Latias's offensive prowess combined with having a great typing and bulk makes it one of the best Pokemon in the tier. Calm Mind Latias is a phenomenal wallbreaker and can also act as a great late-game wincon. Dragonium Z allows Latias to break past Quagsire, Mega Slowbro, Alomomola, and some variants of Scizor after a boost. Psyshock allows Latias to beat other Calm Mind users such as Suicune and punish bulkier walls that normally check it like Blissey. However, Latias struggles to break through the tier's bulky Steel-types with only running its dual STAB moves. While Latias has a good set of resistances, its typing leaves it prone to Pursuit from threats such as Krookodile and Scizor. Teammates like Cobalion and Infernape are great partners for this reason, as they can scare these Pokemon from locking themselves into Pursuit. They both also pressure Blissey and the Steel-types that Latias appreciates help breaking through.
