Lapras's role on Ice teams is being bulky on Ice teams and providing immunity to Water-type attacks. Lapras uses Freeze-Dry to get past Water-type Pokemon such as Toxapex and Seismitoad. Choice Specs is used to give it a good boost of power allowing it to be a strong wallbreaker. Its EV investment allows it to be as tanky and strong as possible while outspeeding uninvested Tyranitar. Water Absorb allows it to come in on Water attacks for Ice teams and health back up some of its health.

All of its teammates appreciate Lapras's ability to switch-in to Water-type attacks. Vanilluxe provides another Aurora Veil setter for Ice teams. Galarian Darmanitan can break past Steel-types such as Ferrothorn and Bronzong with Flare Blitz. Avalugg can clear entry hazards with Rapid Spin and can tank physical attacks such as Barraskewda's Close Combat, while Froslass, Mamoswine, and Piloswine can set up hazards for Lapras. Mamoswine and Piloswine also provide Lapras with an Electric-type immunity. Weavile can revenge kill threats such as Dracozolt, Tyranitar, and Drednaw with Icicle Crash and Low Kick.

Lapras's role on Ice teams is being a bulky attacker and the Gigantamax Pokemon and main Dynamax abuser user on Ice teams thanks to its ability to set up Aurora Veil with G-Max Resonance. It can also set up rain with Max Geyser and Electric Terrain with Max Lightning, allowing it to break past Pokemon such as Aegislash and Corviknight with ease. Lapras uses Freeze-Dry (AH) to get past Water-type Pokemon such as Toxapex and Seismitoad. Choice Specs is used to give it a good boost of power outside of its Gigantamax form, (AC) allowing it to be a strong wallbreaker. Its EV investment allows it to be as tanky and strong as possible while outspeeding no investment uninvested Tyranitar. Its IVs allow it to take minimal damage from Foul Play. Water Absorb allows it to come in on Water attacks for Ice teams and health back up some of its health.

All of its teammates appreciate Gigantamax Lapras's ability to set up Aurora Veil and provide a switch into switch-in to Water-type attacks. Aurora Veil, in particular, helps teammates such as Nasty Plot Rotom-F and Shell Smash Cloyster have an easier time setting up. Vanilluxe also is provides another Aurora Veil setter for Ice teams, allowing Lapras to not be avoid being pressured into Gigantamaxing just to set up Aurora Veil. Galarian Darmanitan can break past Steel-types such as Ferrothorn and Bronzong for Lapras with Flare Blitz. Avalugg can clear entry hazards with Rapid Spin and can tank physical attacks such as Barraskewda's Close Combat for Lapras, (comma) while Froslass, Mamoswine, and Piloswine can set up hazards for Lapras. Mamoswine and Piloswine also provide Lapras with an Electric-type immunity. Weavile can revenge kill threats such as Dracozolt, Tyranitar, and Drednaw with Icicle Crash and Low Kick respectively.
