A sub is expected to be able to play if subbed in. You benchwarming without ever being allowed to play would steal the opportunity to actually sub in and play from someone eligible.guys can you tell me something... can i get drafted in LCSL and benchwarm without playing if i have not signed up for LCPL since the rules say you must have signed up for LCPL and gone undrafted to be eligible to play but the rules dont say anything about being a sub without playing
Just get active on LC Discord and mayyyyyybee a scrub team will add you to their disc. What if a team wants me anyways... there arent many signups for LCSL if i can help my team with teambuilding it would be fine+ there are many subs in many teams who never play even though they can play if needed and there are 2 subs in 1 team i know that a team should put full pressure on 1 sub but if that sub has availability i dont see why i shouldnt get a chance
You can just help a team with teambuilding regardless. The main reason why (in my opinion) players arent allowed to sign up for LCSL without signing up for LCPL is because of the LCPL midseason pickup - a top player could not signup for lcpl, then sign up for the scrub league and join a team in midseason for free where they would go for full price in auction.
Kills the spirit of the tournament. This tour is for people who would not have been drafted in lcpl this year to show, for future teamtournaments, that they are good enough to be worth picking up. Letting people who didn't sign up for LCPL initially play allows for too many dumb situations like letting Pap play who'd go for 15k+ in the current LCPL draft. If you didn't sign up for LCPL, you didn't take the chance. Let those who did and didn't get it have a new one.Well we can consider let people play scrub league but not be elegible for pickup on the mid season, maybe allowing everyteam to pick 2 of the players that didnt signup for LCPL first but like wouldnt it like just kill the spirit of this tournament?
