Latios (M) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Luster Purge
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Agility / Recover

Breaking teams like they're the sound barrier, Latios bursts onto the scene with immense speed and power! This set opts for the infamous BoltBeam combo, aiding its Dragon-type teammates by dispatching troublesome foes like Primarina and Gliscor while putting immense pressure on Tornadus-T. Latios becomes a great cleaner with Agility, outpacing the entire metagame and picking off weakened foes, notably Dragapult and Zamazenta. Alternatively, Recover allows Latios to stay in the game longer, giving it an edge against Ground teams using sand to wear it down. With Levitate and a Fighting resistance, Latios is a great partner for Archaludon and Hisuian Goodra, covering their only two weaknesses. In return, Archaludon and Hisuian Goodra use their great bulk and Steel typing to cover for Latios's weaknesses, beating the likes of Roaring Moon and Flutter Mane, respectively. Special walls like Alolan Muk and Heatran will give this set trouble, making Garchomp and Gouging Fire great teammates for Latios, the latter being neutral to Fairy and Ice as well.

"Latios becomes a great cleaner with Agility, outpacing the entire metagame and picking off weakened foes."
- ik its pretty general but i would add some foes its picking off like Zamazenta

- idk the line count rn but i would also mention what arch and hoodra does for lati in return (arch dealing with roaring moon while hoodra takes out flutter mane. (if line count too high already then no need but thats just me haha.)

tmk spotlights don't feature set names, and the mention of speed in the first sentence isn't referring to the Speed stat itself, but rather the quickness of Latios's design. lmk if that changes anything
