League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

Is anyone else not able to get into a game, see their ip or rp, see the store icon, see their profile, or see their friends list?

After the patch, my client is totally fucked. My two friends who downloaded the patch at the same time as me didn't have this issue. I even tried it on another laptop's client and my account worked.

After all that, I decided to re-install, but that didn't work either. Is my only option to wait...

Same thing happened to me but I reinstalled and it is working now.
Maybe try repairing the files?

Got my second ever penta kill today in a ranked game (as Renekton of course).

Utterly pissed off because a Rammus and Vayne consistently threw the game despite my great efforts to tell them not to initiate by themselves constantly, so despite the Penta, it was still a loss.

;_;

when you get red, blue, baron, and elixirs all at the same time, ryze is sorta strong idk

^^work on last hitting. 100 cs in 47 minutes is very low. Ryze does have a moderate difficulty in farming though, with his terrible autoattack (i'm still working on this asdf. It's soo bad ;__;) and lack of a high damage aoe outside of his ult. Just last hit with Q when you have a tear/blue/a decent mana pool. Also consider taking ignite over Ghost

What would you say Hecarim's fun factor is? I've never seen him carry.. and I sort of want that shiny new champ.. but Im not sure.
his fun factor would be that he's a GIANT HORSE THING and you can charge into battle. his ult is very similar to malphite's ult, which i consider to be one of the most fun ults in the game.

really, though, he seems to be a worse skarner with better initiation. he's not particularly fast and his ganks aren't amazing if the enemy is warding properly. his sustain is meh and if you build damage, he dies too fast since he has to initiate, but if you build tanky, you do very little damage. maxing Q first is better for damage but is a less efficient jungle, but maxing W makes your ganks weaker. it's tough to optimize him and i'm sure he'll be better once people properly learn to build him, but right now i don't see him being that amazing.

varus, on the other hand...

I still don't fully understand why people insist on playing Hecarim as a jungler... Both spells that he can actually use in the Jungle are considerably reduced in effectiveness against minions. If he goes top lane those spells aren't inhibited and with them he simply out damages nearly every lane opponent he faces. There's only a few champs that can hope to trade with him and from what I've heard they turn the lane only into stalemates, and not outright losses.

Other added benefit of going top over jungle, is that the rushed TriForce doesn't hurt a top laner as much as it would hurt a Jungler. Once he has the TForce he does plenty damage and can start building bruiser with tanky DPS items and rely on his W to survive fights, or if need be build regular tanky items if his W isn't enough.

To get a lot of sustain from his W you need to actually fight your lane opponent - not harass (his harass is mediocre at best and is completely limited to melee range) but actually dual your lane opponent. And to be quite honest, it doesn't look like Hecarim will be able to trade as well as Renekton, Riven, Udyr, Lee Sin, etc. They all either outdamage him or out-sustain him. It also doesn't change the fact that you will push your lane like a fucker, between spamming Q to "harass" (read: fight) and using W to sustain (whereas Udyr has Turtle Stance which pushes a lot less, Lee Sin has Safeguard/Iron Will which doesn't push the lane anywhere as quickly as Hecarim, etc).

So: outdamaged by most common top laners, pushes lane at least as well as Mordekaiser and Rumble (congratulations???), and apart from Flash, his best escape is to run really fast (unless you plan to use your R to escape, at which point you may as well not play him).

Speaking of his R, that's probably the only reason to play him (it ties in with him being a motherfucking CENTAUR). It's an excellent ganking tool (unless, of course, you're top), and can turn a fight around at least as well as Lee Sin's R. Sending him top means that you're only really using your R late game (or as an escape mechanism, at which point don't even bother playing him and play Ezreal or Corki or some shit); so it's cut to about 50% effectiveness.

Honestly, I have faced hecarim 4-5 times in top lane and have stomped the shit out of him every time. He has very weak damage, negligible sustain, and is very frail. I think he can be decent as a jungler because his cc is strong once he gets his ult, but right now he seems pretty underpowered.

I can't personally argue against what you say as I suck as the champ myself, but that whole last post was basically from my friend who mains top lane and went from 1700 to Plat simply by using Hecarim (Though he lost a few and is back down to 1850).

From what he tells me he simply never stops pressing Q and is always sitting on the lane opponent because they can't out DPS him past initial burst since his Q CD is just too low. He's said he's had personal experience beating Udyr, Lee Sin and Renketon by simply Qing through their sustain/shields and while they wait for Cooldowns he still harasses. He also says the tricky lanes are Skarner, Riven and Kennen. Skarner matches DPS, Riven trades efficiently with her shield stun and mobility, and Kennen is just wily in the lane. But while tricky, they are still very winnable lanes, it just takes effort/ganks/outplaying the opponent.

Mr.E you've been complaining about certain characters not being free for weeks now. You should be thrilled that Shaco is free for the first time in about two years.

shaco has been free more recently than either udyr or akali to be fair, what i don't get is why the list i've seen for this week has 3 450 champions... (but also ahri and corki and i wanted to try both so that's good!)

Urgot was free late march. He's also been free quite frequently, having been so 5 times after Season 1 ended.

Rumble hasn't been free in a while, having only been free late September last year. However, given that a lot of champions who don't normally get free weeks have gotten free weeks (Karth comes to mind, as do Trundle, Dr. Mundo, and Gragar,) I'm guessing Riot has Rumble on their radar for free weeks.

Incidentally, it's Evelynn that gets the "least seen ever" award, having not been free since 2010...
