as possible, especially against Ice and Normal teams, where it is your primary wincon. Avoid status conditions as much as possible, especially paralysis, as Kommo-o's Speed is needed in order to function as a setup sweeper. Also, be wary of Haze users like Mantine as well as phazers like Hippowdon when Kommo-o has set up, as they get rid of Kommo-o's boosts and turn it into much less of a threat. Kommo-o is very difficult to set up with against Normal teams, as priority moves from Diggersby and Mega Lopunny chip away at it, Staraptor disrupts the power of Close Combat by lowering Kommo-o's Attack, Chansey walls all of Kommo-o's special options, and Ditto can utilize Kommo-o's omniboost against it and its teammates. By removing offensive threats in Diggersby, Mega Lopunny, and Ditto, Kommo-o is able to set up and sweep against Normal teams much more easily and safely.

Team Options
========

Choice Scarf Latios is an ideal partner, as it acts as Dragon's main form of keeping faster foes such as Hydreigon and opposing Latios in check. It is also a consistent Defogger that can threaten bulkier walls that Kommo-o can't easily break even after setting up, such as Toxapex. Kyurem-B checks Dragon-types like Mega Altaria and Flying-types like Landorus-T while also providing a neutrality to Ice-type moves that Kommo-o appreciates. In return, Kommo-o covers Kyurem-B's crippling Steel-type weakness. Garchomp provides Stealth Rock support, which allows Kommo-o to sweep teams more easily by providing solid chip damage to Pokemon that have the capacity to threaten Kommo-o offensively, such as Mega Pinsir, Volcarona, and Kingdra. Garchomp's Stealth Rock can also break a foe's Focus Sash or Sturdy as well as put foes in range of a KO from one of Kommo-o's attacks. Dragonite is another of Dragon's wallbreakers, being able to fire off a powerful Choice Band-boosted Outrage while also having Dragon's best priority move in Extreme Speed that can revenge kill faster threats such as Greninja. Hydreigon helps Kommo-o against Psychic teams that would otherwise threaten it, whether it be through firing off Dark Pulse or pivoting out with U-turn to keep up offensive momentum. In return, Kommo-o helps to check Bug-type Choice Scarf users such as Heracross and Buzzwole that would otherwise force Hydreigon out. Latias can be used as a substitute for Latios, acting as a bulkier Defogger that also provides Healing Wish support, granting Kommo-o extra longevity if it's weakened early. By doing so, Kommo-o can be given more opportunities to set up against the opposing team and sweep them, especially late-game. In return, Kommo-o helps to eliminate Dark-types outside of Mega Sableye. Mega Latias provides support by helping to break down bulkier special walls more reliably, notably Celesteela and Mantine. It also heavily aids in the Normal matchup by setting up with Calm Minds on Staraptor and Porygon2, recoveirng off any damage, and breaking down the defensive backbone of Normal teams through Stored Power. Mega Altaria is another key teammate, providing an immunity to opposing Dragon-types and firing back with a Pixilate-boosted Return. It also threatens Dark-types like Mega Sableye that are immune to Kommo-o's Fighting-type STAB option as well as Psychic-types such as Mega Gallade that naturally pressure Kommo-o, and it can also set up with Dragon Dance to be able to threaten Normal-types such as Chansey and Mega Lopunny. In return, Kommo-o helps break down Steel-types such as Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor.

Moves
========

Clanging Scales is used to gain the stat boosts from Clangorous Soulblaze. Its solid special power also allows it to break down physically defensive foes such as Avalugg, Pelipper, and Landorus-T. Dragon Dance amplifies Kommo-o's offensive presence by boosting both its Attack and Speed stats. Boosting both of these stats not only allows Kommo-o to function better as a setup sweeper without having to utilize Clangorous Soulblaze prematurely but can also help to check offensive threats like Greninja, which would be harder to handle otherwise. Close Combat is Kommo-o's best physical STAB move, being able to break down bulky walls such as Ferrothorn, Porygon2, and Cradily. Earthquake acts as a coverage option against other foes that don't resist it, namely Victini, Jirachi, Klefki, and Toxapex. Poison Jab hits Fairy-types that resist both of Kommo-o's STAB moves, namely Tapu Koko, Tapu Bulu, and Azumarill.

Set Details
========

Maximum investment in Attack allows Kommo-o to maximize its physical power at base value. Maximum investment in Speed paired with a Naive nature allow Kommo-o to Speed tie with other base 85 Speed foes, such as Nidoking and Heracross, and to outspeed Mega Lopunny and Mega Alakazam at +1. Kommonium Z is required in order to use Clangorous Soulblaze, which allows Kommo-o to receive its stat boosts. Soundproof is used primarily to prevent opposing Kommo-o from using Clangorous Soulblaze and also prevent Ditto from utilizing Clanging Scales after copying Kommo-o's boosts.

Usage Tips
========

Dragon Dance Kommo-o primarily assists Dragon teams against Normal teams, as its Fighting-type STAB move is extremely beneficial for breaking down Normal teams' notorious defensive backbone. In these cases, use Dragon Dance in the face of Chansey, as it forces the opponent into a defensive option while also providing Kommo-o with a free turn of setup. Never use Clangorous Soulblaze too early unless the matchup is heavily skewed in Dragon's favor, such as against Fire and Grass teams. Otherwise, you must find opportunities to use Clangorous Soulblaze safely, such as when the foe is weakened or Choice-locked into a move that Kommo-o resists. Instances of these cases include using Clangorous Soulblaze on Greninja that's Choice-locked into Dark Pulse or Victini that's Choice-locked into V-create. Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze against opposing Kommo-o and Ditto, as they become immune to it because of Soundproof, and in turn, Kommo-o won't receive stat boosts. Also, avoid using the Z-Move against healthy Fairy-types, such as Tapu Bulu on Grass and Mimikyu on Ghost, as they can easily switch into the move and prevent any potential stat boost. Use Dragon Dance in situations where Kommo-o faces a Pokemon with mainly utility options, such as Ferrothorn or Forretress. These kinds of foes typically do not run a status-inducing move and therefore make it safer to apply offensive pressure to the foes while taking minimal damage from their attacks. Physical Kommo-o can't take a chance at sweeping teams if it is statused, so avoid taking hits that could inflict those conditions, such as Scald, Discharge, and Sludge Bomb. By removing foes such as Mega Pinsir on Bug teams, Toxapex and Mantine on Water teams, and Ditto and Staraptor on Normal teams, it becomes much easier for Kommo-o to act as a very deadly late-game sweeper through setting up with Dragon Dance or utilizing its Z-Move, as the opponent would have no clear way to prevent it at this point.

Team Options
========

Latias is a fantastic partner for Kommo-o, being able to Defog entry hazards away and provide Healing Wish support to give Kommo-o a second chance at sweeping teams if it ever is weakened. Mega Latias overall has great bulk that it can use to sponge hits for Kommo-o and can also recover off the damage through Roost. Latios provides similar assistance by also removing hazards with Defog. Unlike Latias, however, Latios takes a more offensive approach to Kommo-o's setup by hindering walls and utility Pokemon with Trick and also using Memento on offensive powerhouses such as Excadrill and Blacephalon, decreasing the damage Kommo-o takes and enabling Kommo-o to set up more reliably while also threatening to remove an offensive presence. Kyurem-B offers a neutrality to Ice that all Dragon-types appreciate and also threatens physically defensive foes that Kommo-o can't break as easily, such as Skarmory and Zapdos. Hydreigon checks offensive Psychic-types that would otherwise threaten Kommo-o, such as Mew and Alakazam. Garchomp provides Stealth Rock support that breaks Sturdy and Focus Sashes on Pokemon like Skarmory, Gengar, and Dugtrio and provides valuable chip damage against foes that typically don't utilize a recovery option, such as Dragonite and Gyarados. Stealth Rock also provides residual damage that can put foes in range of a KO from Kommo-o, which is especially useful in late-game scenarios. Mega Altaria provides a Dragon immunity with its additional Fairy typing and can force Choice-locked Dragon-types like Latios and Hydreigon out.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Earthquake on mixed Kommo-o is an option that would be used in tandem with Close Combat and Flamethrower to very heavily pressure Steel teams. It also checks Toxapex in a one-on-one scenario, but this isn't as necessary considering that teammates like Latios, Kyurem-B, and Garchomp work as fine checks in their own right. Additionally, the combination of Scald burns and Haze eliminate any chances Kommo-o would have of breaking Toxapex with Earthquake at all. Drain Punch can act as a substitute to Close Combat on Dragon Dance variants of Kommo-o, as it exchanges power for reliable recovery without dropping its defenses. However, Drain Punch misses out on more potential 2HKOs, namely Porygon2 and Celesteela, due to its severe drop in power compared to Close Combat. Bulletproof can be used over Soundproof as a bluffing option, which would lure in opposing Ditto looking to block Clanging Scales or Clangorous Soulblaze, while also providing extra niche immunities to specific moves such as Sludge Bomb and Shadow Ball. However, these extra immunities aren't as valuable compared to what Soundproof offers, and they enable opposing Kommo-o and Ditto to take advantage of the lack of Soundproof once discovered.

Checks and Counters
===================

Dragon
--------

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types such as Tapu Koko and Mega Diancie can outspeed Kommo-o prior to it boosting with either Dragon Dance or Clangorous Soulblaze and immediately OHKO it while being immune to its Z-Move. Likewise, bulkier Fairy-types such as Klefki can also take advantage of Kommo-o by setting up dual screens and entry hazards or crippling it with Thunder Wave or Toxic.

**Mimikyu**: Mimikyu is especially threatening, as its unique typing makes it immune to both of Kommo-o's STAB moves, it protects itself from one offensive move due to Disguise, and it will immediately OHKO Kommo-o with Play Rough even through a Defense boost.

**Haze Users and Phazers**: Common Haze users like Toxapex and Mantine as well as bulky Whirlwind and Roar users like Hippowdon, Skarmory, and Swampert can force Kommo-o out, causing it to lose its stat boosts and softening its offensive pressure.

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-types like Alakazam, Latios, Latias, and Mega Gallade can take advantage of Kommo-o's lower Speed and heavily damage or even KO it with powerful Psychic moves.

**Faster Threats**: Choice Scarf users such as Greninja and Latios, opposing Dragon-types such as Mega Altaria and Hydreigon, or other setup sweepers like Mega Charizard X, Flyinium Z Landorus-T, and Mewnium Z Mew can threaten Kommo-o once they are set up. However, the latter usually must set up first before attacking and does not appreciate being hit by Kommo-o's powerful attacks.

**Status and Residual Damage**: Status conditions such as paralysis and burns greatly inhibit Kommo-o's ability to act as a setup sweeper, so avoid bulkier foes or Prankster users that can inflict these conditions, such as Sableye and Klefki. Also, any bit of residual damage from entry hazards or status set a timer on Kommo-o, and it must stay healthy in order to have the best possible chances at sweeping teams.

*With the addition of new moves such as Close Combat and Dragon Dance, as well as an exclusive Omni-Boosting Z-Move, ClangarousClangorous (fix it like this every time you mention it) Soulblaze, Kommo-o is now one of Dragon's best setup sweepers. You need to rephrase this, don't refer to stuff as "the addition - or - is now". Analyses refer to the current time, regardless of the previous generation or previous game (SM). Also, you can expand on how it acts as a setup sweeper and for what matchups that's useful against in particular.
*Kommo-o's newly expansive movepool allows it to be used as either a Physical or Special Setup Sweeper, making its moveset harder to predict at team preview. Again, remove newly.
*Having solid stats on both the offensive and defensive spectrum, Kommo-o can usually take most hits and proceed to use its Z-move. Give examples of attacks/Pokemon it can take on easily and setup on.
*With Fighting type STAB, Kommo-o assists Dragon in breaking past bulkier cores such as Chansey + Porygon2. Need to expand on why this is important for Dragon.
*Kommo-o's unique typing provides extra resistances to Bug and Rock type moves, but also is weak to more common typings in the tier such as Flying and Psychic. Change to Fairy and Psychic - Flying-type STAB is not that common.
*Kommo-o often struggles against Fairy types, that not only resist its main STAB, but also prevent Kommo-o from using its custom Z-move.
*Kommo-o is slower than many other Dragon types, and leaves itself vulnerable to faster revenge killers such as Greninja, Latios, and Tapu Koko. This phrasing doesn't make sense since you say it's slower than Dragon-types then talk about 2 non-dragons. Talk more generally about its Speed tier before and after +1.

*Clanging Scales is required to use Clangarous Soulblaze, Kommo-o's custom Z-move. It is also Kommo-o's most reliable STAB move that also finds additonal merit in bypassing common Substitute users such as Suicune.
*Close Combat helps Dragon check bulky Steel and Normal types, such as Heatran, Chansey, Stakataka and Porygon2.
*Flamethrower is used against Steel types that are neutral to Close Combat, or for those that punish Kommo-o if it did, such as Skarmory, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn. "Or those that punish Kommo-o if it did" is extremely vague, just be straight to the point.
*Flash Cannon acts as a filler move and soft check to slower Rock and Fairy types like Clefable and Armaldo. Don't just call something a filler move, if it's important coverage, state so.

Set Details
========

*Maximum Special Attack and Speed allows Kommo-o to hit as hard as possible, as fast as possible with Kommo-o's powerful attacks.
*The Remaining 4 EV's are placed into Attack to slightly boost the power of Close Combat.
*Rash Natured Kommo-o provides extra power to its special attacks, however, Naive Natured Kommo-o allows it to outspeed the likes of Mega Lopunny and Mega Aerodactyl at +1. Remove Rash, talk about what Naive enables it to outspeed unboosted and at +1.
*Soundproof is used primarily to prevent opposing Kommo-o from using Clangarous Soulblaze, and also prevents Ditto from utilizing Clanging Scales after copying Kommo-o's boosts. However, it also has smaller merits in being unaffected by Volcarona's Bug Buzz, Mega Gardevoir's Hyper Voice, and Perish Song Azumarill. This is just a phrasing thing, but for symmetry it should end as "and Azumarill's Perish Song"

Usage Tips
========

*Use Clangarous Soulblaze only in situations where you know that it will be safe to use, such as picking up a kill or in situations where you can force the opponent to switch, such as when the opponent is Choice locked into a move that Kommo-o resists. Examples of Choice-locked Pokemon you can take advantage of.
*Be cautious of the defense drops Kommo-o suffers; overusage of Clanging Scales/Close Combat will make you prone to faster physical/priority attackers that will take advantage of Kommo-o's lowered defense stat. Examples of such Pokemon?
*Conserve Kommo-o by taking as little from entry hazards as possible, especially against Ice and Normal teams where it is often considered the primary win condition. "Often considered the primary win condition" is vague, just be blunt in saying that it is your win condition.
*Avoid status conditions as much as possible, especially paralysis, where its speed is needed in order to function as a setup sweeper.
*Avoid using Clangarous Soulblaze against opposing Kommo-o and Ditto, as they become immune to it because of Soundproof, and in turn, you won't receive stat boosts.
*Haze/phaze users and how to play around them

Team Options
========

*Latios is an ideal partner, as it acts as Dragon's main form of Speed Control, is a consistent Defogger, and also threatens bulkier walls that Kommo-o can't easily break, such as Toxapex. Specify that it is Speed control with Choice Scarf and what Pokemon it removes for Kommo-o.
*Kyurem-Black is a staple on all Dragon teams, for not only being Dragon's best wallbreaker, but also provides an Ice type neutrality that Dragon teams greatly appreciate. This sounds like an overview point for a Kyurem-B (correct way to write it) analysis, you need to relate it back to Kommo-o.
*Garchomp provides Stealth Rock support and Rough Skin, useful for breaking Sturdy/Focus Sashes and allows Kommo-o to sweep teams easier. I don't think breaking Sturdy/Focus Sash with Rough Skin is super relevant, focus on how Stealth Rock chip damage support Kommo-o as a sweeper.
*Dragonite is another of Dragon's wallbreakers, being able to fire off a powerful Choice Banded Outrage while also having Dragon's best priority move in Extreme Speed that can revenge kill faster threats such as Greninja.
*Hydreigon helps Kommo-o against Psychic teams that would otherwise threaten it, whether it be through firing off Dark Pulses, or U-turning out to keep offensive momentum.
*Latias can be used as a substitute for Latios, acting as a bulkier Defogger that also provides Healing Wish support. Its Mega form also provides use in helping to break down bulkier special walls more reliably, notably Celesteela and Mantine. Talk about how Healing Wish gives more longevity for Kommo-o, allowing it to have more opportunities to set up later in the game if it takes damage throughout the battle.
*Mega Altaria is another key teammate, providing immunity to opposing Dragon types and firing back with a Pixilate Boosted Return/Frustration. Could expand on this probably, being a setup core together, what matchups does MAlt help with besides Dragon mirror?

*Earthquake acts as a coverage option against other opponents that don't resist it, namely Victini, Jirachi, Klefki, and Toxapex.
*Poison Jab and Iron Head are both used primarily to check Fairy types. Poison Jab better checks Tapu Bulu, Tapu Koko, and Azumarill, while also providing a chance to poison the foe. However, Iron Head hits Fairy and Rock types that are neutral to Poison Jab, such as Mega Diancie, Mimikyu, and Armaldo, while also providing a chance to flinch. Remove Iron Head.
*Dragon Dance amplifies Kommo-o's offensive output by boosting both its Attack and Speed stats. Expand on this. You're effectively running 2 setup moves, there's a lot more to be said here.

*You can also threaten the opponent with Kommo-o by putting it in a position to use Clangarous Soulblaze, and switch out to another teammate on a predicted switch-in. This is a super vague example. Generally "do a double switch" isn't a good tip because it is extremely situational and doesn't really provide the reader anything helpful.

This Kommo-o set doesn't really beat Skarmory regardless of Stealth Rock, could use a better example. Also talk about chip damage to weaken its checks and put them into KO range.
*Mega Altaria provides Dragon type Immunity with an additional Fairy typing, and can force Choice-locked Dragons like Latios and Hydreigon out.

Other Options

*Focus Blast can be opted for as a substitute to Close Combat because of its special power. It also allows you to use an ability that doesn't lower a defensive stat such as Timid or Modest. However, Focus Blast has more risk involved with a 30% chance to miss and also does not break as many walls that Close Combat would otherwise, such as Chansey and Celesteela.
*Earthquake on Mixed Kommo-o is an option that would be used to check Toxapex in a one-versus-one scenario, but isn't as necessary considering that teammates like Latios, Kyurem-Black and Garchomp work as fine checks on their own right. Additionally, the combination of Scald burns and Haze eliminate any chances Kommo-o would have of breaking Toxapex with Earthquake at all.
*Drain Punch can also act as a substitute to Close Combat, as it exchanges power for reliable recovery without dropping your defenses. However, Drain Punch misses out on more potential knockouts due to its severe drop in power compared to Close Combat. Examples of what it misses that're punishing?

-Fairy-Types : Fairy types such as Tapu Koko and Mega Diancie can outspeed Kommo-o at base value and immediately OHKO it, while being immune to its Z-move. Likewise, bulkier Fairies such as Klefki can also take advantage of Kommo-o to set up screens, hazards, and cripple it with Thunder Wave/Toxic.

-Mimikyu : Mimikyu is especially threatening, as its unique typing makes it immune to both of Kommo-o's STAB moves, protects itself from one offensive move due to Disguise and will immediately OHKO Kommo-o with Play Rough despite a Defense boost.

-Haze/Phazing : Common Haze users like Toxapex and Mantine, or bulky Whirlwind/Roar users like Hippowdon, Skarmory, and Swampert can force Kommo-o out of its stat boosts and soften its offensive pressure.

-Dragon-Types : Naturally faster Dragons like Garchomp, Kyurem-Black and Hydreigon immediately threaten Kommo-o with their Dragon STAB.

-Psychic-Types : Psychic types like Alakazam, Latios/Latias, and Mega Gallade can take advantage of Kommo-o's slower speed and cripple it with powerful Psychic moves.

-Faster Threats : Choice Scarf users such as Greninja and Latios, or other setup sweepers like Mega Charizard X, Flyinium Z Landorus-T, and Mewnium Z Mew can threaten Kommo-o once they are set up. However, the latter must usually set up first before attacking, and does not appreciate Kommo-o's powerful attacks.

-Residual Damage : Any bit of entry hazards or status damage set a timer on Kommo-o, and must stay healthy in order to have the best possible chances at sweeping teams.

**Status**: Burn and Paralysis

Checks and counters need to be written like this: **Fairy-types** (not true bold, and no dash) please adjust.
Cloud9 NxtLvl could you please implement then retag me to check again? I haven't changed that much but I want to make sure I didn't miss anything. Also could you change the following:
1) "Steel-types" not "Steel-Types or Steel types"
2) Clangorous not Clangarous
3) Make sure you capitalize all Pokemon, attacks, natures, stats (Speed), and items (you did nearly always). Other things shouldn't be capitalized such as "nature."

If you have any questions about anything like those above things, you could always check the grammar standard page in the main C&C section.

[OVERVIEW]

Dragon
========

*With moves such as Close Combat and Dragon Dance, as well as an exclusive Omni-Boosting Z-Move, Clangorous Soulblaze, Kommo-o is one of Dragon's best setup sweepers due to a nearly unresistable Z-move, great dual-STAB and very solid coverage options, which is especially helpful against types that Dragon would normally struggle with in breaking, such as Normal, Steel, Rock, and Ice.
*Kommo-o's expansive movepool allows it to be used as either a Physical or Special Setup Sweeper, making its moveset harder to predict at team preview.
*Having solid stats on both the offensive and defensive spectrum, Kommo-o can usually take most hits and proceed to use its Z-move against teams that don't commonly have a Fairy immunity to it, or one at all, such as Fire, Steel, and Bug. It can usually setup on slower presences on each of those types, being Torkoal, Armaldo, and Heatran respectively.
*With Fighting type STAB, Kommo-o assists Dragon in breaking past bulkier cores such as Chansey + Porygon2, considering that Dragon teams do not have a reliable Knock Off user that can take away the Eviolite's off of both of them, and often rely on Trick Latios/Latias to swap items with them.
*Kommo-o's unique typing provides extra resistances to Bug and Rock type moves, but also is weak to more common typings in the tier such as Fairy and Psychic. Expand on why a Bug and Rock resistance might be helpful, especially for its teammates. Then make its weaknesses a separate statement, with example of Pokemon from those types that threaten it (goes along with the below bullet)
*Kommo-o often struggles against Fairy-types, that not only resist its main STAB, but also prevent Kommo-o from using its custom Z-move. Probably mention how essentially every Fairy-type OHKOs Kommo-o if they have STAB
*Kommo-o is slower than many other common Dragon-types like Hydreigon and Latios, and those same Dragons can threaten Kommo-o even at +1 Speed, since both most likely carry a Choice Scarf. I think you misunderstood my previous QC. Instead of talking specifically about Dragon-types, I wanted you to talk about its Speed tier in general and how its middling Speed leaves it vulnerable to x and x Pokemon before boosting as well as x and x Pokemon after boosting (not only Dragons)

[SET 1]
name: Mixed Setup Sweeper (Dragon)
Kommo-o @ Kommonium Z
move 1: Clanging Scales
move 2: Close Combat
move 3: Flamethrower
move 4: Flash Cannon
ability: Soundproof
nature: Naive
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

*Clanging Scales is required to use Clangorous Soulblaze, Kommo-o's custom Z-move. It is also Kommo-o's most reliable STAB move that also finds additonal merit in bypassing common Substitute users such as Suicune.
*Close Combat helps Dragon check bulky Steel and Normal-types, such as Heatran, Chansey, Stakataka and Porygon2.
*Flamethrower is used against Steel-types that are neutral to Close Combat, such as Skarmory and Mega Scizor. It can also be used to hit Ferrothorn so Kommo-o avoids taking Iron Barbs damage through Close Combat. You don't need to say "so it avoids taking iron barbs damage" - its kind of obvious that you wouldn't use CC if flamethrower is available against ferrothorn, regardless of iron barbs
*Flash Cannon acts as an important move and soft check to slower Rock and Fairy types like Clefable and Armaldo.

Set Details
========

*Maximum Special Attack and Speed allows Kommo-o to hit as hard as possible, as fast as possible with Kommo-o's powerful attacks.
*The Remaining 4 EV's are placed into Attack to slightly boost the power of Close Combat.
*Naive Natured Kommo-o allows it to outspeed Mamoswine, Buzzwole, and Heatran naturally. At +1 speed, it can outspeed the likes of Mega Lopunny and Mega Aerodactyl.
*Soundproof is used primarily to prevent opposing Kommo-o from using Clangarous Clangorous Soulblaze, and also prevents Ditto from utilizing Clanging Scales after copying Kommo-o's boosts. However, it also has smaller merits in being unaffected by Volcarona's Bug Buzz, Mega Gardevoir's Hyper Voice, and Azumarill's Perish Song.
*Kommonium Z is the required Z-crystal in order to use Clangorous Soulblaze and gain a boost in each stat.

Usage Tips
========

*Use Clangarous Clangorous Soulblaze only in situations where you know that it will be safe to use, such as picking up a kill or in situations where you can force the opponent to switch, such as when the opponent is Choice-locked into a move that Kommo-o resists, such as Hydro Pump/Dark Pulse from Greninja, or V-Create/Bolt Strike from Victini.
*Be cautious of the defense drops Kommo-o suffers; overusage of Clanging Scales/Close Combat will make you prone to faster physical/priority attackers that will take advantage of Kommo-o's lowered defense stat such as Diggersby and Dragonite.
*Conserve Kommo-o by taking as little from entry hazards as possible, especially against Ice and Normal teams where it is your primary win condition.
*Avoid status conditions as much as possible, especially paralysis, where its speed is needed in order to function as a setup sweeper.
*Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze against opposing Kommo-o and Ditto, as they become immune to it because of Soundproof, and in turn, you won't receive stat boosts.
*Be wary of Haze/phaze users like Mantine and Hippowdon, as they force Kommo-o out of its stat boosts, and in turn soften its offensive pressure.
*Being wary of using z-move when a fairy is still alive on the opponent's team

Team Options
========

*Latios is an ideal partner, as it acts as Dragon's main form of Speed Control with a Choice Scarf by checking opposing Latios and Hydreigon. It is also a consistent Defogger that can threaten bulkier walls that Kommo-o can't easily break, even with setup, such as Toxapex.
*Kyurem-Black checks Dragon-types like Mega Altaria and Flying-types like Landorus-T, while also providing a neutrality to Ice-type moves that Kommo-o appreciates.
*Garchomp provides Stealth Rock support which allows Kommo-o to sweep teams easier, by providing solid chip damage to opponents that have the capacity to threaten Kommo-o offensively, such as Mega Pinsir, Volcarona, and Kingdra. Garchomp's Stealth Rocks can also break Sturdy/Focus Sashes, and put foes in range of a knockout from one of Kommo-o's attacks.
*Latias can be used as a substitute for Latios, acting as a bulkier Defogger that also provides Healing Wish support, granting Kommo-o extra longevity if it's weakened early. By doing so, Kommo-o can be given more opportunites to set up against the opponent and sweep them, especially late-game.
*Mega Latias provides use in helping to break down bulkier special walls more reliably, notably Celesteela and Mantine.
*Mega Altaria is another key teammate, providing immunity to opposing Dragon types and firing back with a Pixilate Boosted Return/Frustration. It also threatens Dark-types like Mega Sableye that are immune to Kommo-o's Fighting STAB, and Psychic-Types such as Mega Gallade that naturally pressure Kommo-o.

Moves
========

*Clanging Scales is used to gain the stat boosts from Clangorous Soulblaze. Its solid special power also allows it to break down opponents that are physically defensive such as of Avalugg, Pelipper, and Landorus-T.
*Close Combat is Kommo-o's best physical STAB move, being able to break down bulky walls such as Ferrothorn, Porygon2, and Cradily.
*Earthquake acts as a coverage option against other opponents that don't resist it, namely Victini, Jirachi, Klefki, and Toxapex.
*Poison Jab namely hits Fairy types that would resist both of Kommo-o's STAB moves, namely Tapu Koko, Tapu Bulu, and Azumarill.
*Dragon Dance amplifies Kommo-o's offensive output by boosting both its Attack and Speed stats. Boosting both of these stats allow Kommo-o to function better as a setup sweeper without having to utilize Clangorous Soulblaze prematurely.

Set Details
========

*Max Attack allows Kommo-o to maximize its physical power at base value.
*Max Speed paired with a Naive Nature allows Kommo-o to speed tie with other base 85 foes, such as Nidoking and Heracross, and outspeeds Mega Lopunny and Mega Alakazam at +1.
*Kommonium Z is required in order to use Clangorous Soulblaze, to where Kommo-o receives its stat boosts.
*Soundproof is used primarily to prevent opposing Kommo-o from using Clangorous Soulblaze, and also prevents Ditto from utilizing Clanging Scales after copying Kommo-o's boosts.

Usage Tips
========

*Physical Kommo-o can't take a chance at sweeping teams if it is statused. Avoid taking hits that could inflict those conditions, such as Scald, Discharge, and Sludge Bomb.
*Never use Clangorous Soulblaze too early unless the matchup is heavily skewed in Dragon's favor, such as against Fire and Grass teams. Otherwise, you must find opportunites to use Clangarous Clangorous Soulblaze safely, such as when the opponent is weakened or Choice-locked into a move that Kommo-o resists. Instances of these cases include using Clangorous Soulblaze on Greninja Choice-locked into Hydro Pump/Dark Pulse, or Victini Choice-locked into V-Create/Bolt Strike. Greninja is never clicking Hydro Pump vs. Dragon, just remove that - same goes for Bolt Strike Victini.
*Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze against opposing Kommo-o and Ditto, as they become immune to it because of Soundproof, and in turn, you won't receive stat boosts. Also avoid using the Z-move on Fairy-types, as they are immune to the Dragon-type Z-move. This second sentence isn't what I meant. I meant something more along the lines of being wary of using the Z-move when a fairy type is healthy on the opponents team. I.e. Tapu Bulu on Grass which threatens to switch into the z-move, preventing boosts.

Team Options
========

*Latias is a fantastic partner for Kommo-o, being able to Defog hazards away and provides Healing Wish support to give Kommo-o a second chance at sweeping teams if it ever is weakened.
*Mega Latias overall has great bulk that can sponge hits for Kommo-o and can recover off the damage through Roost/Recover. It also can assist in breaking down special walls more reliably, notably Celesteela and Mantine. Breaking special walls doesn't really matter to a physical kommo-o.
*Latios also provides similar assistance by Defogging hazards. Unlike Latias however, Latios takes a more offensive approach to Kommo-o's setup by tricking a Choice Scarf onto walls/utility foes or using Memento on an offensive presence. Talk about how memento enables Kommo-o to setup more reliably.
*Kyurem-Black offers an Ice type neutrality that all Dragon-types appreciate. It also threatens physically defensive foes that Kommo-o can't break as easily, such as Landorus-T and Zapdos.
*Hydreigon checks offensive Psychic types that would otherwise threaten Kommo-o, such as Mew and Alakazam.
*Garchomp provides Stealth Rock support that breaks Sturdy/Focus Sash users like Gengar and Dugtrio, and provides valuable chip damage to put opponents into knockout range, or foes that typically don't utilize a recovery option, such as Dragonite and Gyarados. It also provides residual damage that can put opponents in range of a knockout from Kommo-o, which is especially useful in late-game scenarios.
*Mega Altaria provides a Dragon-type Immunity with an additional Fairy typing, and can force Choice-locked Dragons like Latios and Hydreigon out.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

*Focus Blast can be opted for as a substitute to Close Combat because of its special power. It also allows you to use a nature that doesn't lower a defensive stat such as Timid or Modest.
However, Drain Punch misses out on more potential knockouts or two-hit knockouts, namely Porygon2 and Celesteela, due to its severe drop in power compared to Close Combat.
* Probably could talk about Bulletproof maybe? Up to you - it has a niche in bluffing soundproof while granting additional immunities, although the additional immunities aren't that major.

Checks and Counters
===================

Dragon
--------

**Fairy-Types**: Fairy types such as Tapu Koko and Mega Diancie can outspeed Kommo-o at base value and immediately OHKO it, while being immune to its Z-move. Likewise, bulkier Fairies such as Klefki can also take advantage of Kommo-o to set up screens, hazards, and cripple it with Thunder Wave/Toxic.

**Mimikyu**: Mimikyu is especially threatening, as its unique typing makes it immune to both of Kommo-o's STAB moves, protects itself from one offensive move due to Disguise and will immediately OHKO Kommo-o with Play Rough despite a Defense boost.

**Haze/Phazing**: Common Haze users like Toxapex and Mantine, or bulky Whirlwind/Roar users like Hippowdon, Skarmory, and Swampert can force Kommo-o out of its stat boosts and soften its offensive pressure.

**Dragon-types**: Naturally faster Dragons like Garchomp, Kyurem-Black and Hydreigon immediately threaten Kommo-o with their Dragon STAB.

**Psychic-types**: Psychic types like Alakazam, Latios/Latias, and Mega Gallade can take advantage of Kommo-o's slower speed and cripple it with powerful Psychic moves.

**Faster Threats**: Choice Scarf users such as Greninja and Latios, or other setup sweepers like Mega Charizard X, Flyinium Z Landorus-T, and Mewnium Z Mew can threaten Kommo-o once they are set up. However, the latter must usually set up first before attacking, and does not appreciate Kommo-o's powerful attacks.

**Status**: Status conditions such as Paralysis and Burns greatly inhibit Kommo-o's ability to act as a setup sweeper, so avoid bulkier opponents/Prankster users that can inflict these conditions, such as Sableye and Klefki.

**Residual Damage** Any bit of entry hazards or status damage set a timer on Kommo-o, and must stay healthy in order to have the best possible chances at sweeping teams.

*Kommo-o's unique typing provides extra resistances to Bug and Rock type moves, as no other Dragon can resist Bug-type moves such as U-turn Scizor, and Garchomp is the only Dragon besides Kommo-o that can resist Rock-type moves, like Stone Edge Tyranitar.
- i dont know how important this is cause neither of those STABs dragon is weak to. maybe if u wanted to combine this w/ the bullet about setting up
*Conversely, Kommo-o's unique typing also makes it weak to more common typings in the tier such as Fairy and Psychic, with offensive threats like Mew, Mega Diancie, and Tapu Koko.
*Fairy-types hinder Kommo-o in the sense that they resist both of its STAB, prevent Kommo-o from using its custom Z-move, and every Fairy-type can OHKO Kommo-o if they have Fairy-type STAB.
- in addition to what you have also talk abt why its useless here bz it cant get boosts w/ its z move
*Kommo-o is slower than many other Dragons, having a base 85 Speed stat. Because of this, Kommo-o is vulnerable to faster setup sweepers like Porygon-Z and Mega Charizard X before a speed boost, and Choice Scarf users such as Greninja and Latios after a speed boost.

However, Drain Punch misses out on more potential knockouts or two-hit knockouts, namely Porygon2 and Celesteela, due to its severe drop in power compared to Close Combat. imo drain punch is an unmove, let a qc decide this tho. its setting up dd to sweep which is always easier with cc
*Bulletproof can be used over Soundproof as a bluffing option, which would scare away opposing Ditto and Kommo-o, while also providing extra niche immunites in being unaffected by specific moves such as Sludge Bomb and Shadow Ball. However, these extra immunities aren't as valuable compared to what Soundproof offers, and enables opposing Kommo-o and Ditto to take advantage of the lack of Soundproof once discovered.

- idk if id use hippo/swamp as examples bz they are def scared of clangorous soulbraze or +1 clanging scales. maybe mention pex

**Dragon-types**: Naturally faster Dragons like Garchomp, Kyurem-Black and Hydreigon immediately threaten Kommo-o with their Dragon STAB.

**Psychic-types**: Psychic types like Alakazam, Latios, Latias, and Mega Gallade can take advantage of Kommo-o's slower speed and cripple it with powerful Psychic moves.

**Faster Threats**: Choice Scarf users such as Greninja and Latios, or other setup sweepers like Mega Charizard X, Flyinium Z Landorus-T, and Mewnium Z Mew can threaten Kommo-o once they are set up. However, the latter must usually set up first before attacking, and does not appreciate being hit by Kommo-o's powerful attacks.

**Status**: Status conditions such as Paralysis and Burns greatly inhibit Kommo-o's ability to act as a setup sweeper, so avoid bulkier opponents or Prankster users that can inflict these conditions, such as Sableye and Klefki.

**Residual Damage** Any bit of entry hazards or status damage set a timer on Kommo-o, and must stay healthy in order to have the best possible chances at sweeping teams.
- i would ask a qc abt this but u mention status in this line so id just merge it with bullet above and make it **Status and Residual Damage**

Fix your set formats.
The sample set looks like this:
[SET]
name: Swords Dance (Grass)
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Wood Hammer / Seed Bomb
move 3: Ice Shard
move 4: Earthquake
item: Abomasite
ability: Soundproof
nature: Adamant
evs: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 180 Spe

Yours does not look like that. Use the template and just add the right stuff. torkool literally told you to do this already.

Mixed Setup Sweeper:
Usage Tips:
- Talk about how it's hard to use it in the Normal matchup in general outside of just the scared of Ditto thing.

Team Options:
- Mega Altaria or Stored Power Mega Latias to take on Normal is a pretty big deal. Definitely add that.

Dragon Dance:
You should generally put more focus on the Normal matchup for this set, since that's really the point of having this set instead of the other.

Other Options:
- Focus Blast is generally just bad.
- Earthquake would be used with Flamethrower to destroy Steel teams. Should specify that.
- Drain Punch is specifically for the Dragon Dance set to handle Normal
- Opposing Kommo-o would probably have Soundproof, so that doesn't make sense, but it would allow you to Clangorous Soulblaze on a Ditto switch to remove Ditto and get the boost through a surprise.

Checks and Counters:
- Dragon-types can just go in Faster Threats. There's nothing notable about them in particular.

Dragon
========

Kommo-o is one of Dragon's best setup sweepers due to its custom omni-boosting Z-Move, (RC) Clangorous Soulblaze, great dual-STAB STAB combination in Dragon and Fighting, and very solid coverage options, which is especially helpful against types that Dragon would normally struggle with in breaking, such as Normal, Steel, Rock, and Ice. Because Kommo-o has such an expansive movepool, if can function as either a physical or special setup sweeper, making its moveset harder to predict at Team Preview. Its solid stats on both the offensive and defensive spectrum are very solid Kommo-o's defensive stats are just as solid as its offensive stats, and often allowing Kommo-o to take most hits and before proceeding to use its Z-Move against teams that don't commonly have a Fairy immunity to it, or one at all, such as Fire, Steel, and Bug (this highlighted part doesn't make very much sense. something like, '...before proceeding to use its Z-Move against teams that lack a Dragon-resistant or-immune Pokemon.' would sound better.). It can usually setup set up on slower presences on each of those types like Fire, Steel, and Bug, examples being Torkoal, Heatran, and Armaldo, (AC) respectively. With a Fighting-(AH)type STAB move in Close Combat, Kommo-o assists Dragon in breaking past bulkier cores such as Chansey + Porygon2, which is rather handy considering that Dragon teams do not have a Knock Off user that can take away remove the Eviolite's Eviolites off of from both of them. Solid coverage options like Flash Cannon, Flamethrower, and Poison Jab help in checking Fairy-(AH) and Steel-types that Dragon-types would normally struggle to break, like Clefable, Mega Scizor, and Mega Diancie. Kommo-o's unique typing provides extra resistances to Bug-(AH) and Rock-(AH)type moves, as no other Dragon-type can resist Bug-type moves such as U-turn from Scizor, and Garchomp is the only Dragon-type besides Kommo-o that can resist Rock-type moves, like Stone Edge from Tyranitar. However, Kommo-o does not come without some very notable drawbacks. Kommo-o's unique typing, while beneficial, also makes it weak to more common typings in the tier such as Fairy and Psychic, with offensive threats like Mew, Mega Diancie, and Mega Gardevoir (either remove this last bit providing examples of pokemon on the types or reword it in a way that transitions into the examples bc this feels incomplete.). Fairy-types in general hinder Kommo-o in the sense that they resist both of its STAB types, prevent Kommo-o from using its custom Z-Move, and every Fairy-type can OHKO Kommo-o if they have Fairy-type a STAB move. Kommo-o's Speed is rather lackluster compared to most other Dragon-types, having a base 85 speed stat. Because of this, Kommo-o is vulnerable to faster setup sweepers like Porygon-Z and Mega Charizard X before a Speed boost, and Choice Scarf users such as Greninja and Latios after a Speed boost. Because Kommo-o heavily relies on its Z-Move to act as a setup sweeper, it rarely uses any other item besides Kommonium Z.

Moves
========

Clanging Scales is Kommo-o's most reliable STAB move and is required to use Clangorous Soulblaze, Kommo-o's custom Z-Move. It is also Kommo-o's most reliable STAB move that also finds additonal merit in bypassing common Substitute users Clanging Scales also allows Kommo-o to damage Pokemon such as Suicune through their Substitutes. Close Combat helps Dragon check bulky Steel-(AH) and Normal-types, such as Heatran, Chansey, Stakataka, (AC) and Porygon2. Flamethrower is used against Steel-types that are neutral to Close Combat, such as Skarmory and Mega Scizor. Flash Cannon acts as an important move and soft check to that allows Kommo-o to threaten slower Rock-(AH) and Fairy-(AH)types like Clefable and Armaldo.

Set Details
========

Maximum investment in Special Attack and Speed allows Kommo-o to hit as hard as possible with Kommo-o's powerful attacks, (RC) while being as fast as possible with Kommo-o's powerful attacks. The remaining 4 EVs are placed into Attack to slightly boost the power of Close Combat. A Naive nature allows Kommo-o to naturally outspeed Mamoswine, Buzzwole, and Heatran naturally, though and at +1 Speed, it can outspeed the likes of Mega Lopunny and Mega Aerodactyl.

Usage Tips
========

Use Clangorous Soulblaze only in situations where you know that it will be safe to use, such as picking up a kill KO or in situations where you can force the opponent to switch, such as with one example being when the opponent foe is Choice-locked into a move that Kommo-o resists, (RC) such as like (much less repetitive this way.) Dark Pulse from Greninja, (RC) or V-Create from Victini. It can also be used against foes that are solely a utility role to opposing teams, such as Forretress. (feels like the highlighted part is missing a word.) As long as they do not carry a status inflicting move such as Thunder Wave, then it is usually safe to launch Clangorous Soulblaze. Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze against opposing Kommo-o and Ditto, as they become immune to it because of Soundproof, and in turn, you Kommo-o won't receive stat boosts. Also, avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze when the opponent has a Fairy-type, such as Azumarill on Water or Mega Diancie on Rock, as they will threaten to switch in on the Z-move and prevents the stat boosts as a result can easily switch into the move and prevent any potential stat boost. Be cautious of the defense drops to Kommo-o's defenses that it suffers from using its STAB moves; overusage of Clanging Scales/Close Combat Kommo-o's STAB moves will make you leave it prone to faster physical/priority physical attackers as well as priority users that will take advantage of Kommo-o's lowered Defense stat such as Diggersby and Dragonite. Conserve Kommo-o by taking as little from entry hazards as possible, especially against Ice and Normal teams where it is your primary win condition. Avoid status conditions as much as possible, especially paralysis, where as its Kommo-o's Speed is needed in order to function as a setup sweeper. Also, be wary of Haze/phaze Haze users like Mantine as well as phazers and like Hippowdon when Kommo-o is has set up, as they force Kommo-o out of its stat boosts, and in turn soften its offensive pressure get rid of Kommo-o's boosts and turn it into much less of a threat. This variant of Kommo-o is very difficult to set up with against Normal-(RH)teams, as priority moves from Diggersby and Mega Lopunny and Diggersby chip away at it, Staraptor lowers Kommo-o's Attack stat disrupting disrupts the power of Close Combat by lowering Kommo-o's Attack, Chansey walls all of Kommo-o's special options, and Ditto can utilize Kommo-o's omniboost against itself and its teammates. By removing offensive threats in Diggersby, Mega Lopunny, and Ditto, Kommo-o is enabled to setup set up and sweep against Normal teams much easier and safer.

Team Options
========

Choice Scarf Latios is an ideal partner, as it acts as Dragon's main form of Speed Control keeping faster foes such as with a Choice Scarf by checking Hydreigon and opposing Latios in check and Hydreigon. It is also a consistent Defogger that can threaten bulkier walls that Kommo-o can't easily break, (RC) even with setup after setting up, such as Toxapex. Kyurem-Black checks Dragon-types like Mega Altaria and Flying-types like Landorus-T, (RC) while also providing a neutrality to Ice-type moves that Kommo-o appreciates. In return, Kommo-o covers Kyurem-Black's crippling Steel-type weakness. Garchomp provides Stealth Rock support, (AC) which allows Kommo-o to sweep teams easier, (RC) by providing solid chip damage to opponents Pokemon that have the capacity to threaten Kommo-o offensively, such as Mega Pinsir, Volcarona, and Kingdra. Garchomp's Stealth Rocks can also break Sturdy/Focus Sashes Sturdy and Focus Sashes, and as well as put foes in range of a knockout KO from one of Kommo-o's attacks. Dragonite is another of Dragon's wallbreakers, being able to fire off a powerful Choice Banded Choice Band-boosted Outrage while also having Dragon's best priority move in Extreme Speed that can revenge kill faster threats such as Greninja. Hydreigon helps Kommo-o against Psychic teams that would otherwise threaten it, whether it be through firing off Dark Pulses, (RC) or U-turning pivoting out with U-turn to keep up offensive momentum. In return, Kommo-o helps to check Choice Scarfed Bug-types Choice Scarf users such as Heracross and Buzzwole that would otherwise force Hydreigon out. Latias can be used as a substitute for Latios, acting as a bulkier Defogger that also provides Healing Wish support, granting Kommo-o extra longevity if it's weakened early. By doing so, Kommo-o can be given more opportunites opportunities to set up against the opponent opposing team and sweep them, especially late-game. (imo, this part about latias sounds more fitting right after the point about latios bc of the highlighted bit.) In return, Kommo-o helps to eliminate Dark-types outside of Mega Sableye. Mega Latias provides use in support by helping to break down bulkier special walls more reliably, notably Celesteela and Mantine. It also heavily aids in the Normal matchup by setting up with Calm Minds on Staraptor and Porygon2, recovers off any damage, and breaks down its ('its' meaning normal teams?) defensive backbone through Stored Power. Mega Altaria is another key teammate, providing an immunity to opposing Dragon-(AH)types and firing back with a Pixilate-(AH)boosted Return/Frustration Return or Frustration. It also threatens Dark-types like Mega Sableye that are immune to Kommo-o's Fighting STAB, (RC) as well as Psychic-types such as Mega Gallade that naturally pressure Kommo-o, and can also (kinda sounded like dd sets could run hyper voice too at first.) sets up with Dragon Dances to be able to threaten Normal-types such as Chansey and Mega Lopunny and Chansey. In return, Kommo-o also helps break down Steel-types such as Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor.

Moves
========

Clanging Scales is used to gain the stat boosts from Clangorous Soulblaze. Its solid special power also allows it to break down physically defensive opponents foes that are physically defensive such as of Avalugg, Pelipper, and Landorus-T. Dragon Dance amplifies Kommo-o's offensive output presence by boosting both its Attack and Speed stats. Boosting both of these stats not only allows Kommo-o to function better as a setup sweeper without having to utilize Clangorous Soulblaze prematurely, but also can also help to check offensive threats like Greninja, foes that which would be harder to handle without Dragon Dance otherwise. Close Combat is Kommo-o's best physical STAB move, being able to break down bulky walls such as Ferrothorn, Porygon2, and Cradily. Earthquake acts as a coverage option against other opponents foes that don't resist it, namely Victini, Jirachi, Klefki, and Toxapex. Poison Jab namely hits Fairy-(AH)types that would resist both of Kommo-o's STAB moves, namely Tapu Koko, Tapu Bulu, and Azumarill. (using 'would' doesn't make much sense bc it makes it sound like they wouldn't if kommo-o does run pjab.)

Set Details
========

Maximum investment in Attack allows Kommo-o to maximize its physical power at base value. Maximum investment in Speed paired with a Naive nature allows Kommo-o to Speed tie with other base 85 foes, such as Nidoking and Heracross, and outspeeds to outspeed Mega Lopunny and Mega Alakazam at +1. Kommonium Z is required in order to use Clangorous Soulblaze, to where which allows Kommo-o to receives its stat boosts. Soundproof is used primarily to prevent opposing Kommo-o from using Clangorous Soulblaze, and also prevents Ditto from utilizing Clanging Scales after copying Kommo-o's boosts.

Usage Tips
========

This variant of Dragon Dance Kommo-o primarily assists Dragon-(RH)teams against Normal teams, as its Fighting-type STAB is extremely beneficial for breaking down Normal teams' notorius notorious defensive backbone. In these cases, use Dragon Dance in the face of Chansey, as it forces the opponent into a defensive option while also providing yourself Kommo-o with a free turn of setup. Never use Clangorous Soulblaze too early unless the matchup is heavily skewed in Dragon's favor, such as against Fire and Grass teams. Otherwise, you must find opportunites opportunities to use Clangorous Soulblaze safely, such as when the opponent foe is weakened or Choice-locked into a move that Kommo-o resists. Instances of these cases include using Clangorous Soulblaze on Greninja that's Choice-locked into Dark Pulse, (RC) or Victini that's Choice-locked into V-Create. Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze against opposing Kommo-o and Ditto, as they become immune to it because of Soundproof, and in turn, you won't receive stat boosts. Also, avoid using the Z-move against healthy Fairy-(AH)types, such as Tapu Bulu on Grass or and Mimikyu on Ghost, as they will threaten to switch into the Z-move, preventing the stat boosts can easily switch into the move and prevent any potential stat boost. Use Dragon Dance in situations where Kommo-o faces a Pokemon with mainly utility options foe, such as Ferrothorn and Forretress. These kinds of foes typically do not run a status-inducing move, (RC) and therefore make it safer to apply offensive pressure to the opponent while taking minimal damage from their attacks. Physical Kommo-o can't take a chance at sweeping teams if it is statused. (RP), (AC) so avoid taking hits that could inflict those conditions, such as Scald, Discharge, and Sludge Bomb. By removing foes such as Mega Pinsir on Bug teams, Toxapex and Mantine on Water teams, or and Ditto and Staraptor on Normal teams, it becomes much easier for Kommo-o to act as a very deadly-(RH)late-(AH)game sweeper through setting up with Dragon Dances or utilizing its Z-Move, as the opponent at this point would have no clear way to prevent it at this point.

Team Options
========

Latias is a fantastic partner for Kommo-o, being able to Defog entry hazards away and provides providing Healing Wish support to give Kommo-o a second chance at sweeping teams if it ever is weakened. Mega Latias overall has great bulk that it can use to sponge hits for Kommo-o and can also recover off the damage through Roost/Recover either Roost or Recover. Latios provides similar assistance by also Defogging removing hazards with Defog. Unlike Latias, (AC) however, Latios takes a more offensive approach to Kommo-o's setup by tricking a Choice Scarf onto hindering walls and utility foes users with Trick and also using Memento on offensive powerhouses such as Excadrill and Blacephalon, decreasing the damage Kommo-o takes and enabling Kommo-o to set up more reliably by taking less damage, while also threatening to remove an offensive presence. Kyurem-Black offers an neutrality to Ice type neutrality that all Dragon-types appreciate. (RP) It and also threatens physically defensive foes that Kommo-o can't break as easily, such as Skarmory and Zapdos. Hydreigon checks offensive Psychic-(AH)types that would otherwise threaten Kommo-o, such as Mew and Alakazam. Garchomp provides Stealth Rock support that breaks Sturdy/Focus Sash Focus Sashes on Pokemon users like Gengar and Dugtrio, (neither of these pokemon have sturdy.) and provides valuable chip damage against to put opponents foes into knockout KO range, or (you say the exact same thing in a second, so this feels redundant.) foes that typically don't utilize a recovery option, such as Dragonite and Gyarados. It Stealth Rock also provides residual damage that can put opponents in range of a knockout KO from Kommo-o, which is especially useful in late-game scenarios. Mega Altaria provides a Dragon-type Immunity Dragon immunity with an its additional Fairy typing, (RC) and can force Choice-locked Dragon-types like Latios and Hydreigon out.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Earthquake on mixed Kommo-o is an option that would be used in tandem with Close Combat and Flamethrower to very heavily pressure Steel teams. It also acts to check Toxapex in a one-versus-one one-on-one scenario, but isn't as necessary considering that teammates like Latios, Kyurem-Black, (AC) and Garchomp work as fine checks on in their own right. Additionally, the combination of Scald burns and Haze eliminate any chances Kommo-o would have of breaking Toxapex with Earthquake at all. Drain Punch can also act as a substitute to Close Combat on Dragon Dance variants of Kommo-o, as it exchanges power for reliable recovery without dropping your its defenses. However, Drain Punch misses out on more potential knockouts or two-hit knockouts 2HKOs (cc doesn't ohko either of these pokemon at +1, and 'knockouts or two-hit knockouts' makes me think 'OHKOs or 2HKOs'.), namely Porygon2 and Celesteela, due to its severe drop in power compared to Close Combat. Bulletproof can be used over Soundproof as a bluffing option, which would lure in opposing Ditto looking to block Clanging Scales or Clangorous Soulblaze, while also providing extra niche immunites immunities in being unaffected by to specific moves such as Sludge Bomb and Shadow Ball. However, these extra immunities aren't as valuable compared to what Soundproof offers, and they enables opposing Kommo-o and Ditto to take advantage of the lack of Soundproof once discovered.

Checks and Counters

Dragon
--------

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-(AH)types such as Tapu Koko and Mega Diancie can outspeed Kommo-o at base value prior to it boosting with either Dragon Dance or Clangorous Soulblaze and immediately OHKO it, while being immune to its Z-Move. Likewise, bulkier Fairies Fairy-types such as Klefki can also take advantage of Kommo-o to by setting up dual screens, (RC) and entry hazards, (RC) and cripple or crippling it with Thunder Wave/Toxic Thunder Wave or Toxic.

**Mimikyu**: Mimikyu is especially threatening, as its unique typing makes it immune to both of Kommo-o's STAB moves, it protects itself from one offensive move due to Disguise, (AC) and will immediately OHKO Kommo-o with Play Rough despite a Defense boost.

**Haze/Phazing Haze Users and Phazers**: Common Haze users like Toxapex and Mantine, (RC) or as well as bulky Whirlwind and Roar users like Hippowdon, Skarmory, and Swampert can force Kommo-o out of, (AC) causing it to lose out on its stat boosts and softening its offensive pressure.

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-(AH)types like Alakazam, Latios, Latias, and Mega Gallade can take advantage of Kommo-o's slower Speed and cripple heavily damage or even KO it with powerful Psychic moves.

However, the latter must usually must set up first before attacking, (RC) and does not appreciate being hit by Kommo-o's powerful attacks.

**Status and Residual Damage**: Status conditions such as paralysis and burns greatly inhibit Kommo-o's ability to act as a setup sweeper, so avoid bulkier opponents or Prankster users that can inflict these conditions, such as Sableye and Klefki. Also, any bit of residual damage from entry hazards or status damage set a timer on Kommo-o, and it must stay healthy in order to have the best possible chances at sweeping teams.

By removing offensive threats in Diggersby, Mega Lopunny, and Ditto, Kommo-o is enabled to setup set up and sweep against Normal teams much easier and safer more easily and safely.

Team Options
========

Garchomp provides Stealth Rock support, (AC) which allows Kommo-o to sweep teams easier more easily, (RC) by providing solid chip damage to opponents Pokemon that have the capacity to threaten Kommo-o offensively, such as Mega Pinsir, Volcarona, and Kingdra. Garchomp's Stealth Rocks can also break Sturdy/Focus Sashes Sturdy and Focus Sashes (RC) and as well as put foes in range of a knockout KO from one of Kommo-o's attacks. (just Return, don't mention Frustration in analyses) It also threatens Dark-types like Mega Sableye that are immune to Kommo-o's Fighting STAB, (RC) as well as Psychic-types such as Mega Gallade that naturally pressure Kommo-o, and it can also (kinda sounded like dd sets could run hyper voice too at first.) sets up with Dragon Dances to be able to threaten Normal-types such as Chansey and Mega Lopunny and Chansey. In return, Kommo-o also helps break down Steel-types such as Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor.

Boosting both of these stats not only allows Kommo-o to function better as a setup sweeper without having to utilize Clangorous Soulblaze prematurely (RC) but also can also help to check offensive threats like Greninja, foes that which would be harder to handle without Dragon Dance otherwise.

Set Details
========

Maximum investment in Attack allows Kommo-o to maximize its physical power at base value. Maximum investment in Speed paired with a Naive nature allows (investment allows) Kommo-o to Speed tie with other base 85 foes, such as Nidoking and Heracross, and outspeeds to outspeed Mega Lopunny and Mega Alakazam at +1. Kommonium Z is required in order to use Clangorous Soulblaze, to where which allows Kommo-o to receives its stat boosts. Soundproof is used primarily to prevent opposing Kommo-o from using Clangorous Soulblaze (RC) and also prevents Ditto from utilizing Clanging Scales after copying Kommo-o's boosts.

Usage Tips
========

Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze against opposing Kommo-o and Ditto, as they become immune to it because of Soundproof, and in turn, you Kommo-o won't receive stat boosts. Use Dragon Dance in situations where Kommo-o faces a Pokemon with mainly utility options foe, such as Ferrothorn and or Forretress.

========

(just pick 1 tbh) Latios provides similar assistance by also Defogging removing hazards with Defog. Unlike Latias, (AC) however, Latios takes a more offensive approach to Kommo-o's setup by tricking a Choice Scarf onto hindering walls and utility foes users with Trick (utility Pokemon) and also using Memento on offensive powerhouses such as Excadrill and Blacephalon, decreasing the damage Kommo-o takes and enabling Kommo-o to set up more reliably by taking less damage, while also threatening to remove an offensive presence. Garchomp provides Stealth Rock support that breaks Sturdy/Focus Sash Focus Sashes on Pokemon users like Gengar and Dugtrio, (neither of these pokemon have sturdy.) (y keep Sturdy and add a relevant Sturdy mon, if there are none then delete Sturdy) and provides valuable chip damage against to put opponents foes into knockout KO range, or (you say the exact same thing in a second, so this feels redundant.) foes that typically don't utilize a recovery option, such as Dragonite and Gyarados.

Other Options
=============

Earthquake on mixed Kommo-o is an option that would be used in tandem with Close Combat and Flamethrower to very heavily pressure Steel teams. It also acts to check Toxapex in a one-versus-one one-on-one scenario, but this isn't as necessary considering that teammates like Latios, Kyurem-Black, (AC) and Garchomp work as fine checks on in their own right.

Dragon
--------

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-(AH)types such as Tapu Koko and Mega Diancie can outspeed Kommo-o at base value prior to it boosting with either Dragon Dance or Clangorous Soulblaze (move names are redundant tbh) and immediately OHKO it (RC) while being immune to its Z-Move. Likewise, bulkier Fairies Fairy-types such as Klefki can also take advantage of Kommo-o to by setting up dual screens, (RC) and entry hazards, (RC) and cripple or crippling it with Thunder Wave/Toxic Thunder Wave or Toxic.

**Mimikyu**: Mimikyu is especially threatening, as its unique typing makes it immune to both of Kommo-o's STAB moves, it protects itself from one offensive move due to Disguise, (AC) and it will immediately OHKO Kommo-o with Play Rough despite even through a Defense boost.

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-(AH)types like Alakazam, Latios, Latias, and Mega Gallade can take advantage of Kommo-o's slower lower Speed and cripple heavily damage or even KO it with powerful Psychic moves.

However, the latter must usually must set up first before attacking, (RC) and does not appreciate being hit by Kommo-o's powerful attacks.

**Status and Residual Damage**: Status conditions such as paralysis and burns greatly inhibit Kommo-o's ability to act as a setup sweeper, so avoid bulkier opponents foes or Prankster users that can inflict these conditions, such as Sableye and Klefki. Also, any bit of residual damage from entry hazards or status damage set a timer on Kommo-o, and it must stay healthy in order to have the best possible chances at sweeping teams.

[OVERVIEW]

Dragon
========

Because Kommo-o has such an expansive movepool, if it can function as either a physical or special setup sweeper, making its moveset harder to predict at Team Preview. Kommo-o's defensive stats are just as solid as its offensive stats, often allowing it to take most hits before proceeding to use its Z-Move against teams that lack a Dragon-resistant or Fairy-type Pokemon. (fwiw a dragon resist doesn't block the move's boosts like a fairy does so i'm not sure what point you're focusing on here) It can usually set up on slower presences on types like Fire, Steel, and Bug, with examples being Heatran and Armaldo, respectively. With a Fighting-type STAB move in Close Combat, Kommo-o assists Dragon in breaking past bulkier cores such as Chansey + Porygon2, which is rather handy considering that Dragon teams do not have a Knock Off user that can remove the Eviolites from both of them. Solid coverage options like Flash Cannon, Flamethrower, and Poison Jab help in checking Fairy- and Steel-types that Dragon-types would normally struggle to break, like Clefable, Mega Diancie, and Mega Scizor and Mega Diancie. Kommo-o's unique typing provides extra resistances to Bug- and Rock-type moves, as no other Dragon-type can resists Bug-type moves such as Scizor's U-turn, and Garchomp is the only Dragon-type besides Kommo-o that resists Rock-type moves, like Tyranitar's Stone Edge. Furthermore, Kommo-o's Speed is rather lackluster compared to most other Dragon-types, at base 85, leaving Kommo-o is vulnerable to faster setup sweepers like Porygon-Z and Mega Charizard X before a Speed boost and Choice Scarf users such as Greninja and Latios after. Because Kommo-o heavily relies on its Z-Move to act as a setup sweeper, it rarely uses any other item besides Kommonium Z. (so? is this point about predictability because i don't really see how relevant it is outside of that)

Moves

Clanging Scales is Kommo-o's most reliable STAB move and is required to use Clangorous Soulblaze, Kommo-o's custom Z-Move. Clanging Scales also allows Kommo-o to damage Pokemon such as Suicune through their Substitutes. Close Combat helps Dragon teams check bulky Steel- and Normal-types, such as Heatran, Chansey, Stakataka, and Porygon2. Flamethrower is used against Steel-types that are neutral to Close Combat, such as Skarmory and Mega Scizor. Flash Cannon acts as an important move and soft check that allows Kommo-o to threaten and soft check slower Rock- and Fairy-types like Clefable and Armaldo.

Set Details
========

Maximum investment in Special Attack and Speed allows Kommo-o to hit as hard as possible with Kommo-o's its powerful attacks while being as fast as possible.

Usage Tips
========

By removing offensive threats in Diggersby, Mega Lopunny, and Ditto, Kommo-o is enabled able to set up and sweep against Normal teams much more easily and safely.

Garchomp's Stealth Rock can also break Sturdy and Focus Sashes a foe's Focus Sash or Sturdy as well as put foes in range of a KO from one of Kommo-o's attacks. Dragonite is another of Dragon's wallbreakers, being able to fire off a powerful Choice Band-boosted Outrage while also having Dragon's best priority move in Extreme Speed that can revenge kill faster threats such as Greninja. Hydreigon helps Kommo-o against Psychic teams that would otherwise threaten it, whether it be through firing off Dark Pulse, (RC) or pivoting out with U-turn to keep up offensive momentum. In return, Kommo-o helps to check Bug-types Bug-type Choice Scarf users such as Heracross and Buzzwole that would otherwise force Hydreigon out. It also heavily aids in the Normal matchup by setting up with Calm Minds on Staraptor and Porygon2, recovers recovering off any damage, and breaks breaking down the defensive backbone of Normal teams through Stored Power.

**Haze Users and Phazers**: Common Haze users like Toxapex and Mantine as well as bulky Whirlwind and Roar users like Hippowdon, Skarmory, and Swampert can force Kommo-o out, causing it to lose out on its stat boosts and softening its offensive pressure. (roar doesn't go through soundproof tho)

Implemented; addressing questions:
-Yeah tbf a Dragon resist really is just a Fairy-type so I just eliminated the "Dragon resist" part.
-Yes, that point is there just for predictability sake.
-EQ does hit Koko harder, but I figured that it'd be logical to put Koko on the line that generalized why you would run Poison Jab, for Fairy-types. Additionally, I had plenty of examples of what EQ can hit hard in the previous line, so I didn't feel like adding Koko there.
-Roar is blocked by Soundproof, yes. In the case where people would run the other two abilities over Soundproof, however, it was added. It wasn't brought up in QC checks, nor was addressed to me as an issue, so I'll leave it there (unless Eien, Moosical or any other Mono QC would like that changed).

Other than that, we're done here folks~
