[OVERVIEW]

Even with Technician, Kricketune’s lack of any offensive stats prevents it from using this quirk to the fullest. Due to its weakness to Stealth Rock and very poor defenses, Kricketune only functions as a suicide lead on the niche playstyle of Sticky Web, but even there it is outclassed by Smeargle and Shuckle which compress both Sticky Web and Stealth Rock, are faster or bulkier, and have far better support moves like Spore and Encore.

Kricketune is only to be used as a suicide lead by setting up Sticky Web and then maybe knocking an opposing Pokemon out with Endeavor and Bug Bite. However, this set is easily shut down by Taunt users such as Froslass and Qwilfish, which are often leads in their own right. Kricketune is also outclassed by Smeargle and Shuckle, which both carry far superior support moves.

Kricketune is simply an atrocious Pokemon that suffers from pretty much everything. (thats p much all the mons getting pseudo analyses)Even with the stellar ability Technician(thats overselling it), its lack of any offensive stats prevents it from using this quirk to the fullest. Due to its humongous weakness to Stealth Rock and very frail defenses, Kricketune only functions on the niche playstyle of Sticky Web, but even there it’s terrible as it is outclassed by Smeargle.(mention smeargle's better speed and utility)

Kricketune fails to accomplish anything remotely useful and is for the most part, deadweight. (fluff, you explain its shortcomings as a lead later on) Even with Technician, its lack of any offensive stats prevents it from using this quirk to the fullest. Due to its humongous weakness to Stealth Rock and very frail defenses, Kricketune only functions on the niche playstyle of Sticky Web, but even there it’s terrible as it is outclassed by Smeargle who sits at a higher speed tier and has access to support moves like Nuzzle and Spore that can disrupt the opponent before it gets KOed. (shuckle is also far bulkier and can cripple leads with encore/knock off. both shuckle and smeargle can compress the role of a rocker as well)
