LC Mienfoo

Mienfoo @ Eviolite
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 5
EVs: 156 HP / 196 Def / 116 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 29 Spe
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Knock Off
- U-turn

This slower Mienfoo set serves as a bulky pivot, dropping the conventional 17 Speed in order to provide slow U-turn support to more fragile teams. Mienfoo uses a combination of Fake Out, Knock Off, and High Jump Kick to wear down opposing teams, then uses U-turn where a teammate would have a more beneficial matchup. Mienfoo uses 10 Speed to use U-turn after Mareanie and opposing Mienfoo act. Life Orb Diglett is an excellent partner to Mienfoo, trapping Mareanie and non-Eviolite Mienfoo after U-turn. Diglett can also use Final Gambit to always KO opposing Mienfoo and Beat Up to remove Psychic-types that threaten Mienfoo like Abra and Galarian Ponyta. Some wallbreakers that appreciate Mienfoo’s slow U-turn are Carvanha, Abra, and Choice Scarf Porygon; these three Pokémon also threaten Koffing, which can deny Mienfoo Regenerator recovery with Neutralizing Gas and take Eviolite with Thief.

Mienfoo uses 10 Speed to underspeed Pokémon like opposing Mienfoo and Mareanie and slow U-turn out. Life Orb Diglett is an excellent partner to Mienfoo, trapping Mareanie and Eviolite-less opposing Mienfoo after a slow U-turn. Diglett also has access to Beat Up, allowing it to remove dangerous Psychic-types like Abra and Galarian Ponyta that can do heavy damage to Mienfoo. Mention that Diglett can also guarantee the removal of threats like Mienfoo with Final Gambit+U-Turn chip Some wallbreakers that appreciate Mienfoo’s ability to bring them in safely with a slow U-turn are Carvanha, Abra, and Scarf Porygon; these three Pokémon also threaten Koffing, which can deny Mienfoo Regenerator recovery with Neutralizing Gas and Thief its Eviolite.

This slower Mienfoo set serves as a bulky pivot, dropping the conventional 17 Speed in order to provide slow U-turn support to more fragile teams. Mienfoo uses a combination of Fake Out, Knock Off, (comma) and High Jump Kick to wear down opposing teams, then uses U-turn once where a teammate would have a more beneficial matchup. Life Orb Diglett is an excellent partner to Mienfoo, trapping Mareanie and Eviolite-less opposing non-Eviolite Mienfoo after a slow U-turn. Diglett can also use Final Gambit to remove opposing Mienfoo after a slow U-turn, without even requiring the removal of the Mienfoo’s Eviolite always KO opposing Mienfoo and Beat Up to remove Psychic-types that threaten Mienfoo like Abra and Galarian Ponyta. Diglett, finally, also has access to Beat Up, allowing it to remove dangerous Psychic-types like Abra and Galarian Ponyta that can do heavy damage to Mienfoo.
