Kyurem @ Never-Melt Ice
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Freeze-Dry
- Earth Power
- Roost

Kyurem is back in business in OU with a Never-Melt Ice set, which gives it longevity and the ability to switch up moves, making it harder for foes to pivot around unlike its Choice Specs set. Never-Melt Ice allows Kyurem to 2HKO Corviknight as well as physically defensive Clefable and gives it very hard-hitting Ice-type STAB moves in general. They can be difficult to switch in to when paired with Earth Power, which forces out Steel-types like Heatran and Melmetal. Kyurem can be a devastating wallbreaker, as it is hard to force out with its great natural bulk and can freeze checks like Clefable and Corviknight, which tend to spam recovery moves. Kyurem pairs very well with Ferrothorn, as Spikes wears down checks like Galarian Slowking and Melmetal, and it helps Ferrothorn keep up Spikes by pressuring most Defoggers. Fellow wallbreakers like Dragapult and Tapu Koko, both of which can also pivot, offer Kyurem wallbreaking opportunities against their checks like Toxapex and Landorus-T. Defog support from partners like Corviknight is very much appreciated due to Kyurem's Stealth Rock weakness.
