Name: Drowzee
Type: Psychic / Fighting
Stat Changes: 80(+20)/48/45/55(+12)/70(-20)/42 (340)
Abilities: Night Vision / Forewarn / Inner Focus
Night Vision - Insomnia + Compound Eyes
New Moves: Aura Sphere, Bulk Up, High Jump Kick, Recover, Parting Shot
Removed Moves: None.
Justification: Going back on my plan to add mons with underepresented typing we arrive at a new fighting type for the meta, as well as a psychic type that isn't spoink. A good reason why most psychic types tend to do so poorly in LC is that their special defense stats tend to be unneseraily big while leaving them with very low physical bulk, as well as a general weakness to moves such as Knock Off and U-turn. Drowsee avoids those pitfalls while still performing well as a psychic type, being a fighting type that can deal with the influx of poison types in the tier. Its hybrid ability allows it access to more accurate Focus blasts and Hypnosis in order to make progress, and can run a high number of different sets. Possible sets include Future Sight Parting shot support, Calm Mind Bulk up Stored Power sets, Trick Room setup sets, Hypnosis sets and much more.

Name: Corphish
Type: Water / Dark
Stat Changes: 50 (+7)/80/65/50/35/46 (+11)
Abilities: Adaptability / Hyper Cutter / Shell Armor
New Moves: Flip Turn
Removed Moves: None.
Justification: It's always been a shame that this mon has been mono water, I think with these small changes it becomes way more viable & a cool niche on certain teams. Dark is a great offensive type, it has access to many great moves & gets slightly better hitting 15 speed with Jolly while not being broken. Flip turn allows it to be able to run a CB / Scarf set and not be a complete momentum killer; while also allowing the 2 set up sets to still be decent with the moves it has already.

Name: Jangmo-o
Type: Dragon / Fairy
Stat Changes: 65 (+20) / 65 (+10) / 65 / 55 (+10) / 55 (+10) / 55 (+10)
Abilities: Bulletproof / Overcoat / Marvel Scale
New Moves: Heart Swap / Take Heart / Draining Kiss / Play Rough / Slack Off
Removed Moves: none
Justification: Mon is just shit gible and axew so I went all in on the Kommo-o style without making it broken ahh clang soul. look at this swagger.

I gave him heart themed moves and he’s now a viable attacker both physically and specially without being too fast or too strong

Name: Rookidee
Type: Flying/Steel
Stat Changes: 38 / 65 (+18) / 55 (+20) / 33 / 55 (+20) / 65 (+8)
Abilities: ShonenSpirit / Unnerve / Reckless
ShonenSpirit: Stamina + Moxie
New Moves: Steel Wing / Iron head / Spikes / Body Press / Double Edge /
Removed Moves: Agility

Justification:
I based this rookidee on Sword Pokedex:"It will bravely challenge any opponent, no matter how powerful. This Pokémon benefits from every battle—even a defeat increases its strength a bit." Reckless ability come from the fact that he will always fight even against stronger opponent and the ShonenSpirit ability come from the fact that Rookidee remind me of a Shonen MC, he don't seems strong but will never run away and always fight and become better even in defeat:"even a defeat increases its strength a bit".

I want to add a versatile Steel pokemon in this meta as they are imo real bad atm, the boost in basestats are calculated to make him either go offensive and make use of Moxie in ShonenSpirit and Reckless or defensive and make use of Stamina in ShonenSpirit + body press and spikes ect... but he need a lot of invest to reach maximum potential either in defense or offense and prevent him to be able to play in both side. Agility was removed because i do think that with ShonenSpirit rookidee should not be allowed to have boosting move even more with a move like power trip. 65 Speed allow him to reach the 17 speed tier which mean he will tie with mon like mienfoo tentacool but still be outspeed by pokemon which can k.o or just neutralize him: elekid, voltorb-h, will o wisp dreepy, blitzzle, salandit ect..

Voting time!
During this phase, you can vote for your three favorite subs by using the following template:
4 (name)
2 (
name)
1
(name)
3 (name)
2 (
name)
1
(name)

The top 2 winners will be reworked and added to the mod. You can self vote yourself number one for this slate.
Pokémon from Slate 4 won't be added until Round 4 of the tournament. This means Round 3 will still use Pokémon up to Slate 3.

Name: Rockruff :Rockruff:
Type: Rock/Ground
Stat Changes: 35/45/40/30/40/95
Abilities: Tough Claws / Vital Spirit | Steadfast (Own Tempo)
New Moves: Stomping Tantrum
Removed Moves: Play Rough
Justification: Very Fast Cleaner. Noticed that there were no 20 speeds and thought would be a good addition. No pivoting makes it a momentum loss, but very powerful in the right team. Has to rely on tough claws boosted moves to deal any real damage though.
Name: Blitzle :blitzle:
Type: Electric
Stat Changes: +13 def, +13 spdef, +10 spatk [45/60/45/60/45/76 (331)]
Abilities: Lightning Drive / Sap Sipper
Custom Ability: Lightning Drive, a combination of Lightning Rod and Motor drive
New Moves: Overheat, Parabolic Charge
Removed Moves: This mon has nothing to remove
Justification: Blitzle is a sad mon with basically only electric and normal move options besides tera blast and below average stats. The new ability gives it the ability come in on strong electric types like voltorb and become a threat, while also allowing it to invest more in bulk if you want to attempt to hard counter electric types. The defense boosts let it it have serviceable defenses, combined with parabolic charge it can live for more that 1 turn. 10 spatk lets it hit 16 spatk with modest which is a slight boost but helps with the longevity combined with the defense boosts and parabolic charge. Overheat gives it a way to hit grass types but only once cause it can't boost its special attack without switching to an opponents electric move, and if big zebra can get it why can't little zebra. These changes don't aim to make Blitzle insane but more a different option or dealing with electrics, or an electric with less tera reliant options to threaten its checks.
Name: Magikarp :magikarp:
Type: Water
Stat Changes: No
Abilities: Karp's Curse, Rattled
Custom Ability: Karp's Curse: Drizzle + Swift Swim
New Moves: Hydro Pump, Flip Turn, Bounce, Celebrate, Happy Hour, Reversal and Dragon Rage
Custom Move: Dragon Rage: Deals 8 HP of damage to the target. Type: Dragon. Accuracy: 100%. PP: 16.
Removed Moves: No, it just has Tackle, Splash and Flail in Gen 9, lol.
Justification:

It's time to introduce Drizzle in LC. Since Rain is a very strong style with a reliable setter, the Mon with Drizzle has to be very weak to compensate that, in order to have Rain teams playing almost with 5vs6. And there is not weaker Water Mon than Magikarp.
Magikarp has 4 terrible Stats, but actually has higher Defense than Mienfoo (reaching 15 with neutral nature, compared to Mienfoo's 14) and is faster too. This is before taking into account the second half of the ability, Swift Swim, which even without Speed investment, will mean Magikarp is outspeeding the whole meta.
In practice, the decent bulk doesn,t matter that much, since the HP is terrible and Magikarp will want to run Damp Rock most of the time instead of Eviolite.

I gave Magikarp back all the moves it ever had, except for 1. There were 2 moves that have been Dexited. I recovered one of them, Dragon Rage, and reworked it. It now deals 8 damage instead of 40, so it can be allowed in LC. Every Mon is able to take 2 Dragon Rages, some with investment can take 3 and Munchlax can do that without investment in HP, but with it, can take 4, this is before random Oran Berries or recovery moves/abilities. Fairies of course will take 0 damage. Dragon Rage will be the main tool to deal damage for Magikarp, but it shouldn,t be used recklessly, since without Eviolite, the fish will die to almost anything, so it shouldn,t take hits.

The other move that was Dexited is Bubble. I gave Magikarp Flip Turn instead of it, so it can escape quickly after setting the Rain. Magikarp has terrible defensive sinergy anyway with all Swift Swimmers, so it won,t be able to escape right to them.

Magikarp will give Rain a new life in LC, but won,t break the style due to being terrible by itself, even with the new (old) movepool additions.
Name: Grubbin:grubbin:
Type: Bug/Electric
Stat Changes: 55/65/55/65/55/25
Abilities: Swarm, Slicing Pincers
Custom Ability: Slicing Pincers (Sharpness + Tinted Lens)
New Moves: Aerial Ace, Aqua Cutter, Cut, Cross Poison, Sword Dance
Custom Move: No
Removed Moves: Sticky Web
Justification: Grubbin (as all other bug types lol) needs some love and I think this makes sense thematically. It already learns all the widespread electric moves and it could work well as a mixed attacker. With this new custom ability it will hit hard without it being overwhelming since it's still slow as shit. This actually becomes an advantage if you try to use it as a slow defensive pivot with Volt Switch. I also added a few slicing moves so it doesn't have to rely on X-Scissor all the time. Lastly, I removed Sticky Web just in case it gets unbanned in the future. Swords Dance just for the fun :)

3. Eeveeto (own submission and goated one).
2. Earl Gr3y ( Generally against STAB Knockers in LC, but this one is actually a very cool Mon that always lacked just a little to be Top Tier, now it should be)
1. Charliezard7 (Interesting typing and ability, also nice touch of removing Sticky Web, only Spider Mons should keep the move).

Let me live bruh, I don't wanna be clicking 60% accurate hypnosis with Bad Dreams.

4 Termnal (Fun Electric-type competition and can function as a strong attacker both ways)
2 Taka (Fairy-type diversity is always good. Love the effort brought into this sub in particular, fun inclusion)
1 Earl Gr3y (Everyone is voting for it anyways, perfectly deserves to be included)

Next slate goes up Monday/Tuesday

Slate 5: The Battle Continues
unnamed.png

This is the second Free-for-All Slate we are running alongside the tournament!
Each week you have won since week 2 in the tournament, you'll earn an extra vote to use on any specific submission for the current slate.
Round 2: Voting opens for the forth slate with extra votes. The top 2 winners will be reworked and added to the mod. You can self vote yourself number one for this slate.
Slate 4 : Pokémon from Slate 4 won't be added until Round 4 of the tournament. This means Round 3 will still use Pokémon up to Slate 3.

Round 4: New Pokémon from Slate 4 will be introduced, and submitting Slate 5 will be with extra votes will begin!

Round 5: Voting for the slate opens with the extra votes, and the top 2 will be announced. You can self vote yourself number one for this slate.
Slate 5: These Pokémon will only be added for use if we reach the end of the tournament, or for any tiebreakers/playoffs, meaning Round 6 will still be played with Pokémon up to Slate 4.
(TLDR win games to earn votes so you can get pokemon in that you like)
Because this is a special slate you can submit can be any baby Pokémon that is in scarlet and violet and you have the option to give your pokemon a hybrid ability.
A hybrid ability is an ability that merges the effects of two vanilla abilities to make a new one.
Name: [Name of the Pokémon]
Type: [The Pokémon's typing]
Stat Changes: [The stats you want to change]
Abilities: [The Pokémon's set of abilities]
Custom Ability: [Not exising Ability you want to add and what it is supposed to do]
New Moves: [Any moves that you are adding to the Pokémon]
Custom Move: [Not exising move you want to add and what it is supposed to do]
Removed Moves: [Any move that you are removing from the Pokémon]
Justification: [Explain why these changes should be added to make this pokemon viable]
Submitters can submit 2 pokemon for each choice. They have the option to change the Pokémon’s type, abilities, and adding or removing moves. They have the option to submit a not existing move or ability but try to keep it simple and balanced.

Submission Deadline is 27 October GMT+2 night

Name: Cetoddle :cetoddle:
Type: Ice
Stat Changes: No
Abilities: Thick Fat, Sheer Force, Sliding Whale
Custom Ability: Sliding Whale: Slush Rush + Aftermath.
New Moves: Rapid Spin
Custom Move: No
Removed Moves: Icicle Spear, Knock Off, Superpower, Earthquake.
Justification:

Four main reasons to choose this Mon:
1. Meta for now doesn,t have updated Ice Mons.
2. Everyone in LC was very dissapointed at the beginning of the gen when it turned out Cetoddle didn,t have Slush Rush, time to fix that.
3. Yesterday I won a SCL battle with its evolution.
4. Its cute.

So, with Snow and a free turn, Cetoddle is a devastating Belly Drum sweeper. Additionally, even when Cetoddle is killed, if it is with contact move, it will severely damage the opponent. This is based on this phenomenom: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploding_whale
Cetoddle (according to Bulbapedia) is the only Pokemon that learns Ice SPINNER by level, therefore I gave him Rapid Spin. Now both Cetoddle and Sandshrew can be spinners for Snow team, one Spins, the other sweeps or breaks.
Since obviously a well executed Belly Drum is hard to stop, I removed some moves. Notable, multi-hit moves in LC are very strong, leading to calcs like this one when accounting for Tera:
+6 252+ Atk Tera Ice Cetoddle Icicle Spear (4 hits) vs. 116 HP / 180+ Def Eviolite Mareanie: 20-28 (86.9 - 121.7%) -- approx. 93.8% chance to OHKO < 5 hits obviously OHKO

Knock Off is also the best move in LC, therefore it should have a low distribution, and obviously be removed from a fast Belly Drum sweeper.
Being a baby Pokemon is also enough of a justification to remove Earthquake and Superpower. Despite losing EQ, Cetoddle still has very good coverage and even Ground moves like High Horsepower or Stomping Tantrum. However, should Mareanie Tera (to Water for example), and it will live a non Tera +6 move (EQ killed even after Tera Water). Other Bulky Waters not weak to Ground also have a better shot at taking Cetoddle's +6 hits.

Losing Icicle Spear, Knock Off and EQ differentiates Cetoddle from Alola Sandshrew, who has all these moves alongside SD and a far better defensive typing.

Regarding checks, the Main one is preventing Cetoddle from setting-up, abusing its bad mono-Ice typing. The high HP also back-fires Cetoddle due to Oran Berry being far less effective on it. If Cetoddle does get to set-up, priority moves are the best answer, but also Unaware Mons (Wooper and Fuecoco), some bulky Waters, timely Tera, Bronzor, Cloud Nine Psyduck, opposing Alola Sandshrew and Protect/Switch stalling to wait until Snow ends.

Name: Mareep
Type: Electric / Grass
Stat Changes: +15 SpDef
Abilities: Static, Fluffy Charger
Custom Ability: Fluffy Charger: Fluffy + Electromorphosis
New Moves: Slack Off, Body Press, Giga Drain, Worry Seed
Justification: Make Mareep actually useful and give it a unique niche. Fluffy + Electromorphosis gives it excellent defensive utility against common threats, but the addition of Grass type alongside with Fluffy makes it still threaten by common fire/poison types in the meta.

:Slakoth:
Name: Slakoth
Type: Normal / Dark
Stat Changes: 60/100(+40)/60/35/35/40(+10) (330)
Abilities: Fur Coat
New Moves: Knock Off, Rapid Spin, Sucker Punch, Thunder Wave
Removed Moves: Slack Off
Justification: We haven't had a normal type yet so I thought of making a particularly strong one at that. Slakoth with Fur Coat prioritises matchups against physical attackers like Stunky, Vullaby, Tepig among others, holding gargantuan bulk on the physical side but alright special bulk. Normal Dark has the obvious drawback of losing to Mienfoo and Swablu, but its an aceptable trade not only can you tera against them, but the rest of physical attackers o the tier can struggle to break past you. It also has the option of Rapid Spin, which is a niche but acceptable option given that our available spinners can be somewhat awkward to fit on a team due to types stacking, something that is less of an issue with Slakoth. Removed Slack Off on the account that it is extremely bulky by itself.
