If there ever was someone to be jaded from extensive combat, it'd be Dimitri. As a Bisharp, he basically has all the tools he needs to be brutally effective in any battle... and he often can be, but he won't like it one bit. He'd once walked a bloody path, without much consideration for emotion, mercy, or decency. He was good at it. Too good, in fact.
One day, something clicked in him, and looking at his bloodied past, he came to despise brute force, and as a result, despise himself. Profoundly affected by how he turned out, he now appears extremely cold and rude, but that is only a facade: he doesn't feel like he deserves to be around other beings, and at the same time fears what he could do to his friends should he relapse into his blood frenzy.

Magnolia was the first to wake me up... as a Ralts again. Quite flustered herself, she explained that we somehow managed to slip through a space-time rift and end up in an alternate dimension where she and the others never evolved. Understandably, she was pissed at here renewd weakness -something she thought a thing of the past. However, she chose to set out one again with me and gain that power back.
Due to her past experience, it was but a formality to get back to her regular power level, though she claims wavering patterns in lunar energy keep her from accessing her true power. We'll see about that, because I have a feeling our quest is far from over...

Pre-match:
- Politoed/Gliscor/Gardevoir/Kingambit vs Salazzle (2)/Miasmaw (2)/Weezing-G (1)/Zangoose (3)/Ursaring (2)/Luxray (2)
- Very Guts-heavy team, half of it has a bad matchup against Gliscor, all are susceptible to Skill Swap
- Salazzle has a lot of utility, WoW, Fake Out, Disable… Might lose 1v1 against Garde or forced to combo, especially if trying to set Fog, also a bad matchup against Gliscor (EQ 3HKOs) and Politoed… I wonder if Hyjack will send it out at all
- Miasmaw doesn’t have much against Gliscor but it turns off Poison Heal which is annoying, is slightly faster (can fish for flinches with Dragon Hammer) and can Scale Shot to disrupt Sky Attack if needed. It sort of murders Politoed with Megahorn and Kingambit with Close Combat… might be something for Garde to deal with, though Gunk Shot/Iron Tail HURTS. Moonblast deals 26 (no Pixilate), which trades with Gunk Shot but Miasmaw has more HP and First Impression to seal the deal VERY DANGEROUS THREAT
- Weezing-G gets absolutely melted by Synchronoise from Garde of all moves?? Deals 33 which is a very clean 3HKO. Gliscor is a slapfest that Weezing wins because of WoW and NGas. Politoed gets Psychic and is faster so it should win a straight 1v1, though as always Toxic muddies the waters. Trades iffy with Kingambit (Iron Head vs Flamethrower but Weezing is faster)
- Zangoose is hyper dangerous. It gets Close Combat for Kingambit (deals 28!), Blizzard or Ice Beam/Punch for Gliscor (36 or 28 respectively), and Poison Jab or even Gunk Shot for Garde (24/30 respectively). Interestingly doesn’t have much for Politoed (Mega Kick deals 22 while Focus Blast deals 21, can also potentially use Skull Bash). Garde can perhaps Trace Toxic Boost if poisoned to throw out deadly Aura Spheres or Focus Blasts VERY DANGEROUS THREAT
- I should have brought Safety Goggles
- Ursaring is pretty much the same thing. Tough on Garde (Shadow Claw/Gunk Shot), Kingambit (a billion Fighting moves, Atk + Def aid), Politoed (Thunder Punch/Seed Bomb) and Gliscor (Ice Punch). Garde might actually be my best bet here wtf
- Luxray is trouble if it gets Air Balloon. It outpaces EQ with Ice Fang (deals 24 against 21) though is slower and must be wary of Sand Veil. Superpower deals 30 to Kingambit but after that there’s nothing very threatening and it can be Metal Bursted. Murders Politoed. Gets Iron Tail for Garde and it cannot do much in return (maybe Pixilate Hyper Beam?)
- I think I lead Garde to prevent the two Smog setters from coming in for free. Forcing team reveal through Red Card is going to be crucial so I can use my third team member for added flexibility.

Round 1:
Salazzle came out after all and will likely set Fog, I have two paths:
- Confusion > Icy Wind means I take 4 damage and prevent Fog but have to order first
- Psychic Terrain > Expanding Force means I take damage from Poison AND let in a threat but I deal (12+3+2+7)*1.5 = 36 damage
Path 1 means I have to press my advantage next round but I cannot prevent Smog from going up I think, though Salazzle cannot protect S1 which is huge since it means I get 2 attacks in, probably something like Psychic x3 which does KO since (9+3+7)*1.5 = 28.5  29 x 3 = 87, with subs for Disable, Protection, maybe Thunder Wave and Poison (Heal Bell though)

Round 2:
The goal is to use Psychic as much as possible since I don’t think I can stop Smog from coming in, so I’ll have to stall it out

Misty Terrain is actually better here
You know I could actually have used Misty Terrain round 1, thinking about it

Round 3:
Round 2 wasn’t as much damage as I’d have liked. I should have dropped the sleep sub and doubled up on the Decoy sub
Zangoose w/ Watmel Berry comes up which will likely hurt
I see once again two paths:
- Confuse Ray | Misty Terrain | X which shares the pain (results in Rock Tomb | combo | Shadow Claw) and means Hyjack’s strategy fails + I can switch to Gliscor and still be affected by Poison Heal. Zangoose deals (6+5+3)+(12+5+3)*1.5+(7+5+3)*1.5 = 67 without taking Poison into account
- Skill Swap | X | X which defangs Zangoose significantly and provides Garde with a big power bonus due to Toxic Boost at the cost of Zangoose getting Pixilate, results in Facade x3 which is (14+2+3) which is 19 so 57 damage total, while Psychic then deals (9+3+5+7) which is 24. Aura Sphere next round deals (8+5+7)*1.5 = 30 and I’m still faster and I can try Focus Blast for (12+5+7)*1.5 = 36
Skill Swap + Confuse Ray means that Zangoose takes 30 more damage so 30+24*2+1+2+3 = 84 so it’s not worth sacrificing 2 tech for it
Skill Swap lasts until removed from play so I don’t have to worry about it expiring

Round 4:
Aura Sphere deals 30 and Poison deals 3 so 1 off a KO but that leaves Zangoose almost dead
Aura Sphere | Vacuum Wave | Vacuum Wave
IF Protection THEN Calm Mind and push back
IF Upper Hand THEN Aura Sphere
IF priority attack in a combination THEN Protect and push back
I don’t need to sub for Feint in a combination since it doesn’t bypass Protection then, though Zangoose having a free tech is annoying. Feint + Iron Tail (max BAP) isn’t enough to KO so I should be good anyway?
Perhaps I should sub for Gunk Shot specifically since it’s the only thing I can see that can KO me
Well no there’s also any combo like (Poison jab + Close Combat) so there might be no point

Round 5:
Maximized damage, got lucky, unga bunga

Round 6:
Gliscor is an obvious sendout and I want to equip Focus Sash to minimize damage taken here.
Earthquake would be (10+3)*2*0.5 = 13, Earth Power (9+3-1)*2*0.5 = 11
Protect sub with Stealth Rock & Sandstorm, IF able sub with Earthquake, we don’t really care about being burned as long as this goes down, maybe a second IF able sub?
This loses to Rest | Sleep Talk | Fake Out so I need to prepare for that line, which means Focus Sash isn’t the play
The other defensive play is Protect | Fake Out | Protect and pivot out, in which case SR is very necessary
Probably Leftovers to stack healing with Poison Heal actually
