Project Lure That Threat! [SS RU Edition] [Current Threat: Charizard]

Voting Stage

Thank you to everyone who participated in the submission stage of this week, now let's get into the voting! Please vote for what lure you think is most effective.

:decidueye: Katy’s toxic Decidueye
Decidueye @ Leftovers
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Spirit Shackle
- Roost
- Toxic

braviary is immune to the ghost-stab of decidueye and resists the grass-stab of it really well and outspeeds decidueye as well
therefore braviary is a good counter to decidueye and can come in at any time, but with TOXIC in decidueyes movepool
it cannot come in for free at all, as its longevity is cut down and braviary can not late-game-clean as it wants to and has to roost
more often during the game so a teammate of decidueye can remove it during the process of roosting up the toxic-damage.

:duraludon: Mapplles Chople Berry Duraludon
Duraludon @ Chople Berry
Ability: Heavy Metal
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Flash Cannon
- Stealth Rock
- Thunderbolt

Basicly, Braviary will rely a bit too much on Close Combat with this set. Flying STAB being resisted by Steel type, it'll likely click easily on Close Combat.
Chople Berry on Duraludon blocks that Close Combat. While you're being faster, you won't reach an OHKO even with Rocks up cause of Braviary's investment in HP, which is why Braviary will easily stay and click that Close Combat. And damages it'll take will be enough to make it unreliable for the rest of the game, specially cause this set takes Rocks damages

:silvally-ghost: SectoniaServant’s Thunderbolt Silvally-Ghost
Silvally-Ghost @ Ghost Memory
Ability: RKS System
EVs: 172 Atk / 84 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Multi-Attack
- Thunderbolt
- U-turn
- Swords Dance

This set usually can't beat Braviary due to it being immune to Silvally's main STAB, so with Thunderbolt, and the SpA investment, it guarantees a 2hko on Braviary assuming minimum rolls for everything, even recoil from Brave Bird.

84 SpA Silvally-Ghost Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Braviary: 172-204 (42.6 - 50.6%) -- 1.2% chance to 2HKO
164 Atk Braviary Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Silvally-Ghost: 186-219 (56.1 - 66.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (the recoil amount is somewhere like 15.2, which is enough to guarantee a 2hko even if you low roll both thunderbolts.)
+1 164 Atk Braviary Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Silvally-Ghost: 276-325 (83.3 - 98.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (You still eat a brave bird at +1)

:claydol: Goldcat’s Body Press Claydol
Claydol @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 100 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Body Press
- Iron Defense
- Teleport

Body Press + Iron Defense gives Claydol some sort of offensive presence as well as checking setup users such as Braviary. It also stops Claydol from being complete Scrafty fodder. The Sp.def is to avoid the 2HKO from Indeedee's Specs Hyper Voice after rocks and then the rest is to make Body Press stronger.

:dhelmise: Expulso’s Choice Band Dhelmise
Dhelmise @ Choice Band
Ability: Steelworker
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Anchor Shot
- Power Whip
- Rock Slide
- Knock Off / Shadow Claw

In my RU Seasonal game vs zS he brought CB Dhemise and it did like 60% to Rotom-Mow with a resisted Power Whip, making me realize that this thing is absurdly strong. Base 131 Attack gives Dhelmise the highest Attack stat in the tier, and this can hit the opposing team extremely hard.

One of its best switch-ins is Braviary, which is immune to Ghost-type attacks and resists Grass-type attacks.
Dhelmise already wants to run Rock Slide to lure Charizard, but it has the added bonus of hitting Braviary hard:
252+ Atk Choice Band Dhelmise Rock Slide vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Braviary: 344-406 (85.3 - 100.7%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO

Sadly it doesn't KO :( bu braviary is very bulky. Rock Slide works as a lure if Braviary has been chipped, killing it from 85%.

If Braviary has not been chipped, however, you can take it out with Anchor Shot:
252+ Atk Choice Band Steelworker Dhelmise Anchor Shot vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Braviary: 275-324 (68.2 - 80.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
since Anchor Shot is always neutral, Braviary cannot survive by Roosting off more damage than the attack does (which is what it does vs Rock Slide-locked Dhelm if it survives the first hit.

This lets you KO Braviary if it goes for Roost, which means it is forced to attack you. If it KOs you with Brave Bird, it takes 26.5% recoil damage, usually KOing it in combination with the damage you did from Anchor Shot.

You can also Knock Off its boots and then make it unable to switch into other stuff.

TLDR;
- Dhelm can KO it with Rock Slide if it took 15% chip
- Dhelm can force a trade with Anchor Shot if at full
- Dhelm can Knock Off its boots and then KO it if it tries to switch into Dhelm again.

Voting Stage Ends 5/17/20

I’ll be voting for Expulso therefore he wins this round with his Choice Band Dhelmise! Now let’s get into next weeks threat.

thank u LegendarySerperior
Charizard
Charizard has proven itself to be a dominant force in the RU metagame by becoming #1 in usage. This is due to its fantastic defensive typing and access to defog alongside the new Heavy-Duty Boots letting it not fear Stealth Rock Damage which allows Charizard to function as the most splashable hazard remover in the metagame.
Charizard @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Defog
- Roost
- Toxic

Voting Starts 6/9/20

Banned deucer.
Hey, I'm going to revive this thread and post a lure

Silvally-Steel @ Steel Memory
Ability: RKS System
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rock Slide
- Swords Dance
- U-turn
- Multi-Attack

With Charizard resisting most of Silvally-steels attack the foe will usually switch in against it. However, this Silvally-Steel set is able to OHKO Charizard with a rock slide.

Calc:
252 Atk Silvally-Steel Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Charizard: 324-384 (109 - 129.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
