Kyurem @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Freeze-Dry
- Earth Power
- Roost
With significant threats such as Cinderace and Magearna banished from the tier, Kyurem is back in the spotlight and looks to terrorize OU once again. Pressure, Heavy-Duty Boots, new found access to Freeze Dry, and it's impressive bulk, all of which elevate Kyurem's status as a threat within the tier. Freeze Dry deals with prominent Water-, Flying-, Ground-, and Dragon-types
this is all unnecessary; describing the type chart is genuinely insulting, so just mention that you're using it because you're hitting slowking / pex / rotom-w super effectively. like Toxapex, Zapdos, Swampert, and Hydreigon. Earth Power is prominent in dealing with Steel- and Fire-type Pokemon that resist Freeze Dry
this is such an unnecessarily complicated way of saying "epower hits ice resists" such as Heatran and Melmetal. Substitute allows Kyurem to take advantage of passive Pokemon like Toxapex
add mentions of slowking here; make king the first example. while also further enhancing its role as an effective pressure staller
I'd avoid using terminology like this since we don't really refer to shit like that in general + it causes problems with gp and the general social media audience so to save you the trouble, I want you to rephrase that into something like "while also letting it waste pp more effectively". Roost provides much needed longevity while Heavy-Duty Boots ameliorates Kyurem's unfortunate Stealth Rock matchup. Magnezone acts as a great teammate alongside Kyurem due to its ability to trap and deal with troublesome Steel-type Pokemon like Corviknight that threaten Kyurem. Magnezone is also capable of dealing with Fairy-types like Clefable that prove to be threatening for Kyurem.
If you have the room, I'd like to see some mentions of partners that can overload corviknight like sd lando or sd scizor since zone isn't necessarily the most practical partner. Honestly you could also just drop the zone mention and add mentions of mons that can also pressure clef alongside kyurem, like zera, pult, clef, w/e since realistically that's way more important than exclusively trapping corvi.
