Dragon
========

Latias is an excellent revenge killer for Dragon teams thanks to its great Speed stat, good Special Attack, and Psychic typing allowing it to take care of Fighting- and Poison-types like Terrakion, Nihilego, and Galarian Weezing. Latias is a great Choice Scarf user that can revenge kill Pokemon like Dragonite after a Dragon Dance without Multiscale intact, 2HKO threats like Tapu Koko, and threaten fast Choice Scarf users like Terrakion, Nihilego, and Buzzwole. Latias also has utility options like Healing Wish and Defog, which let it fulfill a more supportive role. Levitate lets it serve as a Ground immunity and prevents it from being worn down by entry hazards. However, Latias faces competition with Latios as a revenge killer, as it has a better Special Attack and the ability to OHKO Choice Scarf Heracross and Terrakion without prior chip damage.

[SET COMMENTS]
Draco Meteor is Latias's strongest STAB attack and allows it to revenge kill opposing Dragon-types like Hydreigon, boosted Dragonite, and Kyurem while also heavily denting physically defensive walls like Hippowdon and Mandibuzz. Psychic is a more reliable STAB option that allows Latias to take care of troublesome Fighting- and Poison-types like Terrakion, Galarian Weezing, and Choice Specs Gengar. Healing Wish can be used to fully heal threatening setup sweepers like Dragon Dance Dragapult. Levitate lets Latias come in on Ground-type attacks from Pokemon like Hippowdon and makes it immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes. 252 Speed EVs with a Timid nature allow Latias to outpace Choice Scarf users like Terrakion and Buzzwole, Speed tie with Choice Scarf Latios, and outpace naturally faster threats like Dragapult and Weavile.

All teammates appreciate Latias's Healing Wish and Defog support. Hydreigon greatly helps against troublesome Steel-types such as Aegislash, Excadrill, and Skarmory. Garchomp is useful for Stealth Rock support to secure the OHKO on Terrakion and Heracross. Garchomp can also take care of Steel-types such as Excadrill and Heatran, wall Regieleki, and take out Volcarona with Stone Edge or a boosted Scale Shot. Dragapult is very helpful in the Ghost and Psychic matchups, as it handles Gengar, Spectrier, and Tapu Lele. It can also sweep in the Dragon mirror matchup after one Dragon Dance. Kyurem is a notable partner, as it tears apart Water- and Ground-types that Latias has trouble beating, like Tapu Fini, Slowbro, Hippowdon, and Gastrodon. Dragonite is a fearsome setup sweeper that greatly helps with troublesome Fairy-, Flying-, Steel-, and Dark-types like Tapu Koko, Mantine, Heatran, and Drapion. In return, Dragonite loves Latias's ability to take care of Terrakion and Buzzwole. Dragalge is great in the Fairy and Water matchups, as it can come in on Fairy-type attacks from Tapu Fini and Tapu Koko and use Toxic Spikes to make the Fairy and Normal matchups much easier. Dracovish excels at forcing switches and tearing apart defensive cores that Latias fails to do much against, such as Blissey + Porygon2 and Celesteela + Mantine + Zapdos, with its powerful STAB attacks and coverage moves like Stone Edge. In return, Latias threatens Keldeo and Toxicroak, which give it problems. Duraludon is also an option to provide Stealth Rock and take care of troublesome Fairy-types such as Mimikyu and Clefable. Kommo-o is an excellent partner that can greatly help in the Dark and Steel matchups that Latias cannot do much in.

Dragon
--------

Trick over Psychic or Draco Meteor can be an option to hinder special walls such as Blissey, Mantine, and Celesteela; however, it is hard to justify using it over either of these options, as losing Psychic prevents Latias from taking care of Choice Scarf Buzzwole and Heracross, while dropping Draco Meteor makes Latias unable to revenge kill boosted Dragonite and Choice Scarf Hydreigon.

Checks and Counters

**Steel-types**: Latias fails to do meaningful damage to Steel-types because they resist both of its attacks. Pokemon like Excadrill and Jirachi threaten Latias with their STAB moves, while Aegislash and Bisharp OHKO it. Bulky Steel-types like Celesteela, Skarmory, and Ferrothorn wall Latias and weaken it with Toxic or Leech Seed.

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types like Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Fini can tank Psychic and threaten Latias with their STAB attacks.

**Super Effective Attacks**: Mimikyu, Spectrier, Alolan Ninetales, and Weavile are all able to tank an attack from Latias and take care of it with their super effective attacks. Dragapult can also outpace and take care of Latias if it is running Choice Scarf or after a Dragon Dance. Mamoswine is also able to take care of a weakened Latias with Ice Shard.

**Specially Defensive Walls**: Walls like Blissey and Mantine are able to tank both of Latias's attacks and wear it down with attacks such as Seismic Toss, Scald, and Toxic.

**Status**: Paralysis makes Latias unable to outpace Dragapult and Weavile, while Toxic puts it on a timer.

* Latias also has access to utility moves such as Healing Wish and Defog. Healing Wish is the main reason to use it over Latios, as it can bring a teammate that has been worn down back to full health and get rid of status at the cost of losing Latias, while Defog is used to get rid of entry hazards that could prevent a teammate from staying healthy and unable to perform its sweep.
* However, Latias faces competition from Latios due to its better Special Attack stat allowing it to it securing the OHKO against Choice Scarf Heracross and Terrakion without chip damage.

[SET COMMENTS]

* Latias is great Choice Scarf user that can revenge kill Dragonite after it used Dragon Dance, 2HKO Tapu Koko and can take care of fast Choice Scarf users like Terrakion, Nihilego, and Buzzwole.
* Draco Meteor is Latias greatest STAB attack, that allows it to revenge kill opposing Dragon-types like Hydregion, a boosted Dragonite(using Dragonite too much as an example, switch it up.), and Kyurem.
* Psychic allows Latias to take care of troublesome Fighting- and Poison-types like Terrkaion, Urshifu-R, Kommo-o, Galarian Weezing, and Choice Specs Gengar.(different examples)
* Healing Wish can be used mid- to late-game to bring back a hindered teammate back to full health and get rid of status.
* Defog is useful to get rid of entry hazards for its teammates that could get worn down or poison from Toxic Spikes(Spikes and Stealth Rock can also "wear down teammates", Defog is dex data already though. You can probably merge the Hwish and Defog sentences and note them as its utility moves).
* Levitate is useful to come in on Earthquake from Hippowdon(this is pretty direct towards Hippowdon, I'd say something like "Levitate gives Latias opportunities to come into Ground-type attacks from x y z while also avoiding this and that) and makes Latias avoid Spikes and Toxic Spikes damage.
* 252 Speed with a Timid nature is used to outpace Dragapult, Choice Scarf Terrkaion, and Buzzwole, speed tie with Choice Scarf Latios and outpace Dragapult.

* All teammates appreciate Latias for being able to use Defog to get rid of troublesome entry hazards, and being able to use Healing Wish once to bring one of them back to full health and get rid of status.
* Hydregion is a great partner for Latias, as it can greatly help against troublesome Ghost- and Steel-types such as Aegislash, Excadrill and Skamory(how?).
* Garchomp can be useful for Stealth Rock support to secure the OHKO(I would just say it helps Latias secure the KO on x and y with Psychic after Stealth Rock) on Terrakion and Heracross. Garchomp is also very useful in taking care of Steel-type such as Excadrill and Heatran(how?), serve as an Electric-type immunity that helps wall Regieleki that can 2HKO Latias, and take care of Vulcocrona Volcarona with Stone Edge or a boosted Scale Shot. (pretty cluttered)
* Dragapult is very helpful in the Ghost- and the Psychic-type matchup as it can take care of Gengar, Spectrier and Tapu Lele(How?). It can also greatly help reverse sweep in the Dragon-type mirror after one Dragon Dance(with?).
* Kyurem is a notable partner as it can tear apart Water- and Ground-types that Latias has trouble beating like Tapu Fini, Slowbro, Hippowdon, and Gastrodon(how?) - Mention how it can use Substitute on passive Pokemon like Toxapex and Slowking..
* Dragonite is a fearsome setup sweeper that greatly helps with troublesome Fairy-,Flying-, Steel-, and Dark-types like Tapu Koko, Mantine Heatran, and Drapion(how?). Dragonite loves Latias for being able to take care of Terrakion and Buzzwole(how does Dragonite take care of Terrakion and Buzzwole.) that gives it problems(I'd say "could")
* Latios is free to run Calm Mind or a Choice Specs set, which both greatly help with taking care of Pokemon like Zapdos, Celesteela, Mantine and Skarmory.(what type of Pokemon are these and what moves does Latios have to deal with them?)
* Dragagle Dragalge is very useful in the Fairy- and Water-type matchup as it can come in on Fairy-type attacks from Tapu Fini and Tapu Koko and use Toxic Spikes to make the Fairy-, Normal-, and Water-type matchup more easily.
* Dracovish is great at forcing switches and tear apart defensive Poison-, Normal- and Flying-type cores like (add Poison examples) Blissey and Porygon2 and Celesteela and Zapdos with its powerful STAB attacks that just specify Fishious Rend and Outrage Latias has trouble beating. In return Latias can take care of Keldeo and Toxicroak (dies to Psychic Fangs) that can give it problems.
* Duraludon is also an option to use provide Stealth Rock and take care of troublesome Fairy-types such as Mimikyu and Clefable (how?, with what).

* Latias can use a Light Screen and Reflect set to help its teammates set up setup sweepers like x y z setup; however, Duraludon is suited better for this role due to it having Stealth Rock and can be used as a suicide lead, as Latias is need more so for speed control so Latios can run a more offesnive set.
* Psyshock can be used to make Latias able to take care of Blissey and revenege revenge kill a weakened Volcaniona Volcarona, however, this is not worthwhile because this means that Latias cannot check Choice Scarf Buzzwole and y as they can live a Psyshock and OHKO it with their Super effective attacks.
* Trick over Defog can be an option to hinder special walls such as Blissey, Mantine, and Celesteela; however it is hard to justify over Defog because it keeps Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock off that can hinder its teammates from sweeping.

[Psyshock isn't worth running, it doesn't secure any KOs that Psychic doesn't any it barely does 30 to Blissey so it isn't really "taking care" of Blissey either. The higher BP of Psychic is better and preferred more. Same with screens, that's extremely niche and hasn't seen any meaningful usage ever.]

- this makes it sound like its psychic typing allows it to check setup sweepers. after galarian weezing end the sentence and talk about its revenge killing capability with choice scarf. look at set comments for this.
Latias also has Levitate which makes it serve as a Ground immunity and not affected by hazards Spikes, Toxic Spikes, or Sticky Web.

Latias is great Choice Scarf user that can revenge kill Pokemon like Dragonite after a Dragon Dance provided Multiscale is broken, 2HKO threats like Tapu Koko and can take care of fast Choice Scarf users like Terrakion, Nihilego, and Buzzwole. - move this into where I said in the overview
Defog is useful to get rid of entry hazards like Stealth Rocks, Spikes, and Toxic Spikes for its teammates that could wear down or poison them.
- again you don't need to list the entry hazards unless its specific like toxic spikes, just say entry hazards here. remove this everywhere just refer to it as hazards

Trick over Psychic or Draco Meteor can be an option to hinder special walls such as Blissey, Mantine, and Celesteela; however it is hard to justify over Defog because it keeps Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock off that can hinder its teammates from sweeping.
- these two points do not relate to each other at all. talk to me on discord

[checks and counters]
- only tapu lele and specs koko can ohko latias with their fairy stab, so instead of saying OHKO make it threaten Latias with ....
- you can remove trick from spd walls, if its in oo no need to mention it in checks & counters
- latias doesn't appreciate being poisoned by toxic either, include that in the status section

Draco Meteor is Latias's greatest strongest STAB attack,(RC) which and allows it to revenge kill opposing Dragon-types like Hydregion Hydreigon, a boosted Dragonite, and Kyurem while also heavily denting physically defensive walls like Hippowdon and Mandibuzz. Psychic is a more reliable STAB option as opposed to Draco Meteor and that allows Latias to take care of troublesome Fighting- and Poison-types like Terrakion, Galarian Weezing, and Choice Specs Gengar. Defog is useful to get rid of entry hazards for its teammates that could wear down or poison them.(This is just dex info rn. Maybe list some situations or scenarios where these moves are useful?) Levitate is useful lets Latias to come in on Ground-type attacks from Pokemon like Hippowdon and makes Latias it immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes damage. 252 Speed EVs with a Timid nature allows Latias to outpace Choice Scarf users like Terrkaion Terrakion and Buzzwole, Speed(Capitalize) tie with Choice Scarf Latios, and outpace naturally faster threats like Dragapult and Weavile.

**Steel-types**: Latias fails to do meaningful damage to any Steel-types Pokemon because they resist both of its attacks. Pokemon like Excadrill and Jirachi can take care of it with their STAB moves, while Aegislash and Bisharp can use their super-effective attacks to OHKO Latias, and bulky Pokemon like Celesteela, Skarmory, and Ferrothorn can wall Latias, and use Toxic and/or Leech Seed. **Super-(RH)Effective Attacks**: Mimikyu, Spectrier, Alolan Ninetales, and Weavile are all able to tank an attack from Latias attack and take care of it with their Super-Effective attacks. Dragapult can also outpace and take care of Latias if it is running Choice Scarf or after a Dragon Dance. Mamoswine is also able to take care of a weakened Latias with Ice Shard.

**Special Defense Specially Defensive Walls**: Walls like Blissey and Mantine are able to tank both of Latias's attacks and be able to slowly wear it down with their passive attacks. (what is "passive attacks"? Do you just mean "attacks and status"?)

**Status**: Latias hate getting paralyzed as it makes it unable to outpace Dragapult and Weavile or Toxic makes Latias be on a timer. Paralysis makes Latias unable to outpace Dragapult and Weavile, while Toxic puts it on a timer.

"take care of" is overly used in the analysis, so I changed up several instances of it. GP 1/2. [DC, 449990]

[OVERVIEW]

Dragon
========

Draco Meteor is Latias's strongest STAB attack and allows it to revenge kill opposing Dragon-types like Hydreigon, a boosted Dragonite, and Kyurem while also heavily denting physically defensive walls like Hippowdon and Mandibuzz. Levitate lets Latias to come in on Ground-type attacks from Pokemon like Hippowdon and makes it immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes.

Hydregion Hydreigon greatly helps against troublesome Steel-types such as Aegislash, Excadrill, and Skarmory. Dragapult is very helpful in the Ghost- (RH) and Psychic-type matchups, as it handles Gengar, Spectrier, and Tapu Lele. It can also sweep in the Dragon-type mirror matchup after one Dragon Dance. Dragagle Dragalge is great in the Fairy- (RH) and Water-type matchups, as it can come in on Fairy-type attacks from Tapu Fini and Tapu Koko and use Toxic Spikes to make the Fairy- (RH) and Normal-type matchups much easier. Dracovish excels at forcing switches and tearing apart defensive cores that Latias fails to do much against, such as Blissey and + Porygon2 and Celesteela + Mantine + and (commas -> plus signs) Zapdos, with its powerful STAB attacks and coverage moves like Stone Edge. In return, Latias threatens Keldeo and Toxicroak, which give it problems. Duraludon is also an option to provide Stealth Rock and take care of troublesome Fairy-types such as Mimikyu and Clefable. Kommo-o is an excellent partner that can greatly help in the Dark- (RH) and Steel-type matchups that Latias cannot do much in.

Other Options
=============

Dragon

===================

Dragon
--------

**Super Effective Attacks**: Mimikyu, Spectrier, Alolan Ninetales, and Weavile are all able to tank an attack from Latias attack and take care of it with their Super-Effective super effective attacks. Dragapult can also outpace and take care of Latias if it is running Choice Scarf or after a Dragon Dance. Mamoswine is also able to take care of a weakened Latias with Ice Shard.

**Specially Defensive Walls**: Walls like Blissey and Mantine are able to tank both of Latias's attacks and slowly wear it down with their passive attacks. (what is "passive attacks"? Do you just mean "attacks and status"?) (leftover from previous check but the point still definitely stands)

**Status**: Paralysis makes Latias unable to outpace Dragapult and Weavile, while Toxic puts it on a timer.
