* Being an extremely fast and powerful Ghost-type with access to Calm Mind and Will-O-Wisp, Spectrier is able to flexibly set up on many different attackers.
* After a Will-O-Wisp, Hex is Spectrier's strongest Ghost-type move. The doubled Base Power of Hex allows Spectrier to remain advantaged in Calm Mind wars against Cresselia and Iron Crown and against burned Pokemon that would otherwise be able to KO Spectrier such as Annihilape and Metagross.
* Hyper Beam allows Spectrier to OHKO frail Pokemon such as Meowscarada and Haxorus.
* Calm Mind allows Spectrier to tank moves from strong special attackers such as non-Assault Vest Volcanion and KO back after one or two Calm Mind boosts with Hyper Beam.
* The Speed EVs let Spectrier outspeed all Meowscarada sets, while the Special Attack EVs let it OHKO standard Haxorus with Hyper Beam. The rest of the EVs are placed in Defense for the best odds against Choice Scarf Haxorus.
* Spectrier struggles to deal with Pokemon that do not mind being burned such as Guts Ursaluna and Hisuian Goodra, anti-setup Pokemon like Volcarona and Primarina, faster Pokemon that can OHKO it such as Chien Pao and Dragapult, and Dark-type Pokemon such as Urshifu-S and Hoopa-U. Therefore, Pokemon like Primarina and Iron Valiant make great partners.

should probably just combine the concept of neutering physical attackers and the 2nd part of the 2nd point into one point..
