This game is gonna be low power. I decided Smogon mafia players entered a meta where they're too dependent on roles and it disincentivises them from their usual solving (which y'all are actually pretty good at, and that kinda meta often happens in communities). So this is gonna be an intentionally low power game so that it's impossible to win via mech.
Roles will have flavour, they're all gonna be themed around being low power or vanilla in some way. Most of you will be vanilla town / mafia goons. It will be an open setup game, too, I just haven't made the roles yet because...
There's no cap on the players who can play this game. It's a low power / vanilla heavy setup, there doesn't need to be, throwing together a balanced setup for any player size is pretty easy when most people are vanillas. It would be cool if this ends up being a big game, it's obviously beginner friendly because it's open setup and low power, so invite any friends you have if you want.
The only unique rule about this game is no flavour claiming, including softing / referencing your character. I think it's boring not to give any flavour at all, but using flavour to CC people anyway is the opposite of the point of this game. You can still claim your mechanical role (e.g. I'm vanilla town, or I'm doctor), but CCing happening because of role names or whatever will not be tolerated.
