Kyurem-B is a menacing force in Monotype, being a fantastic offensive threat with its unparalleled physical BoltBeam coverage which is capable of single-handedly dismantling types such as Ground, Poison, and Water. By using Dragon Dance to boost its incredible Attack and solid Speed stats, it becomes an amazing wallbreaker and setup sweeper overall. The combination of Freeze Shock and Power Herb can be used to heavily damage defensive foes such as Galrian Corsola and Ferrothorn, and especially Galarian Weezing and Zeraora after a Dragon Dance boost. However, Heavy-Duty Boots can be opted for on Substitute variants of Kyurem-B to ensure it stays as healthy as possible, as the item prevents damage from entry hazards like Stealth Rock. Maximum Attack and Speed investment when combined with a Jolly nature permits Kyurem-B to utilize its physical power to the fullest while still being able to match other base 95 Speed Pokemon such as Indeedee-M awhile also beating out Choice Scarf Duraludon, Choice Scarf Gardevoir, and Zeraora after a Dragon Dance boost. An alternative spread of 52 HP / 204 Atk / 252 Spe should also be considered on Substitute variants as the HP threshold ensures that its Substitute isn't broken by Galarian Corsola's Night Shade, while also making Stealth Rock damage upon entry a 5HKO instead of a 4HKO if it decides to forego Heavy-Duty Boots.
Kyurem-B adds on to a long list of powerful offensive presences that Dragon has to offer, and synergizes well with these teammates. Dragapult is the fastest Choice Scarf user in the metagame, and is necessary to threaten other fast foes like Choice Scarf Gengar, Zeraora, as well as other Dragon-types like opposing Dragon Dance Kyurem-B. Choice Specs Hydreigon is great against Physically Defensive foes like Avalugg and Acid Armor Reuniclus that it may struggle to take on initially. Both Dragapult and Hydreigon are great at checking Steel-types such as Aegislash and Cobalion that Kyurem-B is threatened by. Choice Scarf Duraludon is critical for handling Fairy-types such as Choice Scarf Gardevoir and Grimmsnarl with its STAB boosted Flash Cannon. Utility options in Kommo-o and Noivern are appreciated as well; even though both utilize Taunt to disrupt various defensive foes, the former sets up Stealth Rock to put foes like Galarian Corsola in range of Kyurem-B's attacks, while the latter can remove troublesome entry hazards like Stealth Rock through the use of Defog as well as check problematic Fighting-types such as Hawlucha and Keldeo through STAB Hurricane. The latter is especially appreciated on Kyurem-B variants not using Heavy-Duty Boots.

What makes Kyurem-B among the greatest threats in Monotype is the fact that hardly any Pokemon can safely switch into this behemoth. Between its great offensive stats, unparalleled BoltBeam coverage, its vast arsenal of coverage moves, and reliable recovery in Roost, defensive counterplay to it is few and far between. Because Freeze-Dry is super effective versus Water-types, Kyurem-B is infuriating for Water teams to handle as its impossible for them to safely threaten it without being OHKOed by the combination of Freeze-Dry and Fusion Bolt. That same BoltBeam coverage is also fantastic for dealing with Flying-, Grass-, and Ground-types such as Corviknight, Celebi, and Rhyperior. Earth Power is great for taking on Rock- and Steel-types such as Coalossal and Aegislash, though Focus Blast may be opted for greater damage against foes like Ferrothorn. Roost provides Kyurem-B with essential recovery so it may continuously threaten foes. The combination of a Life Orb, a Naive nature, and maximum Special Attack and Speed investment permits it to hit as hard and as fast as possible, without damaging its offensive stats.
Kyurem-B's immense wallbreaking power is much appreciated on Dragon teams, as its unbridled power compliments its teammates very well. Teammates like Choice Specs Hydreigon lends its efforts into threatening some of Kyurem-B's checks in Ferrothorn and Jirachi, while others such as Choice Scarf Duraludon helps against faster Fairy-types such as Ribombee and Choice Scarf Gardevoir. It also utlilizes Thunder Wave as a means to slow down fast foes like Choice Scarf Dragapult and Choice Scarf Gengar for Kyurem-B, as it foregoes the speed boosting capabilities of Dragon Dance to match them. Dragapult is fantastic for Kyurem-B to pair with as its blistering speed when coupled with a Choice Scarf make it an excellent revenge killer, and is especially necessary to take on opposing Dragon teams. The utility of Kommo-o and Noivern assists it greatly, as the former utilizes Stealth Rock to put foes in range of its attacks, while the latter removes entry hazards like Stealth Rock and Toxic Spikes that would otherwise greatly hinder it. Both commonly use Taunt to shut down various forms of hazard control and recovery.
