Lickitung's fantastic special bulk supplemented by Eviolite allows it to wall strong special attackers such as Silvally-Ice, Wartortle, and Mr. Mime. Wish and Heal Bell complemented by its high HP stat make Lickitung a great cleric, as Wish heals itself and its teammates and Heal Bell removes status such as Spore from Shiinotic, Thunder Wave from Morgrem, and Toxic from various users like Hippopotas and Dusclops. Alternatively, Toxic can be used to cripple physical switch-ins such as Persian, Grapploct, and Stonjourner as well as bulky Pokemon with ample recovery such as Pyukumuku and Corsola. Protect allows Lickitung to reliably recover using Wish and scout for what move Choice item users such as Gourgeist-L, Fraxure, and Stonjourner lock themselves into. Oblivious makes Lickitung immune to Taunt from common users such as Krokorok and Galarian Linoone, making its job as a cleric easier.

Lickitung is best suited for balance and stall builds where its Wish, cleric support, and special bulk are greatly appreciated and its passivity isn't a big issue. Lickitung is severely pressured by strong physical attackers such as Stonjourner, Swords Dance Silvally-Ice, and Grapploct, so physical walls such as Hippopotas, Corsola, and Shiinotic are great teammates; Lickitung in turn walls special attackers such as Mr. Mime, Beheeyem, and Wartortle for them. Lickitung is weak to entry hazards, especially Toxic Spikes, so entry hazard removal from Vullaby, Galarian Mr. Mime, and Vibrava as well as Toxic Spikes absorption from Gloom and Ivysaur is extremely useful. Lickitung's support is hindered by status, so status absorbers such as Guts Machoke and Klang are appreciated. Naturally bulky offensive partners such as Silvally-Ice, Beheeyem, and Choice Band Gourgeist-L that don't have reliable recovery or are crippled by status can utilize Lickitung's cleric support to allow them to sweep or break multiple times in a game.

Wish and Heal Bell complimented by its high HP stat makes Lickitung a great cleric, although it can forgo Heal Bell for Toxic to cripple physical switch-ins such as Machoke, Mienfoo, and Farfetch'd or Pokemon that otherwise wouldn't (Remove space). The analysis must follow the same order in this paragraph as in set, so here you can just say, Lickitung is a great cleric and then detail Wish, Toxic and Heal Bell. On topic Toxic, it is mainly used to cripple bulkier threat that particullary mind SToss/Knock Off Protect allows Lickitung to reliably recover using Wish as well as scout for moves such as Focus Blast on Mr. Mime since Mr. Mime often carries NP, you don't want to click Tect and let it a free NP or what move Choice item users lock themselves into such as Gourgeist-L or Mienfoo Scarf Mienfoo is uncommun. Oblivious makes Lickitung immune to Taunt, making its job as a cleric easier name some common Taunt users, that Oblivious allows Lickitung to wall.

Lickitung is severely pressured by strong physical attackers such as Machoke, Swords Dance Silvally-Ice, and Farfetch'd, so physical walls such as Gloom, Corsola, and Solrock are great teammates to switch into, and Lickitung in turn walls special attackers such as Lampent Heal Bell+Seismic Toss can't touch Lampent, find another example, Gloom you can find a better example than a wall, and Wartortle for them. Offensive partners such as Silvally-Ice, Wartortle, and Choice Band Gourgeist-L that aren't able to recover normally or are crippled by status can utilize Lickitung's Wish and Heal Bell to allow them to attempt to sweep or break multiple times in a game. what sets these example apart from Gastly or Galarian Mr. Mime? Not every attackers lacking recovery fits well with licki. Lickitung is extremely weak to hazards, especially TSpikes, you must detail this in this analysis.

Protect allows Lickitung to reliably recover using Wish as well as scout for what move Choice item users lock themselves into such as Gourgeist-L or Farfetch’d.
