Helios brought a rather stacked team, with Groudon and Heatran bringing literal firepower to the table, but also the recently powered-up Butterfree! Will this be the first G-Max Befuddle ever?
DAT help me Meowscarada, Colossoil and Dragonite round out a goodstuffs team, though one wonders how good a Multiscale-less Dragonite can be.
Prismat brought the Gimmick Special to today's battle! With Shuckle, Delcatty, Spinda and Pyukumuku on the team, this is shaping up to be very unusual indeed. The choice of items is interestingly more standard, but hey, can't go too wild either. I like the inclusion of Blacephalon here as a more straightforward attacker. I wonder how Prismat will react to Helios's team!

And we open this match slowly as both teams take time to prepare the battlefield, with Heatran pressuring with rocks and Prismat making sure no status will get past his impenetrable line of defense. With a grand total of one damage this round (don't tell Eve), I wonder if this setup will lead to more explosive trades later on, or if this will be a war of attrition... Now let's see what Prismat can do, staring down Heatran like he does.

Ah, now we start seeing some damage! From, uh, Shuckle, at least. What a sentence. Through stat boosting, Prismat overcame Shuckle's abysmal offenses and delivered a good hit on Heatran! It certainly didn't help that Heatran barely missed a Magma Storm that could have retaliated in terms of damage...
Now Prismat will have his choice of matchup AND second order, but Shuckle's boosts will go away. What will come of that?

Now we're starting to see real damage come in! Exeggutor is a much more offensively-inclined Pokemon, and that double weakness to Ground leaves Heatran teetering... but it's still standing! While Prismat's setup paid off, those rocks are going to be annoying for him to deal with, and Helios is now free from any constraint against a lv1 mon with a limited movepool. Can he save Heatran somehow, and turn the situation around?

An unfortunate miss prevents Prismat from overwhelming Butterfree this round, while Helios's only damage comes from Stealth Rock.
