League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

Maybe so.

But this is an objective grammatical error. And I think League suffers enough ridicule that it could do without spelling mistakes within their own client to boot.

On that note did anyone else find this one of the most hilarious videos they've seen in a while? Because I did.

I found it pretty absurd. The music was pretty cool but other than that it was just a bunch of weird-ass looking dudes running through hallways, essentially.

I'm in a league named Ziggs's Blades. That's right. Not Ziggs' Blades. Ziggs's Blades.

According to article IV in Oxford's rules of apostrophes:

Personal names that end in –s

With personal names that end in -s: add an apostrophe plus s when you would naturally pronounce an extra s if you said the word out loud:

He joined Charles’s army in 1642.
Dickens's novels provide a wonderful insight into Victorian England.
Thomas's brother was injured in the accident.

Note that there are some exceptions to this rule, especially in names of places or organizations, for example:

St Thomas’ Hospital

If you aren’t sure about how to spell a name, look it up in an official place such as the organization’s website.

With personal names that end in -s but are not spoken with an extra s: just add an apostrophe after the -s:

The court dismissed Bridges' appeal.
Connors' finest performance was in 1991.

Because you pronounce the extra s after the name, Ziggs, it is actually correct to punctuate the possessive form of this said name to "Ziggs's". This exception in punctuation differs from other variations of names that end in an s such as the name, Thomas, as stated in the example, in which an apostrophe would come after the s in such a case.

Rules for such elision dated as far back as the 16th century, introduced by Geoffroy Tory, as an attempt to imitate the French language. However, standardization did not follow through until the 18th century, and was not universally accepted until the 19th century. Since then, however, this rule has existed and has not changed, and many fluent English speakers incorrectly punctuate the possessive form of cases like "Ziggs's" because it simply appears strange relative to what is normally seen.

isnt the real problem not that its ziggs's blades but that its not, in some form, ziggs's bombs?

So why is Riot screwing over AP CDR items even more on the PBE?

It's like they want to completely wipe out the traditional AP Carry or something. Good lord, Riot. Oh well. It's been easy to be successful lately just counter-picking and running Pantheon mid whenever a mage is picked on the enemy team.

Read the part on Thomas' Hospital in the part you quoted and you'll see why Ziggs' Blades is the correct form.

Blaze and Frost have dropped Azubu as sponsors and are officially CJ Entus Blaze and CJ Entus Frost now.

The former CJ Entus roster will have the opportunity to sub for the former Azubu teams but realistically only Space and inSec (the AD and support) have a shot. Space is on par, if not better than Woong, but Woong is Frost's captain and decides picks and bans, strategies, timings, and overall coordination. inSec is an amazing jungler and will possibly be able to replace Helios, who has been lackluster as of late.

Some comments were made that gave the impression that it's possible that certain people may switch from Blaze to Frost and vice versa; I don't know how realistic this is, but I do know that replacing Woong with Cpt Jack would mechanically make for one of the scariest teams in the world (there is still the issue of the team lacking a captain if Woong leaves, though).

Well it took way longer than it should have but I finally moved up to Plat again, now in the league Soraka's Duelists which I have no problems with grammatically.

I'm 99.9% sure I read somewhere that the reason for AZF's success was because of how well CloudTemplar handles the picks/bans and strategies etc. Woong is only the captain because he's been around the longest, but really he's been the weak link of that team for months now (seriously the guy only won lane once at Season 2 Championships, and that was because Madlife single handedly manhandled TSM's bot lane).

Also, watching replays from OGN, KT Rolster B is the team to watch from Korea IMO. Even though they only finished 3rd, I feel that they would've taken a dump all over AZF and the only reason they lost to Najin was because they're a fairly new team and focused too much on Maknoon. Within a few months, they should be up there with the likes of WE and TPA.

Has anyone tried Twin Shadows if you're supporting against Twitch and Vayne? In theory it reveals them when they stealth but I don't know how beneficial that is.

It doesn't work when they're stealthed when you use it, you have to use it before they go into stealth.

As far as I know, once it locks on to a target, it hunts them down until it touches them. So vayne should be stealthed right up until the ghost reaches her, at which point she'd be revealed / slowed.

Now that i have had a few games to mess around with tear lux i thought id post my general feelings on how the build stacks up to the old S2 build.

My old S2 typical lux build was the boots-3pots-doransx2-sorcs-Dcap With scaling ap glyphs this provided 1 moderate jump in power and one significant jump. Most of the time pre dcap you would have to ignite and get 1-2 autos to get a kill on anyone who wasn't as glass cannon as you were. Once you acquired Dcap however almost everyone was fair game until they got some Hp or MR. the general power curve for this lux build was peaking at mid game followed by a consistent damage output the rest of the game with no noticeable spikes in damage generally speaking. The athenes varient of this build has lower burst but more spells flying out resulting in about the same dps imo with no fact to back that statement up.

The tear build is as follows ->flask-3pots-tear-feindish codex- boots here if you start roaming if not wait until after tome-Tome-Blastingwand-sorcs-voidstaff. A couple of things about this item build is that it is way more reactionary after tear and this is just a rough outline of what i find myself doing. This item path does sacrifice some damage early but has significant power jumps mid and late game while being very safe as you can farm/harass with spells very reliably with a tear from a mile away. Tome lets you spam spells while the mana regen from tear and tome keep you in a fair amount of mana even without blue.

Early on it is very much a death by chipping as opposed to burst and you will have to change your play style to reflect this.Once you acquire your void staff any soft target will melt under your damage pretty reliably. The item path through void is just "ok" in terms of early/mid game but once you have void your preparation is complete you have all the crucial stats for a late game lux (CDR,Mpen,Mana/mana regen) the only stats you need now are damage and maybe some bulk if you are vs something that can get to you. This is where Archangles comes in, usually when i get AA i have around 50 bonus ap from the bonus mana and it is only 5 minutes or so until i cap out tear.

Once you get your AA upgraded the pain starts to really flow and you should have around 325 ap This is your first major jump in power and your spells will start to hit even the bulky guys pretty hard. in addition seraphs embrace has a wonderful active that when combined with your own shield will give you a surprising amount of additional hp. Finally is Dcap where you will find your ap jumping from the uppers 300's to around 650. Needless to say this is the biggest power jump in this item build and really gives lux that extra power late game. Even with ad carrys running around with a warmogs you will still decimate them if you hit a binding and the front line wont be to happy with you either with your lowish cd hard hitting spells being thrown at them from out of initiation range.

TLDR: Tear lets you become a late game monster and capable of reaching the late game safely with your lower reliance on blue buff to push creep waves during sieges. A late game lux can reach 800ish ap between elixirs/baron/items and be a real nightmare for the other team to deal with. if they are not setup to deal with her.

Also base lux skin is best skin.
