slippery boi (Eelektross) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Wild Charge

So this Eelektross is a really nice set I just came up with while sitting on the Station and thinking about the PU Overlord Stoutland. So nobody runs Band Eel because like Assault Vest is by far the best set but we are running lures because I guess our team is super weak to like Miltank and Audino maybe and we need a way to lure them out so like we are going to pick Band Eel. Choice Band Eel just immediately clicks Superpower and has a 75% to OHKO so it's basically like missing a Focus Blast and your Eel gets Statused by Toxic and you get angry because you know Mesprit wants to save Healing Wish for a different more important Pokemon.

To be honest You can forget about all that because you actually don't need Eelektross to remain on your team once you kill the Miltank. It literally becomes a Pokemon to sack and possibly gain momentum because of how slow it is. It can put dents into opposing switch-ins with Knock Off and it can Pivot off U-turn. Furthermore due it's great attack paired with Choice Band, and access to a Subpar at best physical STAB move it can really hit hard while taking recoil of course. I honestly plan on using this set as just a filler mon later in some ladder games.

252+ Atk Choice Band Eelektross Superpower vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Miltank: 378-446 (96.1 - 113.4%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Eelektross Wild Charge vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Miltank: 213-252 (54.1 - 64.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Abomasnow @ Fightinium Z
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Mild Nature
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain
- Focus Blast
- Ice Shard

With a +SpA nature, Blizzard into All Out Pummeling always KOs Miltank. Since most Abomasnow's are either LO or Choice Scarf, once they see Aboma doesn't take Life Orb damage, they'll likely stay in to take it on/set up rocks or whatever.

252+ SpA Abomasnow Blizzard vs. 248 HP / 240+ SpD Thick Fat Miltank: 72-85 (18.3 - 21.6%)
252+ SpA Abomasnow All-Out Pummeling (190 BP) vs. 248 HP / 240+ SpD Miltank: 328-386 (83.4 - 98.2%)

Lapras @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Whirlpool
- Protect
- Perish Song
- Freeze-Dry

Miltank can usually switch into Specs Lapras decently well and Miltank outspeeds and stalls out Hydro Pump pp by recovering. PerishTrap Lapras is able to trap Miltank with Whirlpool and put it on a timer and stall out the Perish Song turns with Protect.

Congratulations to Taskr for winning with his Perish Song Trap Lapras!

Week 18

Gastrodon-East @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Earth Power
- Scald
- Toxic
- Recover

Happy Luring!

Aggron @ Grassium Z
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Lonely Nature
- Head Smash
- Taunt
- Solar Beam
- Heavy Slam

Gastro can usually wall normal variants of Aggron pretty well but Z-Solar Beam functions as a one time lure that usually works because nobody predicts Z-Solar Beam lol.

  • 4 SpA Aggron Bloom Doom (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Gastrodon: 428-504 (100.4 - 118.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Leftovers recovery

Offensive Darknium CroTomb
Spiritomb @ Darkinium Z
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Dark Pulse
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

A probably safe play having a CM Tomb agains your team, is toxifying it with your gastrodon. You Switch in in the first CM and think, Oh, let's put him some deffensive pressure with poison, because his max damage is 39%, and put him offensive, pressure next. With a +1, and 252 modest spiritomb is able to KO gastro with Darknium Z.

CALCS:
+1 0 SpA Spiritomb Dark Pulse vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Gastrodon: 142-168 (33.4 - 39.5%) -- 17% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery (1 CM Standard CroTomb)

+1 252+ SpA Spiritomb Black Hole Eclipse (160 BP) vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Gastrodon: 400-472 (94.1 - 111%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery (1 CM Darknium Offensive Tomb)

Silvally-Water @ Water Memory
Ability: RKS System
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Surf
- Grass Pledge
- Thunderbolt
- Parting Shot

Silvally-Water is typically seen as a defensive Defogger losing the Toxic vs Toxic matchup due to Gastrodon having Recover and an actual offensive move, but this more offensive approach takes advantage of Silvally-Water's wide movepool. Water + Grass + Electric hits nearly the entire tier for neutral coverage and Gastrodon for 4x Super Effective.

Crustle @ Grassium Z
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Rock Blast
- Solar Beam

Gastrodon doesn't really care what Crustle throws at it and threatens to heavily damage (or even burn it) with Scald. Enter Bloom Doom! It's also quite handy for chipping opposing leads like Regirock, Carracosta and Golem.

0- SpA Crustle Bloom Doom (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Gastrodon: 408-480 (95.7 - 112.6%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery

Kabutops @ Liechi Berry
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Stone Edge
- Liquidation
- Natural Gift

Lieche berry makes Natural Gift a 100bp grass move bopping gastrodon. Gastrodon usually walls Kabutops so it's not hard to pull this off, specially if you SD on the switch.

252+ Atk Liechi Berry Kabutops Natural Gift (100 BP Grass) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gastrodon: 404-476 (94.8 - 111.7%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery
