Launching a challenge on the Ship of the Dead, Naglfar!
4v4 FE Doubles

All Items
All Abilities

This mythical ship, constructed from the nails of the dead, houses a full fledged arena, permitting every move save those who require natural plant life or weather changing moves.
Mournful shades are watching the match, and at the end of every action there's a 30% chance that they'll try to copy a move that was used, targetting it randomly. Due to their unliving nature, they use the moves at 50% their BAP, and with a Rank 3 Attack/Special Attack.
Take care when using powerful inaccurate moves, since they could damage the ship, bringing on you the wrath of the shades. (details of the wrath up to referee's imagination).

Yay Norse mythology, boo dead guy toenails. Accepting (although changing it to Singles would be nice, either way is fine.

Wrath of the Naglfar
(punishments incurred by missing moves with a base power ≥ [greater than or equal] to 8)
  • First Miss:

  • Third Miss:
    • The attack is rebounded at the user with a 2 BAP increase and is thrown off the ship, taking 1 (one) action to get back on the boat
After you miss a third time the miss counter resets

Hello ASB fans! Welcome to the Naglfar, a boat made of the toenails of the dead. It is said that the sailing of the Naglfar is a sign that Ragnarok is in progress. I suppose it could be worse, we could be in hell (*cough* shameless plug *cough*) Anyways, our braves battlers and possibly the heralds of Ragnarok are: our resident wolfan, LupusAter & the pony luvin' Waterwarrior! Ragnarok!...I mean, Battle! Begin!

Let's see here... Twilight @ Expert Belt and Rarity @ Expert Belt, try your best, and be prepared to use your magic. We may be able to take them on by going straight to the offense, but frankly, I'm not sure I like this match-up.

Twilight: Psychic -> Psyshock -> Psychic (all Fjalar)
If targeted by Sucker Punch, Helping Hand (Rarity) the first time and Toxic (Munnin) the second

Rarity: Hydro Pump (Fjalar) -> Ice Beam (Muninn) -> Ice Beam (Munnin)
If Tormented, change A3 to Hydro Pump (Munnin)
If Munnin is in the evasive stage of Fly when you would act, change that action to Twister

We're risking the wrath of the ship here, so let's just hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the butt...

238.png

*takes swig of mead*

This is the first round aboard the Naglfar! The battlers, a werewolf and a brony, undaunted by their surrounds send out their beginning pokemon. On Lupus' side a powerhouse duo in Fjalar (Blaziken) & Munnin (Honchkrow) while on the other side two refined pokemon praised for their beauty and elegance Twilight (Espeon) & Rarity (Milotic).

The battle starts explosively with Twilight slamming Fjalar into the ground with her psychic powers. Not one to be outdone Rarity adds to this assault by blasting the downed chicken with a torrent of water. Fjalar gets up not one to be defeated and flings sand into Twilight's eyes–possibly causing her to miss. Munnin sets up 3 clones of himself while his teammate is getting drenched.

Twilight again exerts her psychic powers on the beaten Blaziken, critically damaging the fighter. Rarity opts to focus her attention on Munnin shooting ice beams at his clones–alas she was only able to hit clones. Fjalar smacks his serpentine foe with a super charged Thunder Punch, maybe the extra damage is caused by the candy he's chewing on. Munnin focuses his dark intent on Twilight striking her with a black aura. That has got to sting!

Fjalar has become severely weaken from the constant psychic assault and goes to make one more move, however Twilight stops him before he can even begin and throws him into the deck once more–knocking out the kickin' chicken. Not dissuaded by last actions results Rarity ice beams Munnin once more, however like last round she only hits a clone. Munnin this time flys into Twilight engulfed in the dark aura, dealing even more damage to the psy-kitty!

Lupus is behind in the battle, already down 3-4 can he come back against such well equipped opponents?

Speed Order: Espeon > Milotic > Absol > Honchkrow
238.png

Lupus replaces his fallen Blaziken with, Hel the Absol. Both of Lupus' pokemon are raring and fresh for battle while Warrior's ponies are weakened, Twilight especially.

Rarity starts the battle summoning a massive twister, while it dealt little damage it finished off Munnin's last clone making him vulnerable from here on out. Hel slaps Twilight around with administering payback that critically damages the psy-kitty. Munnin is unable to finish of Twilight has he flinched but the Twister that Rarity summoned earlier. Espeon unleashes her Secret Strike dealing massive amounts of super effective damage to the disaster pokemon.

Twilight has to cool down after using her secret strike, luckily her opponents have shifted their attention to Rarity, with both pokemon slamming into the sea serpent. Not before Rarity punished her avian foe with an Ice Beam.

Espeon starts again with hidden power, once more dealing super effective damage to Hel. Rarity fires another Ice Beam at Munnin, encasing him in a block of ice. As a counter balance Hel's Night Slash scores a critical hit, ending the beautiful pokemon's time on the battlefield–marking her with a red gash as a memento of this encounter!

Lupus equalises the score to 3-3 however both sides have pokemon that are weakened, Espeon most notably is one attack away from fainting. Conversely Honchkrow is rendered useless for the first action next turn and like Absol is low on the HP count. It could be Waterwarrior's advantage however his pokemon in reserve are not known as powerful attackers. This battle could still go either way!

My amazing maths and comprehension skills, fix'd! Sorry 'bout that

I think you accidentally gave the damage from Payback to both Twilight and Rarity, as 77-13.5-19-18.5 = 26, not -1. So yeah, WE SHALL FIGHT ON! DESTROY BOTH OF THEM!

Also, due to cooldown not ending the consecutive EN penalty, Twilight should only have 45 EN left.

Twilight: Hidden Power (Hel) -> Round (Munnin) -> Hidden Power (Munnin)
If Hel targets you with Sucker Punch, change that action to Helping Hand (Rarity)
If Hel uses Detect A1 successfully without transfer, change that action to Helping Hand (Rarity) and push back

Rarity: Brine (Hel) -> Ice Beam (Munnin) -> Brine (Munnin)
If Hel uses Detect A1 successfully without transfer, change that action to Ice Beam (Munnin) and push back
If Munnin has Double Team clones up when you would act, change that action to Surf

Next time I devise a foolproof plan, remind me not to use it...
Hel, finish that Espeon.
Quick Attack+Night Slash Espeon- cooldown(Sucker Punch Espeon)- Sucker Punch Milotic.
Muninn, we got quite unlucky, but we'll have our revenge.
Thaw(Payback Milotic)- Payback Milotic- Sucker Punch Milotic.

The new rounds starts explosively as Hel launches herself towards Twilight with a powerful combo attack, cleanly knocking her out! Milotic retaliates immediately with a torrent of salty water dealing copious amounts of damage to the wounded Absol. Whats this, Munnin thawed out. Thats good news for Lupus, not so from Waterwarrior.

Hel needs to cool down after expending energy on that fast combo attack. Although Hel is in a perfect position to be taken down, Rarity opts to attack the de-thawed bird–firing another Ice Beam at the boss pokemon. Munnin responds in kind with a powerful Payback.

Hel again starts first this action, easily knocking out the weakened Rarity with a strong Sucker Punch.

Lupus has given himself the advantage being up 3-2, however both his active moves are severely weakened. Can Waterwarrior take advantage of this situation and have a reasonably healthy team to take Lupus' last pokemon? As I've said previously this is still anybody's game!

Well this round shouldn't last very long, should it?

Fluttershy @ King's Rock (yes, really)
Pinkie Pie @ Light Clay

Alright, show us what you got!

Time for a switch.
Swapping Muninn with Fenris.

Hel, Taunt Blissey- Night Slash Blissey- Sucker Punch Blissey.
If Blissey is already Taunted when you act A1, sub that action with Night Slash Blissey.
If Blissey uses Protect A1, sub that action with Feint.
Fenris, Taunt Blissey- Flame Charge Blissey- Fire Fang Blissey.

It appears that you have made a grave mistake. What might that mistake be, you ask? Underestimating a certain someone:

MOTHERFUCKING WHIMSICOTT, THE FACE OF MOTHERFUCKING EVIL.

Fluttershy: Protect (Pinkie Pie) -> Encore (Fenris) -> Hurricane (Fenris)

Pinkie Pie: Hyper Beam (Hel) -> Echoed Voice (Fenris) -> Hyper Voice (Fenris)

Boom.

New faces appear on the ship of the dead, Fluttershy, a Whismicott and Pinky Pie, a Blissey. Lupus also switches his Honchkrow out for the intimidating Fenris, a Houndoom.

Both Hel and Fenris start but insulting Pinkie Pie hurting her feelings, however Fluttershy comes to the rescue protecting her from the bad language. In response Pinky Pie unleashes an powerful beam of energy fuelled by friendship at Hel–the magic of friendship proves too mighty as Lupus' Absol collapses.

Fluttershy thought of a clever way to punish Fenris for insulting Pinky by making him say more rude things until he feels bad about himself–the Whismicott is demanding an encore. Fenris is compelled to oblige Fluttershy's order and continues to Taunt Pinkie. Undisturbed by Fenris' language Pinky preps her voice for her up coming solo. A smooth, chipper tone comes from the happiness pokemon uplifting everyone's mood... expect for Fenris and his master they visibly cringed at the sound.

Flutteryshy done with playing passively summons a huge cyclone that could potentially damage the Naglfar! However she succede's in throwing around Lupus' beaten Houndoom with strong winds. Fenris continues to Taunt Pinky Pie–he has well and truly learnt his lesson as the encore has ended! Pinky Pie now properly prepped unleashes her hyper voice! It sounded like hours of pony step! The sheer volume and bass dropping continues to damage Fenris & his trainer.

Munnin returns to the field! The boss pokemon looks very tired but still raring to go!

Fluttershy begins the round but telling Munnin to curb his language. Not one to listen to others (except his trainer) Munnin slams into Fluttershy engulfed in a blue aura–dealing a significant amount of damage so much so that he causes damage to himself! Pinky Pie channels her energy into a summoning a massive lightning bolt that puts the weakened Honchkrow out of commission. Fenris unleashed a devastating stream of hellfire dealing significant damage to Fluttershy. The fire was so hot that Fluttershy was left with a nasty burn!

Fluttershy shot seeds at Fenris that quickly sprouted into vines. Pinky plays more pony step having the same effect on Fenris like last time. Fenris is left with a turn of cool down as a equaliser to the massive attack last action. Whats this? The seeds are linked to Fluttershy negating the damage from her burn!

Another cyclone wrecks the arena, tossing Fenris around like a ragdoll (much like last round). However this time Fenris is unable to get up quickly enough and forfeits his action. Blissey harnesses her power over electricity a second time, firing a weaker bolt of lighting at the downed Fenris.

The battle is winding down now and it seems Lupus has been pushed into a corner by the brony. Is there anyway he can even the battlefield or is this loss an inevitability?

The ponies, Fluttershy & Pinky Pie blast their powerful attacks at Fenris the downed Houndoom. Fluttershy sends a hurricane the hellhound's way however she misses by mere centimetres triggering the wrath of the ship that was never incurred this entire match! The powerful winds that Fluttershy commanded have turned against her, dealing significant damage despite the power drop. Fenris finishes the job with a Flamethrower lowering the score of the match to 1-1. Pinky Pie however is more precise with her attacks and finishes Fenris with a final fucking HYPER BEAM!!! Destrolishing the houndoom and winning the match with a solid 1-0 Waterwarriors way!
