It turns out megagross has just enough special attack to make mixed sets not suck, so I figured why the hell not give it HP Fire? Especially since scizor doesn't always run thief and barely 2hkos when it does, while you 2hko right back with a speed advantage. It also OHKOs kartana and hits ferrothorn without procing Iron Barbs if you need that.

116+ Atk Technician Mega Scizor Thief vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Metagross: 82-98 (52.9 - 63.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
20 SpA Mega Metagross Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 116 SpD Mega Scizor: 88-108 (49.7 - 61%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO

So, we all know how annoying it is to evolve Porygon into Porygon-Z, but how about you just leave it as a Porygon2?

While Scizor can't beat P2 1v1 because of Foul Play, it is a great switch in to our digital duck friend, taking every move it has pretty well and scaring it out with the threat of Knock Off. That is, until it reveals it is actually Z-Conversion!

116+ Atk Technician Mega Scizor Bullet Punch vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Porygon2: 21-25 (13.1 - 15.6%) -- possible 7HKO

Also, the Scizor spread is wasting 4 EVs on Defense that could be used on Speed.

Voting for wadusher's HP Fire Mega Metagross. The most down-to-earth submission here, and the one I'd most likely use (barring perhaps my own.)
Also, exactly how much usage does a set need to not be an effective lure?
Sorry, meant to reply to this when opening this week up, but forgot. This can be pretty flexible, but in general I would say most things below 10% usage are pretty safe. However, this again is a pretty wide statement, so things might have to be judged case-by-case.

Katy, as some feedback, remember Battle Spot is held at a level 50 environment, which creates some minor changes regarding EVs and damage rolls.

Celesteela @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Beast Boost
Level: 50
EVs: 12 HP / 252 Atk / 20 SpD / 224 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flame Charge
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Heavy Slam

The purpose of this set is to get it in on weaker super effective attacks such as from Porygon2, Defensive Zapdos or a weakened opposing Celesteela, eat a hit, flame charge and start getting beast boosts.

The EV spread is as follows:

12HP/20SpDef allows it to live an uninvested Tbolt from Zapdos and survive rocky helmet recoil from flame charge. Also ensures Porygon2's download is in attack.

0 SpA Zapdos Thunderbolt vs. 12 HP / 20 SpD Celesteela: 120-144 (68.9 - 82.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery.

224 speed Jolly underspeeds min speed neutral nature zapdos by 1 point, which allows a +2 Flame Charge. +2 Flame charge into Stone Edge kills defensive Dos.

+2 252 Atk Celesteela Flame Charge vs. 244 HP / 244 Def Zapdos: 43-51 (21.9 - 26%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252 Atk Celesteela Stone Edge vs. 244 HP / 244 Def Zapdos: 170-202 (86.7 - 103%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery

Total of 108.6% Minimum Damage.

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD

Zapdos can switch in on Landorus to replace an intimidated physical attacker. Most Landorus run Rock Tomb or Rock slide, but a bulky Zapdos can roost that off (Rock slide does 50% on a high roll). The HP investment helps keep HP ice a 2HKO.

252+ Atk Landorus-T Continental Crush (180 BP) vs. 244 HP / 244+ Def Zapdos: 196-232 (100 - 118.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Swords Dance Gliscor. Normally Gliscor has to fish for Guillotines against Zapdos while it dishes out consistent damage with HP Ice, but SD + Facade / Ice Fang gives you a way more reliable option. The Speed EVs outspeed max Speed Celesteela, the Attack EVs OHKO Bulky Mega Genger, and HP and Defense are dumps. Max Attack can be run over max HP instead. Roost let you set up repeatedly in front of bulkier foes.

Remember this set from SM? This is mostly done to cover Aegislash, but can also force Toxapex into a poor situation if it assumes that you aren't Earthquake, wherein it has to either pray for an instant Scald burn or it does the more realistic thing, assumes you're using a common move, Hazes, and takes a massive chunk from EQ and sits in +0 Close Combat range, or simply dies to a +2 Earthquake.

The slightly less common Z-Haze(20% usage is nothing to scoff at in teambuilder prep!) is obviously harder to play against for this set, once the Earthquake is revealed, you're in a 50/50 game with them on whether you Swords Dance (if they don't Haze that turn, a kill is threatened), or you raw Earthquake (eventually making them have to Recover, which is another turn they're not using Haze) and whether they Scald (30% chance to win the encounter), Haze (if they Swords Dance and you don't Haze or Scald burn, you're going to be in a very difficult spot very soon), or Recover (recovers health lost from +0 Earthquakes).

+2 252 Atk Lucario-Mega Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 134-158 (85.3 - 100.6%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Adaptability Lucario-Mega Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 40-48 (25.4 - 30.5%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
(i like using cc as a finisher because they're inclined to switch the pex out! alternatively, you can just sd again if the pex is at like 24% and you think they'll switch out, can easily win a game if pex is their lucario check)

Pairs extremely well with McDonald's Hippo for obvious reasons, look at this roll if you're feeling discouraged from EQ on M-Lucario!
+2 252 Atk Lucario-Mega Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 134-158 (85.3 - 100.6%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

wow look at this calc and think of all the mmetagrosses you aren't doing diddly squat against. did you know +2 jolly cc kills yzard? think of the children.

even in its peak in s2, it was like 1.8% and is now down to .6%. please do not use adamant.

My personal favorite stallbreaker set. Against stally teams, you would need something against Cresselia, but other than that, you swap Blaziken in to something it naturally threatens to lure out Toxapex; SD on the switch.

Extrasensory 2HKOes PhysDef pex without the need of a boosting item/Psychic Terrain, allowing ninja to run any item it wants.

After Toxapex switches into this and Recovers it off the next turn, it gets locked into it by Encore and becomes bait for a teammate in the back or even Mega Lopunny itself, whereas it could otherwise cripple something with Scald or Toxic.

+2 252 Atk Lucario-Mega Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 134-158 (85.3 - 100.6%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

adamant is trash please do not use it i know that this could be a better roll if i used adamant but you underspeed the 100-111 speed tier which is a very big deal, including mega zard volcarona thundt mmetagross kangaskhan please do not use adamant

wow look at this calc and think of all the mmetagrosses you aren't doing diddly squat against. did you know +2 jolly cc kills yzard? think of the children.
+2 252+ Atk Lucario-Mega Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 146-172 (92.9 - 109.5%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO
+2 252+ Atk Lucario-Mega Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 146-172 (92.9 - 109.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

even in its peak in s2, it was like 1.8% and is now down to .6%. please do not use adamant.

Blaziken-Mega @ Blazikenite
Ability: Speed Boost
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- High Jump Kick
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance

My personal favorite stallbreaker set. Against stally teams, you would need something against Cresselia, but other than that, you swap Blaziken in to something it naturally threatens to lure out Toxapex; SD on the switch.

+2 252+ Atk Mega Blaziken Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 158-186 (100.6 - 118.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Greninja @ Focus Sash / Life Orb
Timid / Naive Nature
Ability: Protean
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Ice Beam
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Gunk Shot / Water Shuriken
- Extrasensory

Outside of Dark Pulse flinches, Toxapex is a safe switch-in to the ninja frog, taking little damage from its moves, including the Torrent variants. That's where the tech Extrasensory comes in. Extrasensory 2HKOes PhysDef pex without the need of a boosting item/Psychic Terrain, allowing ninja to run any item it wants.

252 SpA Protean Greninja Extrasensory vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Toxapex: 86-104 (54.7 - 66.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Return
- High Jump Kick
- Fake Out / Ice Punch / Power-Up Punch / Substitute
- Encore

252 Atk Lopunny-Mega Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 49-58 (31.2 - 36.9%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Black Sludge recovery

After Toxapex switches into this and Recovers it off the next turn, it gets locked into it by Encore and becomes bait for a teammate in the back or even Mega Lopunny itself, whereas it could otherwise cripple something with Scald or Toxic.

Tough call between the 2 EQ noms, but I'm gonna go for xeroslash's EQ Mega Blaziken, mostly because I feel it can give up a slot for EQ easier than Mega Lucario.

Encouraging more people to vote this time around, we haven't had much of a show these past few weeks.
