League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

My lineup was literally Doublelift + the rest of EG, so I switched the top laner.

Now it's Doublelift + Krepo + Darien + Froggen + Snoopeh.

I wanted more CLG.NA players tbh because they will ruin their scene, but then I didn't want to pick them after all.

{ 09:32:03 AM } <&Miffy> also the reason eg players are cheap phiddle
{ 09:32:06 AM } <&Miffy> is because you are penalised for game length
{ 09:32:18 AM } <+Phiddlesticks> oh well
{ 09:32:22 AM } <+Phiddlesticks> fuck it, EG for life

(+ recent mediocre performance maybe)

ETA: lol oops EG don't even have match this week + my lineup didn't submit fsr so I will redraft.

my lineup for fantasy league is doublelift/nrated/alex inch/voyboy/theoddone, I actually think nrated was undervalued and by the time I got to junglers the only player I could afford was oddone but I don't mind that because the junglers score is usually pretty random anyway (generally just comes down to whether or not they were winning/losing the game).

So Shaco calls jungle and Amumu instalocks. Shaco still goes into the jungle and everyone complains for the first 20 minutes. I just keep farming mid and refuse to die when ganked. We eventually win teamfights and push to victory.

Moral of the story: there's always hope when you're playing Karma.

I have to say the league system really is amazing in the way it mentally effects players. i can already tell it is having a positive effect on myself after being dropped into gold 2 platinum felt much more attainable after a few games. Instead of being 150 elo away i am only 2 divisions and i am way more likely to work with..... shall we call them "stubborn individuals" in solo que now.

Now as far as breaking the system goes in a few experiments douing with silver 1-2 players it seemed to pit us against gold4 ish rather consistently and normally with what i am guessing a 200 elo gap between me and my dou i would gain 10 ish elo a game and lose 15-16 elo or more. In the new system however it appears that the game considers this fair across the board as my dou partner and i were gaining roughly the same points if we were to solo que. Still need more experiments with lower elo individuals however my first question is what if i dou with someone who has tanked their MMR well below normal? They will gain very few LP's but what about me? will it still give me the normal 19-21 gain/loss i am seeing atm?

Also try a flask/3pots-> Tear->Morelos->voidstaff core on lux sometime i only have one game that i messed with it in but while the tear sets back your kill power you rarely if ever go oom and you become MUCH safer in lane to the extent i can usually delay putting off tier1 boots until after morelos when team fights start up thanks to 340 base ms of lux.

You'll never get that thing charged up enough for it to be viable, Athene's>Tear+Morello unless the opponents have a high sustain champ like Warwick, Fiddles, Swain, Sion or whatever. Even then, you're better off getting only Morello and spending that gold you wasted spent on Tear on Sorc's boots instead.

yeah don't get tear on lux, you don't really spam too much and morello/grail individually should typically be enough in terms of mana sustain

morellonomicon is seeing a lot more use lately because it gives a ridiculous amount of stats for its price

Think of tear as being that chalice you build then don't rush athenes and yes by 30 minutes in when you have your core it is pretty close to stacked and the new tear item is 120 ap + loads of mana and your late game power to clear waves without blue shoots up dramatically. i was skeptical at first as well but it really does give lux an option to strength her late game a lot by sacrificing the very early game and it is very viable.

how is: 2 divisions look closer to plat than older system :\

u r 200 lp + a bunch of placement matches away, old system u were just 150 elo away

You know who I've found that Tear is a great item to nab on? Syndra.

On first back, upgrade your Faerie Charm (spelling?) into that sucker and start charging it up. Solves a lot of the mana problems Syndra has, and usually by the time you've gotten through the build I do in the beginning (Tear-Dorans-Dorans-shoes-Sorc-Needless-DFG), you're already sitting at around 500-600 bonus mana already. Once you finally get Archangel's, at that level it's almost no time till it transforms, especially with the +4-per-spell becoming +6-per-spell with Arch. There have been games that I buy Arch only to have it instantly transform.

Another topic, that Armguard item that not goes into Hourglass seems pretty freakin awesome. +15 armor and AP just for killing 30 units? It's a reverse BT.

isn't the correct grammatical convention to add just an apostrophe if the subject is a plural form of a noun but to add apostrophe + s if the subject is a singular proper noun that ends in "s"

for example if a woman was called Jess and she owned a cat then wouldn't it be referred to as "Jess's cat" instead of "Jess' cat"

of course i'm interpreting uncle sam's post as sarcasm but his "gj riot" might be very wholehearted in which case yes they did do a good job with the grammar

I knew people would bring it up but getting a Tear charged on Lux isn't that bad. And as a champion who has generally incredible range when she feels like abusing it, she's a better champion than most at investing in a pure offensive item such as Archangel's. also cath plays lux more than all of you and he probably knows what he's talking about (but that isn't a real argument)

Shit that ends in S you can either use apostrophe-S or just the apostrophe to denote possession. Some people do the former to be consistent with the standard convention (everything that doesn't end in S), some do the latter because it's less characters. I'm pretty sure either are "correct."

A fully stacked Seeker's Armguard gives as much armor as sunfire cape.

I personally think it's a pretty balanced item, but they'll probably nerf it anyways just because the above statement sounds completely ridiculous.

I think it's gonna become pretty standard to rush Seeker's Armguard for AP Carries (after Chalice probably though) because it's just such a fantastic item in so many ways. Plus it builds into Zhonya's, and I'm sure we all know how great that item is.

A true grammar nazi takes offense at completely subjective grammatical choices.

Maybe so.

But this is an objective grammatical error. And I think League suffers enough ridicule that it could do without spelling mistakes within their own client to boot.

On that note did anyone else find this one of the most hilarious videos they've seen in a while? Because I did.
